Baltimore: Charges against three remaining officers dropped in Freddie Gray Case

freddie-grayThe Baltimore Sun:

Prosecutors dropped all remaining charges against three Baltimore police officers accused in the arrest and death of Freddie Gray in a downtown courtroom on Wednesday morning, concluding one of the most high-profile criminal cases in Baltimore history.

The startling move was an apparent acknowledgement of the unlikelihood of a conviction following the acquittals of three other officers on similar and more serious charges by Circuit Judge Barry G. Williams, who was expected to preside over the remaining trials as well.

It also means the office of Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby will secure no convictions in the case after more than a year of dogged fighting, against increasingly heavy odds, to hold someone criminally accountable in Gray’s death.

As someone on Facebook just pointed out, it is ironic that this occurs the day following “Thug Mom Night” at the DNC Convention.

And speaking of ironic and coincidental along with the DNC, it’s been announced that John Hinkley Jr will be released as earlt as next month. He’ll be released to his mom’s care in Williamsburg, VA and I do believe the VA gov just announced he’s going to sign an executive order that will allow thousands upon thousands of convicted felons to vote.
Felons for Hillary..jailbirds of a feather.

This bird is as evil as Hillary.

During Mosby’s presser she is still blaming the police. And she is playing the victim only second in victimhood to the long suffering mother and step father of Freddie Gray whose only “crime” was running away from the police. 🙄

Heh heh heh The brave and fearless Mosby was mocked, physically and professionally threatened, ridiculed, harassed and even sued 😀 !

Why did Mosby get so soundly beat in the court of law? In her words

“The prosecution of on duty police officers in this country is unsurprisingly rare and blatantly fraught with systemic and inherent complications. Unlike with other cases where prosecutors work closely with police to investigate what actually occurred, what we realized very early on in this case is that police investigating police, whether they’re friends or whether they’re merely their colleagues was problematic.

There was a reluctance and an obvious bias that was consistently exemplified, not by the entire Baltimore police Department but by individuals within the Baltimore Police Department, at every stage within the investigation, which became blatantly apparent in the subsequent trials. Although Commissioner Davis was and has been extremely accommodating there were individual police officers that were witnesses to the case yet were part of the investigative team.

Investigations that were conducted without asking the most poignant questions. Lead detectives who were uncooperative and started a counter investigation to disprove the states case, by not executing search warrants pertaining to text messages among the police officers involved in the case, creating videos to disprove the states case, without out knowledge.

Creating notes after the case was launched to contradict the medical examiner’s conclusion. Turning these notes over to the defense attorneys months prior to turning them over to the state and yet doing them in the middle of the trial. As you can see whether investigating, interrogating, testifying, cooperating or even complying with the state we’ve all bore witness to an inherent bias which is a direct result of when police police themselves. And despite the challenges of not having an independent investigatory agency to work with us throughout this “prostegation” 😀 we still are grateful for the opportunity to show the world the reality of the justice system from start to finish.

And here comes the beginning of her ill advised defense against malicious prosecution. What a moron, she doesn’t even understand the reasoning behind the cardinal rule of law as a defendant “Shut your mouth”. Mosby you are indicting yourself you fool.

“At every step along the way due process was afforded these officers and the legitimacy of our prosecution efforts were affirmed time and time again. They were affirmed when the court commissioner signed off on the charges we filed. They were yet again affirmed when we presented our case before grand jury and secured indictments against all 6 officers in every charge that we presented to them.

    Who is this woman!

First she says that it is not her office’s role to determine guilt or innocence. As prosecutors we do not determine guilt or innocence.”

But Mosby goes on to lament,

And although we came close to convicting one of the officers 😜 when his case was tried before 12 Baltimore City residence, the judge who is within his right, has made it clear that he doesn’t agree with the States theory of the case and does not believe any of the actions or inactions of these officers rise to level of criminality.

No matter how much we disagree with these rulings. We do not believe Freddie Gray killed himself.”

    😳

The only way I can read this absolute and utter nonsense, Mosby’s hate for police and her vitriol is that this lawless woman wants Baltimore to burn to the ground and blame it on the judicial system and innocent officers.

Mosby “I must consider the dismal likelihood of conviction at this point.”

😄 Perhaps you should have consider that before your malicious prosecution started you moron😄

This woman is flat-out racist beoych.

To quote Dan Ackroyd, just replace “Jane” with “Mosby”
