Two knife-wielding terrorists burst into a church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, near Rouen in Normandy, took congregants and nuns hostage, then cut the throat of the 86-year old priest, Jacques Hamel. They were shot and killed by police.

Police are searching the building for explosives. French President Francois Hollande said that ISIS has claimed responsibility, and that France is at war with them.
There were reports the attackers shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ as they ran out of the church while at least one of the men was dressed in Islamic clothing.
There are also reports that one of the attackers was a local resident who was under electronic tag surveillance having been jailed in France for trying to travel to Syria in 2015. His bail terms allowed him to be unsupervised between 8.30am and 12.30pm – the attack happened between 9am and 11.am.
The building was one of a number of Catholic churches on a terrorist ‘hit list’ found on a suspected ISIS extremist last April.
What kind of animals would attack nuns and an elderly priest? God bless and keep this innocent victim of filthy savages.

In France, private ownership of firearms is prohibited. Now, I do carry concealed. When working about the fields, my rifle/scabbard + 50 round bandolier is on the tractor. My old Winchester has served faithfully for more than 70 years. Concealed is Colt 1911, with two magazines.
As we say in my part of the county, “we call 911, when reloading”

This is typical Moslem anti-Christian activity, off thevtop.of my head I can distinctly remember, amongst Moslem killings of priests in front of their congregations, Philippine Moslems beheading a priest in front of his congregation during Christmas mass.
That was years before 911, this is not a new thing and it is NOT ISIS, as much as they want it to be so, it is MOSLEM fundamentalist. The Moslem beheadings pre-ISIS, pre-EUROPEAN activity were barely covered if at all.
Expect more church attacks, I don’t know why it’s taken so long other than perhaps Moslem guerillas believe more Europeans care about bars, music fests and coffee shops than churches, but the logistics are more simple and the immediate effects and message are stronger than attacking more mundane events.
This brings the issue of this being a religious war right to the front, let us see howvthe Euro pols and the Pope responds to this in-your-face provocation.

Nice boilerplate and nonjudgmental response from the Pope. Maybe he should make a lone and barefoot pilgrimage to ISIS, personally apologizing for centuries of Christian perfidy and try to find a middle ground between ISIS and Christianity.

Talking to an LEA officer a few minutes ago and he reminded me of my older posts next door regarding Moslem desecrating churches in England.
For newbies or people who’ve forgotten, there are villages in England (especially western England) that have been majority populated by Moslems. This dates back decades as England tried to repopulate rural areas depopulated as the young moved to the cities for jobs and fun. Mideast immigrants were moved in, exactly as the UIS has been trying to do, and created Moslem enclaves.
Over the years the Brit press reported numerous cases of aggrieved Moslems desecrating Christian churches. First of two cases I specifically remember is the one where Moslems tired of Christian worshipers using a church the village had for centuries killed the churchwarden’s dog and hung it from the crucifix over the alter. In the second, Moslems irritated by the sound of revelers at a church Christmas party firebombed the building, which also contained children, the party was being held in. BTW, these instances were all well before 911.
The Moslems attacking other religions in the US and Europe are not new, the MSM just refuses to report on them unless the internet forces them to, and even then they try to minimize them. We’ll see more of these and more denial of their truths at all levels. Next on the denial roster: if you aren’t religious the Moslems won’t attack you as they’re only attacking religious targets.

I just have this to say to Moslems, I’m not one of those Christians who believes God intends for us to not defend ourselves. If you walk into a Church where I sit I will kill you and if there are enough of you that I run out of bullets I will not kneel for you. You might behead me in the end, but you won’t do it without a fight.
With that said I do not attend Churches with no guns signs and as a matter of fact a large percentage of Churches around here have signs welcoming guns, so I won’t be the only one with a gun.

There are many churches around with “no gun” policies where individuals go into the services with their weapons concealed anyway. And I’m glad they do.

The barbaric killing of this old priest is just horrible, as all of these attacks have been. I commented next door that I haven’t seen the MSM do what they almost always do when a child is involved, regarding the children and apparently even babies who were mowed down by that jihadist in Nice. Remember the days of pictures of the little boy “immigrant” who washed up on the shores in Europe (can’t remember exactly where)? The heart-breaking words written and all the articles? What happened to the children in Nice? It’s almost as if they never existed. Children were killed, weren’t they? I’ve seen nothing about them since the first pictures of the empty strollers. We’re getting so bombarded that it’s hard to keep up with all of the attacks. I’m so sick of hearing “thoughts and prayers”, or “we’re supporting our allies” and seeing piles of rotting flowers and those dumb candles. Then Hollande comes out and says “we’re at war with ISIS.” How many times now has he said that? I’m pretty sure today wasn’t the first time. These murderous attacks are insane and the reactions of people look pretty nuts by now, too.
