My husband eats rattlesnake, grosses me out. He had always told me about eating it and going on hunts with his family in Texas, but I was always whatever that crap won’t be happening anymore.
Then one Saturday we had a timber rattler in the yard. We had just been talking about what we were going to have for dinner after being at our kids’ ball games all day. Our dog was having a fit and he went outside to see why and came back in to grab a gun and said, “I know what’s for dinner.”
I told him he was crazy we weren’t eating that, but he skinned it and threw it on the grill. I refused to eat it and told him not to feed it to my kids, which he ignored and let them taste it behind my back.
None of them died, but I was sure mad at him at the time.

This thing was huge, it’s been too many years now for me to remember how long it was and how many rattles it had, but it was enough to have some rattler hunters impressed.
My kids took it’s rattlers to show and tell and told how they ate it’s meat.

He honestly is delusional if he thought he was going to be applauded.

Which I believe he’s a little off in the head anyway and I think his reaction the next morning is proof of that. After witnessing the reaction of not only the delegates on the floor, but the reaction of at least one donor. You’d think a sane person would have at least apologized or tried to spin it and say he wasn’t meaning for them to not vote for Trump.

He very well may have thought that, but in my book it makes him delusional.

Did he think after it wasn’t favorably received that the Texas delegates were going to favorably receive his pouting and doubling down on his speech?

I honestly think this man believed the father who told him he was anointed and possibly the wife who told him God told her he was the man.

I don’t know how the man’s brain works, maybe having one or two delegates applauding him is enough to stroke his ego.

I most likely know they Clintons better than 99% of the population.

I also know Trump better than 99% of the population.

Both will be enemies. At least Hillary won’t do it in our name.

I believe he’s a sociopath. He completely lacks empathy. That’s why he’s so dry and when he tries to be empathetic, it is awkward. I don’t think he could have seen this coming because he has no way seeing how it will play out emotionally. It wasn’t a bad speech, and he hit the right points for the most part, but completely failed to see what an emotional reaction the non-endorsement would bring.

Both sides are stupid. How can they prosecute someone for something he didn’t do? He could just say he was going to sell the cans to a scrap metal dealer, which is perfectly legal.

I can’t be absolutely sure, but those automated recycling machines won’t take cans from other states, I don’t think. I have accidentally put beer bottles in the machines from Illinois (where my daughter lives), and they are rejected.

I wish they would put a deposit on water bottles, which are the ones you find discarded everywhere. Michigan only charges deposits on pop and beer. None on water, juices, wine, or alcohol.

Maybe. We don’t have deposits like that in Washington state, but Oregon does. An ex-spouse’s large family would save up all the soda cans they drank all year and drive down to Oregon in the summer for a camping vacation. Once in Oregon, they would stop at several locations returning cans. It was enough cans that there was room for little else in vans, trucks and cars. This paid for the gas and food for during the trip each year.

My point is that he had driven quite far into the state, when he could have already have returned a good number of the cans. It’s not exactly the wilds! And, people might notice the cans are not returnable in Michigan. If they are, they are clearly marked. Also, I think the machines detect those that are returnable and those that aren’t.
