    Excellent article:

DH and I think Rudy Guiliani would be very good as Secretary of Homeland Security.

Fear and Loathing in Cleveland: Donald Trump Completes Nationalist Populist Takeover Of GOP At Republican National Convention

    http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/07/17/fear-loathing-cleveland-donald-trump-completes-nationalist-populist-takeover-gop-republican-national-convention/

The themes of the party’s convention this year—normally a coronation for a run-of-the-mill ordinary Republican—will be anything but ordinary. Over each day will loom a Trumpian-phrased theme, like Monday’s “Make America Safe Again” or Tuesday’s “Make America Work Again.” Wednesday will be “Make America First Again” day, and on Thursday Republicans will celebrate the goal to “Make America One Again.”

Outsiders like Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Dr. Ben Carson and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn will be heralded and celebrated here, while crony-type D.C. insiders like former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney—the failed 2012 GOP nominee—and failed 2008 GOP nominee Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) will be nowhere to be found.

Lobbyists aren’t welcome around the convention, and typical D.C. power-brokers are running as far away from Trump as possible. Trump, who has campaigned aggressively against these insiders, doesn’t want them here anyway. He even, just this week, called himself “so outside of the establishment” when he introduced his vice president.

I guess you have to let the Senate Leader and Speaker speak, but it sure would be nice if they were nowhere to be found as well.

I watched the 60 minutes interview and Trump was still Trump and unfortunately although the VP candidate could be worse, he was your typical politician speaking politician talk.

I watched 60 Minutes and thought both men were great. Pence was totally supportive of Trump, and crafted words well to “take the lumps out.” What more do you want from him? Their chemistry together was quite good, I thought.

He talked like a politician, I’m not knocking him as the pick could have been worse, but he’s a politician. It would have been nice to have had a non-politician as his running mate, but I knew that wasn’t going to happen.
However, I do think beside Trump it highlighted more that he was a politician.

I’ve had several people, young and old alike who are voting for Trump and his pick didn’t change their mind say much the same thing, you sure could tell he’s a longtime politician.

It’s been refreshing to me to listen to Trump because he’s not a politician and doesn’t speak politician and I’m going to kind of miss that in the general.

Those of us already on the Trump Train love that about him. Those still standing on the platform afraid to hop aboard are afraid precisely because since he’s not a politician how could he know how to govern? He’s said all along his VP would be a politician, because he knew he would have to appeal to those weak-kneed nervous nellies who couldn’t trust his businessman’s instincts and skills. A politician reassures those nellies that the knowing how to govern part is covered. Trump has to pivot a bit for general election to capture the Reagan dems and indies, so we’re going to see a smoothed out version of him for a few months. That doesn’t worry me at all! Once he’s in the Oval Office, I fully believe we will see our lion roar, with Pence covering his six. Historic times. Have faith, michellc. Trump has this, and he knows what he’s doing. I have never seen anyone navigate the turbulent waters of politics with such skill. I do believe God’s hand is upon him.

I haven’t lost faith in Trump and I believe he will run the show, which is why I haven’t been all that worried about VP candidate.
I found it funny when he was blunt and said Pence was part of the establishment. I know why he picked a politician, but in a perfect world he would not have had to.

Pence can’t help but come off as a politician because that is what he is.

Trump wanted someone to deal with congress. The VP is, after all, president of the Senate. Pence will get the job done if he remains loyal. Trump values loyalty.

Here in DOJ controlled Seattle, they tell us the police officers don’t know who’s a threat and who not, so law abiding citizens need to be fearful of police violence as well.
Outside of affirmative action placements, I haven’t met too many officers that can’t pick out a dirt bag within a few seconds of encountering them.

Baltimore Officer Acquitted of All Charges in Freddie Gray Trial
Prosecutors fail to secure conviction in fourth trial involving 2015 death of black man in a police van

    😀

BALTIMORE—A judge on Monday acquitted police Lt. Brian Rice of manslaughter and all other charges in the 2015 death of Freddie Gray , another defeat for prosecutors who have yet to secure a conviction after trying four of the six officers charged in the high-profile case.

I predict a 6 figure settlement for each officer when Mosby is sued for malicious prosecution. Still not Gray family money but it will be nice if they can start their lives over after this travesty of a prosecution is put behind them.
