    It was fiction.

    🙂

I really, really like Dick Morris, I would love to see what he has in his Safety Deposit Box. It must be deadly for the Clintons.

One thing he didn’t mention, although it was mentioned by James Taranto and some other pundits, is that Bill completely skipped over 1998, the Monica scandal, and his convictions for perjury and obstruction of justice.

Well he wasn’t convicted so it never happened. The evil Republican thugs in the House initiated the two charges but the intellectually and morally superior Senate couldn’t cough up better than 50 honest Senators, and that’s stretching the definition of ‘honest’. The mantra of ‘if he’s fulla sh*t you must acquit’ held and he was found not guilty, ergo it never happened, ergo no need to bring it up.

He wasn’t impeached, but he did lose his law license for five years in connection with the Monica Lewinsky affair. On Clinton’s last full day as president, Jan. 19, 2001, he agreed to a five-year license suspension. The agreement came on the condition that Whitewater prosecutors would not pursue criminal charges against him after he lied under oath about his relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. http://www.nbcnews.com/id/10904831/ns/politics/t/bill-clinton-can-re-apply-his-lawyer-license/#.V5l0hqIYO-Q

          In addition:

Clinton accepted the penalty under a deal with Special Prosecutor Robert Ray, a successor to Kenneth W. Starr. The panel voted to disbar Clinton for five years and impose a $250,000 fine. Clinton has paid the fine.

We’re splitting hairs. He was impeached on thectwo charges by the House but the Senate couldn’t get 2/3rds of the Senators to follow thru with his removal. I thonk the loss of his law license was like a chameleon losing its tail, satified the predator but allowed the lizard to escape. He wasn’t going to practice law after he left the WH, he had his escape plan fully prepared and fingers in the cookie jar before he stole the towels and silverware.

Well the $250,000 had to pinch a bit.

Only if HE actually paid it. Look at the favors, not including the tsunami of presidential pardons, he gave out in the last year he was there. Remember, he and Hillary claimed they were penniless, bankrupt, when they unassed the WH, only to suddenly stumble upon the pot of leprechaun’s gold shortly thereafter. Don’t be lokin’ much like either of them missed many meals between January 201 and now, do it?

I believe that the difference between Nixon and Clinton was that Nixon wanted to avoid the impeachment process for a number of reasons, not the least of which would be the damage it would do to the country. Bill was going to ride that pony straight to the end and cause whatever damage he could in the process, ruining Senators’ lives, causing upheaval in the government, whatever – if hecwas going down the whole xxxxxxx system was hoing down with hom.
Nixon stoll had some shred of decency and patriot in him, Clinton is a narcissist, crook and all around POS.
