Fort_Ticonderoga,_Ticonderoga,_NY

Siege of Fort Ticonderoga, July 6, 1777: After a bombardment by British artillery under General John Burgoyne, American forces retreat from Fort Ticonderoga, New York.

The uncontested surrender of Ticonderoga caused an uproar in the American public and in its military circles, as Ticonderoga was widely believed to be virtually impregnable, and a vital point of defense. General St. Clair and his superior, General Philip Schuyler, were vilified by Congress. Both were eventually exonerated in courts martial, but their careers were adversely affected. Schuyler had already lost his command to Horatio Gates by the time of the court martial, and St. Clair held no more field commands for the remainder of the war. (Wikipedia)

On FOX and FRIENDS this morning, Tony Sayah said that it could be that Comey realized that he couldn’t convince Lynch to go ahead with federal prosecution. So, he outlined what she had done and made it clear to the American public who would listen. The lawyers I heard yesterday said the FBI doesn’t charge anyone, they just give the AG the information and the AG makes the decision and it was pretty clear there was no chance she would charge.

The lawyers are correct that the FBI does not charge anyone that is not their role (neither should they recommend to prosecute or not to prosecute but heck what is a little horse and pony show when Hillary’s reign is at hand?). This is a case with national repercussions and Comey used a public forum to sway the public toward acceptance of the upcoming AG non-indictment. It was pure propaganda.

The FBI should not give an opinion as to whether or not an individual should or should not be prosecuted they should simply present their findings.

Comey had no obligation to speak to the public. This was a strictly political move poised to benefit Hillary.

Personally I believe that Comey was speaking with a gun to his head. Or a barbell to his throat. Or a train barreling down on him, or a needle in is arm, or from the seat of a plane with a faulty engine. Pick your own unfortunate ending.

Set aside that Comey the head of the FBI spontaneously created an intent clause in the law that does not exist, and Comey coupled that creation with the power of absolution. This is Soviet Union-esque in its departure from settled law and its obvious intent to benefit the guilty yet powerful figurehead.

Toss these convoluted illogical words that Comey spoke around in your head for a short while.

To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions. But that is not what we are deciding now.

As a result, although the Department of Justice makes final decisions on matters like this, we are expressing to Justice our view that no charges are appropriate in this case.

        In the first half of his presser, Comey was clear;

Hillary committed perjury (something that seems to being ignored by everyone) and she is guilty of gross negligence as she acted with “extreme carelessness” when handling government documents. << Those are the factual findings attached to Comey's words.

Comey invented an “intent clause”. He presented a factually evidentiary based case against Clinton and then fully absolved her. This was a warning directly from Clinton that she has the power, the will, the control and the lack of humanity to become our very own Pol Pot.

A little snippet about the FBI’s role an investigation.

Does the FBI work through U. S. Attorneys?

Yes. Although the FBI is responsible for investigating possible violations of federal law, the FBI does not give an opinion or decide if an individual will be prosecuted. The federal prosecutors employed by the Department of Justice or the U.S. Attorneys offices are responsible for making this decision and for conducting the prosecution of the case.

What does the FBI do with information and evidence gathered during an investigation?

If a possible violation of federal law under the jurisdiction of the FBI has occurred, the Bureau will conduct an investigation. The information and evidence gathered in the course of that investigation are then presented to the appropriate U.S. Attorney or Department of Justice official, who will determine whether or not prosecution or further action is warranted. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, evidence is either returned or retained for court.

I disagree. I agree he had no obligation to speak to the public. He could have quietly turned in his report to the AG and never spoken about it. But, what he said didn’t benefit Hillary. He laid out all the lies she stated and what the truth was. All these talking points that Hillary mouthpieces have been using are now able to be debunked with his words. He made it clear she should have been indicted. Trump is already using his words against Hillary.

I am a fairly straight forward thinker. I’d never make it in law enforcement, the covert operations, or reality tv. Nevertheless, here’s my penny’s worth.

The man had only two options with any integrity. Resign if you could not see this investigation through to it’s just conclusion. Or go on tv and tell the world he recommended an indictment. Come what may. Anything else can be spun any way you want it to, but he did not act with the justice and integrity that he should have in his position.

I agree that Comey made some uncomfortable pock marks on Hillary but it is nothing she can not weather. She refuses to do press conferences, she will go on a few select shows (maybe) before the election within a few days if it is not already happening the MSM will be spinning this in her favor and the low-fo voters will have no other interpretation other than Hillary was innocent and it was much ado about nothing.

Comey did make some devastating points about The Beast. Trump will benefit from those points and I believe Trump received more Bernie supporters into his fold because Comey reinforced all their fears they have about Hillary.

Honestly, I believe Comey barely scratched the surface of Hillary’s lies and unlawful behavior.

That said, IMO Comey spit in the face of every law abiding American and the best spin we can put on it is something along the line “Well at least he doesn’t have Aids.” I just can’t give him a nod for pointing out a clear case against Hillary and then prostrating himself before the throne of Clintondome.

Comey is compromised, he said what he thought he had to say for whatever reason and he is a man without integrity as far as I am concerned.

Comey stood there as acting FBI Director and said that Hillary is above the law and that makes me furious.

On the bright side I had a very nice day and didn’t think about this at all 🙂

Mom, that’s right, FBI investigates violations of Federal Law, provides/secures evidence. Then makes a recommendation to the AG. Comely did lay out “a road map” on Clinton lies concerning her emails. What about the Clinton Foundation? That’s the big nut, and hopefully Trumps’s AG will crack it. Also Obola can not issue a pardon to Hilllabeast. No indictment, no crime. Statue of Limitations………

Add (and then I am out the door to enjoy the day 🙂 ).

Hillary not only committed perjury she also is guilty of breaking the law under 18 U.S. Code § 1001 – Statements or entries generally which carries a fine and/or a prison sentence.

Martha Stewart and Ali Saleh Kahlah Al-Marri were imprisoned under this law.

It seems though the law does not apply to Hillary or even Omar Mateen’s wife for that matter.

Those who can’t are beaten with 40-oz bottles or duct taped to chairs and forced to watch non-stop Tyler Perry films.

        Body of Christ, save me.
        Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
        Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
        O Good Jesus, hear me.
        Within Thy wounds hide me.
Suffer me not to be separated from thee.
From the malignant enemy defend me.
In the hour of my death call me.
And bid me come unto Thee,
        That with all Thy saints,
        I may praise thee
        Forever and ever.
