We had a small toy poodle growing up. Altogether the nastiest dog I’ve ever had. We also had a German Shepard mix. The Shepard was large and would lie on the couch with me. The poodle would get jealous and run to the window and bark like a loon indicating that some one was approaching the house, the Shepard would get up to check it out and to protect the house from whoever was approaching, of course it was a false alarm orchestrated by the poodle. Then the the rat poodle would rush over to the couch and then growl at the Shepard to try and intimidate him from getting back on the couch.
