There weren’t any babies around in my family circle when I was growing up, so I could learn to take care of them. I found myself at age 46 with two infants, 6 months apart in age…so it was like having twins. What a learning curve! There were many days when I felt like my world was nothing but being drowned in poop and pee all day.

I always worried that I was the one with the gene to have twins, with my second one the doctor was all into genes and gave me the probability of me having twins. I can’t remember now the numbers but they were too high for my comfort level.
With my third child my husband hoped I was having twins, he was hoping for a boy and girl so we’d have two of each. Of course he wasn’t the one having them, and was a little disappointed when we found it is was only one.

The biggest one has the habit of sleeping with her hand up to her face. Nothing wrong with that, per se, except she puts her hand flat on the side of her face and curls her fingers flat…all except her middle one. Though we could change that by just curling her little middle finger down or having her palm flat with fingers extended. Nope, goes right back to where she was. Wish she could talk so we could find out what she doesn’t like.

My daughter had a 3-D ultrasound with my grandson. Our first good view of him was him saluting us with that little middle finger.
He came out a thumb sucker and no amount of trying to stop it worked, which I thought was cute. The only problem, a problem that cracked me up was he would stick his thumb in his mouth, curl all fingers up except the middle one.
He hasn’t gotten broke from sucking his thumb but his mama did finally break him from saluting everyone while he sucks it. lol

Melania’s “That your word is your bond and you do what you say” vs Michelle’s “That your word is your bond and you do what you say”. Is this plagiarism.

You can invoke the five consecutive word count as a test of plagiarism, The trouble is these sentences are built from stock phrases. “Your word is your bond” is arguably unitary. “You do what you say” is five words, but also nearly a stock phrase or a very common one.

The ideas in these paragraphs are commonplaces, things many people have said in nearly the same way. Was it plagiarism? Can you plagiarize commonplaces? You probably could, but it’s pointless.

Yet this issue is going to mesmerize the public for at least 48 hours.

Hillary has blood on her hands and her presidency would see the American flag at half staff for the next four years, that was a big part of the message last night.

Loved Sheriff David Clarke, he got a little lost in the weeds but he is such a strong voice against BLM and strong advocate for law and order that I am sure that the SJW’s nearly implode at the mention of his name.

Rudy, however, did a really good job, even though he is a seasoned political speaker.

I did not vote for Trump in primary. In fact did not vote for anyone as my choice was Rick Perry who dropped out. Was never very fond of Trump but my husband worked for him when he owned Grand Hyatt and knew him to be a man who hired people of all cultures. He was also a man who got things done. He turned the old Commodore into a fine hotel. He also fixed the Wollman Memorial skating rink in Central Park in months when the city spent millions and years and couldn’t do it.

One doesn’t have to like Mr. Trump to vote for him but I cannot understand how one can prefer a woman who has had no achievements of her own. A woman who failed to listen to calls from her Ambassador for more security. Who called his death and three other Americans the fault of a video while she told her daughter the truth about the Jihadist attack in Benghazi. A woman who had an email server in her basement so that emails with classified national security info that was hacked by a Russian called Guccifer. Look it up. A woman whose husband is an accused rapist but she threw all these women under the bus and called them bimbos. Her opponent called her a liar and yet Sanders caved because the Clintons are all powerful and totally corrupt.

Now everybody bitching about Melania’s speech cause she spoke platitudes and clichés. All I heard was that she loves America while all I remember about Michelle’s speech was that it was the first time she felt proud of her country.

After 9/11, Trump did all he could to help us get back on our feet. I wished he would run for mayor instead we got the nanny mayor Bloomberg. Sorry, my sister, you want him to lose while I dread the Clintons back in WH. Different strokes.

Michelle Obama Copied Alinsky in Speech Melania Trump Allegedly Plagiarized

    http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/07/19/melania-trump-plagiarism-hillary-biden-barack-michelle/

… Michelle Obama: “…the world as it should be.” In 2008, the aspiring First Lady was accused by bloggers of lifting lines for her DNC speech from Saul Alinsky. Alinsky wrote, in Rules for Radicals (emphasis added): “The standards of judgment must be rooted in the whys and wherefores of life as it is lived, the world as it is, not our wished-for fantasy of the world as it should be.” Michelle Obama said: “And Barack stood up that day, and he spoke words that have stayed with me ever since. He talked about ‘the world as it is‘ and ‘the world as it should be.’” (Perhaps Mr. Obama who left out the attribution.)

Pokémon Go ‘a nightmare’ for cloud security, experts say
    http://www.bizjournals.com/seattle/blog/techflash/2016/07/pok-mon-go-a-nightmare-for-cloud-security-experts.html

“As Pokemon Go relates to businesses and ‘bring your own device’, the risks will start to outweigh the rewards,” the Ponemon Institute’s Tom Bain said. “From the cybersecurity side, there are permissions that the game asks the device owner that could represent multiple problems, not to mention geo-based data that could indicate the location of unsuspecting individuals.”

So basically the game demonstrates what has been known from the beginning. Allowing employees to use personal equipment is a really bad idea that was driven by manufactures wanting to sell more consumer products.

And in a second and somewhat less smarmy reply, if those folks who drive new cars with OnStar or OnStar-like systems built in or load their smartphones down with unvetted apps care about privacy then why would they worry about Pokemon Go? Everything electronic out there these days collects and reports data for/to someone. Try and get your OnStar so completely disconnected so that it can’t be turned on from outside and listen to GM squeal like a stuck pig.
Data mining is power and the mined results are even more powerful and eminently salable. Just another step in making personal privacy obsolete and socially unacceptable.
