I read what Tessa said above this morning. Yesterday was a bad day for me also. There are days when those feelings of darkness and gloom just about overwhelm my attempts to stay balanced. Nothing unusual is going on in my personal life. I sometimes just feel like it’s the darkness all over the world, affecting me and other people. Yesterday morning, reading comments from a UK article, I think it was about the priest, someone said the simplest thing that just hit me hard. The comment went something like: “I used to wake up every morning feeling happy. Now I wake up already feeling sad.” Very simple, but how much truth in there.

I used to skip all over the internet, looking at news. A few years ago, I stopped that. I look at Drudge and before I even go there, I brace myself. There are days I won’t even look, which is so different from the way I’ve always been, interested in what is going on.

      • Pam, I think many people are feeling the same way. Hopefully the adage of its “darkest before the dawn” is true and we will be charting a new course beginning in January. I have to be careful what I read and see these days as it can make me very worried for our future. I do think many people are beginning to awaken to the problems we are facing and want a new direction. It seems there is a real rise in nationalism and a desire to protect sovereignty so we just have to be strong and hang on a bit longer. You aren’t alone. (((Hugs)))

Good morning! Another sunny, hot, summer day in my neighborhood. I hope you all have pleasant weather too.

Trump and Pence have has three events today – first, a speech in Florida in about 30 minutes or so, a Town Hall in Scranton, PA at 3:00 pm, and a rally in Toledo, OH, at 8:00 pm. Live streaming is available for all three.

NOTE: Trump and Pence will appear together in Scranton. Pence will be in Waukesha, WI tonight at 7:00 pm, while Trump is in Toledo. Tomorrow, Trump will be in Iowa (2 events) while Pence will be in Michigan (2 events).

    Wanderer moon
    smiling a
    faintly ironical smile
    at this
    brilliant, dew-moistened
    summer morning,—
    a detached
    sleepily indifferent
    smile, a
    wanderer’s smile,—
    if I should
    buy a shirt
    your color and
    put on a necktie
    sky-blue
    where would they carry me?

Pence is going to be here in town today (Waukesha WI) with Walker. I have tickets but I am undecided as to whether I am going or not 1) I do not want to see Scott. I am so pissed I would just glare at him. Scott is going to act like an ass I can guarantee it. 2) That rat Ryan may show up 3) I have a better offer 😀

Reasons for going 1) I want Trump to know WI supports him 2) I’d like to see Pence in person 3) Lots of people I know are going

Opinions? Should I go should ?

I am really interested in seeing people’s reaction to Scott if he acts like a jerk. He is deity here. Mark Belling, Vicky McKenna Jay Webber all local conservative talk show hosts are all now on the Trump Train. Vicky was never a Never Trumper and never vicious in her criticism of him.

Belling and Webber were brutal. Belling is now acting all I was never a “Never Trumper” and perhaps he didn’t say the words “Never Trump” but he was a biased party hack who said horrific things about Trump. Belling went so far to shriek on the radio about how if Trump broke campaign boundary laws by getting too close to a polling place he should be arrested.

Anyhow I really have no desire to have to look at Webber or Beliing as I consider both them frauds and suspect they will be there.

I know nothing about Charlie Sykes other than he is a wretched person who was a Never Trumper and may still be.

  8. Morning all! Well yesterday I was hit by what I’m calling the curse of Hillary. My A/C went out, my car broke and needs expensive repairs, and my washing machine flooded the laundry room twice. My poor hubby… I felt awful calling him to come home from work to deal with it. Blah!!! Such is life! 🙂 I asked him if it’s better to have everything hit on one day or it be spread out, he was not amused.

The toughest thing is my car. I can’t go anywhere to get out of the heat. It’s going to have to go into the dealership as it’s something with the brake system and the A/C went out on it too. Weird how this all happened on the same day.

Good luck with the dealership. My husband’s truck, which is a newer vehicle started having reduced engine power, he changed out sensors people told him to change out and it didn’t fix it.
He took it to a mechanic and they put a new throttle body on it and it didn’t fix it.
He then took it to the dealership who told him it would be a $80 diagnostic fee as long as it took an hour or less to diagnose it. Ended up costing $120 for the diagnostic fee, then $240 for a new wiring harness, plus $140 labor, so $500 later and within two days, reduced engine power again.
He’s now looking for him an older truck and in the meantime is driving the old farm truck more than he’s driving his.

I agree, like my husband’s truck, it has several sensors and electronic devices to go through just for it to know that when you push on the gas pedal you’re calling for gas.
The simple days of cables doing that job are over.

Our old truck needed the transmission rebuilt, it cost us $900. My brother has a 2012 car that the transmission went out on, it cost him $5000 and he had to take it to a dealership because he couldn’t find a mechanic who would tackle it.

A while back, my speedometer cable corroded. Did you know that the output from the speedometer controls the automatic transmission? I didn’t (I suppose I should have). My transmission stopped shifting correctly, and I thought it was the transmission. Fortunately, it wasn’t. Still expensive, though.

I wonder if the new vehicles even have speedometer cables? I know my sister-in-law who has a 2014 car, her speedometer quit working and they replaced the entire dash panel. You’d think for a car that new it would still be under warranty, but it cost her quite a bit to get it fixed.

No doubt. I have an ’05 truck I use as my main farm ride and it is lousy with computers, you do virtually nothing when driving anymore, the controls feed into computers that control the action. Steering, gas, braking, shifting…all computer controlled to some degree.
Back in the post-911 days DARPA had a program where they tried to develop ways of hacking into the computers that controlled automobiles. Systems built into your cars like OnStar are continually monitoring your vehicle, reporting things like oil, gas, water levels and your location back to GM and other makers now have like systems installed so DARPA thought they could use the wifi links in the vehicles to get into the vehicle’s main computer and control the vehicle, turning them off, making them brake, steering them off the road, etc. Forbes got wind of the program about three years ago and got a hacker to hack into a Prius, I believe it was, and just a few months back the FBI released a bulletin warning newer car owners that it’s possible for hackers to get into your car’s control system when you have a third party device connected into your car’s wifi system.
So yeah, stuff can go very wrong, from a loose bolt to a computer glitch to some geek living in his folk’s basement taking your car for a remote ride…that old Schwinn’s looking better all the time.

Roger that, and part of the issue is that governments wanted the electronics in vehicles accessible to outside sources so that in ‘criminal’ cases they could be tracked/controlled. Europeans developed a little EMP geneator on wheels that could driven under a vehicle they were chasing and triggered to wipe out the vehicle’s electronics. Much easier now where they just call and someone pushes a button to kill your kar.

Another is cheap R&D. The electronics isn’t new technology, just how it’s being used. Components with known security issues are used in new designs because that is all that is available to the manufacture to purchase. Nobody designs and builds from scratch anymore.

We’re definately running out of tin foil hat reply space. Yes, frequencies are an issue in using a microwave but as with any other ‘not made for the job’ product you’re stuck with tinkering with it. Bottom line is you get the appropriate tool for the job. I’m not going to be storing things I’ll need like my rechargable batteries and solar chargers in anything but a box I know will work.
I’d offer that for economic reasons vehicle electronics stay the same as long as the subcontractor can work it. There’s also a fine line between what governments want and how secure the car makers can make the cars. I’m buying not what I want at a dealership, I’m getting what makers and government agencies say I can buy. I know, I’ve been trying to buy a new truck that has no wifi connectivity for two years and, except for some bottom-of-the-barrel fleet vehicles it’s no dice.

My brother was telling me the other day about his son buying a 76 Ford and he came over in it and parked behind my brother’s car.
He said during the day he was going to run to the store and forgot about the truck and went to back up and bumped the truck. He said he took it to a body shop and they told him it would cost $3000 to fix it. He then had to fight with his insurance company to pay for it because he did it in his drive.
The old truck didn’t even have a scratch. lol

I’m usually not the superstitious type, but honestly, things breaking down like that have almost always seemed to come in three’s at our house. I’d be prioritizing the A/C if it were me – can’t stand it when it’s so hot. Hope everything’s fixed for you by now.

      • Thanks. The A/C guy is coming this evening, but he just determines the problem, hopefully he can send the repairman out tomorrow. Blessedly it’s much cooler today than it has been. Hubby fixed the leak problem. The car is gonna have to wait a bit and I have a feeling it will be in the shop for a while.

This is a stupid argument, there are two Republican Presidents still alive, both Bushes whose son/brother got his rear kicked and are all butt hurt.
Yet, on the rat side there are three(I don’t know if Carter is speaking or not), one who is the husband of the rat nominee, the other the guy who chose her for SOS.

McCaskill had been reluctant to address the scandal. She opened the segment by bashing Republicans for not being able to woo former presidents into attending their convention last week, calling it a “real contrast” from the Democratic convention.

My imagination or have y’all noticed a sharp downtick in the MSM and government reporting on how warm and huggy all these illegal ‘Mexican’ and Syrian refugees we’re hosting are and how lucky were are to getting them? Also noticing a slug of black women speaking at the Rat convention but no proportional-to-their-party-numbers Latina women. And where are those representitive Rat Moslem refugee women speakers?

Figures, that’s one of their main issues and has been for decades. What could possibly go wrong in a country where the law aniding citizens are denied weapons while the likes of Hillary, Obama and Rahm control their own thug armies?

I’m truly surprised that both conventions are as calm as they have been. From what was poised to be a 68-revisited pair of conventions they sorta whimped out.

Watching ‘Inside Edition’ (CBS), while bragging they’re broadcasting live from the Convention, did a long warm/fuzzy piece on Hillary while doing a long nasty piece on Trump, including using sketchy info to tie him to Putin and the spilled DNC emails. MSM’s too busy trying to find enough lip balm in Philly to keep their Rat kissing apparatus from chapping to cover anything but their asses.

Wait! Just dawned on me – if Hillary loses she can partner with Planned Parenthood, Bill and Obama’s new association. They could fund abortion clinics in African nations, sell the harvested products to PP’s old buyer network and split the profits. Bill’s personal cash box banks PP, the POTuS uses his notoriety to market the process, Hillary does the marketing and, viola, any number of personal and progressive goals met.

On that same theme, let’s see how much PP donates, directly and thru cutouts, to Hillary’s campaign. Their Murder for Profit scheme is too profitable to let slide.

Does Trump have to debate Hillary? Can he “just say no”? I mean, there really is nothing to debate. She is a socialist. He is a capitalist. She is a Globalican. He is an American. Socialism is not compatible with The Constitution. End of subject. Nothing to even debate as not coming from the same premise. Can’t Trump just say, No need to debate. Wasted effort. She is not running for president of United States of America, she is running to usurp it. He does not have time. Oh, I don’t really mean this, I suppose; just daydreaming.

I wonder what the heck they have planned? I see Bridenstine is on the speaker list. I like him, although I was disappointed in him campaigning in this state for Cruz and for dumping on Trump, which I let him know. To his credit as soon as Cruz suspended he said he was backing Trump.

I guess I’ll call his office tomorrow and let him know attending a gathering with NeverTrumpers is not what most of us who have helped him expect from him. I’ll also go through my list and let others in this state and those in his district know about it.

I might also send him Cruz’ favorability ratings since he acted like an ass at the convention.
