FBI Director James Comey delivers statement

Fox News:

FBI Director James Comey announced Tuesday that despite evidence Hillary Clinton was “extremely careless” in her handling of classified emails on a private server, the Department of Justice would not recommend charges being brought against the former secretary of state.

“Our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case,” Comey said.

Clinton, the presumptive Democratic nominee, did not immediately respond.  Her Republican rival, Donald Trump, did — blasting the FBI’s recommendation.

“FBI director said Crooked Hillary compromised our national security. No charges. Wow! #RiggedSystem” he tweeted.

I have my own ideas, but what do you think? What happens next?

Well, I am disgusted. And, now, all the Dem mouthpieces will be on all the shows saying how they knew all along nothing would happen to her. She should not be allowed to handle classified info and that should bar her from being President.

My thoughts ? The Clintons control everything in DC by intimidation.

Mr. Comey explain your interpretation of this code and how Hillary did not break it through at the very least gross negligence?

    18 U.S. Code § 798 – Disclosure of classified information

Whoever knowingly and willfully communicates, furnishes, transmits, or otherwise makes available to an unauthorized person, or publishes, or uses in any manner prejudicial to the safety or interest of the United States or for the benefit of any foreign government to the detriment of the United States any classified information—

    (2) concerning the design, construction, use, maintenance, or repair of any device, apparatus, or appliance used or prepared or planned for use by the United States or any foreign government for cryptographic or communication intelligence purposes; or

    (3) concerning the communication intelligence activities of the United States or any foreign government; or

    (4) obtained by the processes of communication intelligence from the communications of any foreign government, knowing the same to have been obtained by such processes—

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.

Hillary broke the law. Comey knows it everyone with a lick of knowledge knows it. And yet Comey is afraid to give a proper recommendation to the AG. The world under Obama/Clinton would be no different than the World under Kim Jong-il.

I’ll repeat what I said on the General thread:

Certainly there is a core of Clintonistas – and other Dems who will vote for her in order to defeat Trump. Nothing to be done about that.

Nevertheless, there are Democrat voters who will see what she is, and move to Trump, or stay home, or vote for Gary Johnson. The fact that she is weakened, but stays in the race, could be a very good thing. A new Dem candidate is an unknown factor.

    Seen on FB:

In case you slept thru Comey’s history, a friend reminds me of some of it: ” I look at his involvement in Plamegate, in former N. IL USA, Patrick Fitzgerald’s (mentored by Comey, and godfather to at least one of his children) activities paving the way for Obama in Chicago by getting Rezko and Blago out of the way with no blowback on Obama, and, earlier, that episode when Ashcroft was in the hospital. Add to that one of Comey’s big promoters has been Chuck Schumer.”

I hate to say I told you so, but I did.

I listened and got ticked off although I wasn’t surprised, just ticked that they make it so obvious.

I wanted to throw something at him when he said they didn’t recommend prosecution and no prosecutor could successfully prosecute because there was no clear intent to break statutes(paraphrasing).
Years ago I was with my brother who got pulled over and received a speeding ticket, he thought just like I thought that the speed limit on this particular road was 45, the cop didn’t care about that though when he said he was wrong it was 35 and he was speeding. His exact words were, “it doesn’t matter if you did not intend to speed, ignorance is not a defense.”

I thought this quote was quite revealing:
“We do not see those things here. To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions, but that’s not what we’re deciding now,” Comey added. “As a result, although the Department of Justice makes final decisions on matters like this, we are expressing to Justice our view that no charges are appropriate in this case.”

IOW, if anybody else did this, they’d be in big trouble. But not Crooked Hillary. She’s special.

Comey did exactly what Gowdy did.

      He lied through his teeth.

      My interpretation on Comey’s words.

The FBI’s role is so narrowly defined by the minutia of the law, that the FBI respects the law so much that in their role it is impossible for them to recommend prosecution but the AG can get Hillary on things that the FBI cannot discuss 🙄.

It was classic “If only” pass the buck baloney. Gowdy was his blueprint.

So we settle for Comey saying Hillary is an incompetent goat who through gross negligence endangered the US. Inarguably Hilary broke the law to an extent that her crime makes her eligible for jail time, yet Comey indicates with a straight face there isn’t a single law within the FBI’s narrow purview which allows them to recommend an indictment.

      Basatge.

What shame to see so many pawn their soul to Satan.

Exactly. I was a Special Security Officer for a Joint command for givevyears, and a seperate SCIF for ten years. Yes she did break laws BUT the FBI msde the decision not to prosecute because the teisted the definitions completely out of shape – note the deafening silence from State also.
If a regular mortal had done what she did said mortal’s career would have ended and s/he’d most definately have faced prosecution. Just last night I was talking with a friend who’s a retired counter intelligence officer, he spent many years in his career chasing down people who spilled classified data. From his looking at the evidence against Hillary there’s not doubt in his military mind that he’d have arrested her and, had she been a regular person instead of tne Queen of Crime she’d hsve been tried and jailed.
This is no less than a blatant coup by the klepto-Left, and for her treasonous part she’ll get her place in history right up there with Lizzy Barthory and Ilse Koch. She will bathe in the blood of fireign and domestic subjects and while she probably won’t be making lamp shades out of our skin (she and Bill have already picked out furnishings for the trailer) she will surely make toilet paper out of the Constitution.

Ss he said: “When you’re a few years older Medicare won’t pay for these rests any more as they feel the expense versus when you’ll drop dead doesn’t justify the government spending the $$$$.
So I have to sit here, not having eaten anything since early last night, waiting for them to take mevin. They call me six times to remind me of the appointment, I’m there early…they get me in when they feel like it.

Not really, the usual staff ‘cocktail party’ perfunctory chatter is irritating but the techs are really good. I’ve had three of those colonoscopies. I was having some problems, so they ordered the first test, but it was just some pesky diverticulae. Then, at age whatever, you’re supposed to have them every 5-6 (?) years because, as I’m sure you know, colon cancer gives no warnings. Everyone hates them and everyone says the preparation is worse than the actual test, which I think is true. They keep messing with the day-before preparation ingredients and instructions, but I think the newer ones really are better. Having been through a major surgery, this test now isn’t such a big deal. It’s over so fast, and they don’t really knock you completely out. I’ve always worried about what I will say after they give me the Versed, or whatever it is they use. You might spill some secrets! I wonder what they do when someone who has serious classified information has to have a test like this, or surgery where they give you drugs that can have you chatting away. I would think they’d have to have a special team of medical personnel.

Many years ago, back when top secret clearances were limited and numbered, you could well have a onlooker making sure you didn’t spill any beans but after they just made them as widespread as, well, colonoscopies, things got pretty lax. I’m sure there are some agencies that still have a chaperone but after the Walker to Clinton episodes, why bother?

Comey stood there and described Clinton’s behavior as “extremely carless” and “actions a reasonable person would not take”, he stood there and explained Hillary’s behavior as grossly negligent under guidelines as defined by US law and then he said “Nothing to see here folks.”

Go to hell Comey, you are compromised.

It is very curious that Comey bolted immediately after his rendering of his fictitious opinion. He was slated to answer questions.

I think Comey realized as he was speaking just how much he compromised himself.

He said Hillary Clinton behaved extremely carelessly.

“Extremely carelessly” is simply a layman’s term for “Gross negligence” .

Oxford Law Dictionary defines Gross Negligence as
A high degree of negligence, manifested in behavior substantially worse than that be be expected of the average.

Hillary’s standard of “average” as Secretary of State is far higher than the standard set forth for Joe six-pack. Her standard would be what would another person in the same role reasonably do in the same situation.

“Extremely careless” AKA “Gross Negligence” AKA Criminal

Each President tries to influence the FBI, that’s why Congress made the director’s post sort of independent by making the term 10 years. Comey was appointed in 2013 by Obama.
He presided over the Bureau during the Fast and Furious investigation, serving under his boss who was the first sitting US Attorney General to be indicted for Contempt Of Congress – and what came of that? The FBI did diddly in tracing responsibility
He sat over the half-assed investigation oh how a major Mexican cartel could run a drug distribution syndicate in Chicago, relatively free from hinderance, that brought in more money a year than the Chicago Stock Exchange. A major drug operation using I-35 like they owned it and operated in Obama’s front yard while the FBI…did…what?
Now we Have Hillary, who along with Bill, have strings tying them to a major nationwide, years-long drug operation out of the state thry ruled, stepping into a position where they can line their pockets again with drug proceeds. Watch her pay back her supporters by pushing to bring Fed laws into Left Coast ‘smoke ’em if you gottem’ policy.
Now let’s see what the FBI’s going to do, more and more reports are coming out that onebof the fullymauto AKs used in the Paris attack was not only sold illegally by an Arizona gun dealer who illegally converted it to fully automatic but sold to the ATF as part of the Fast and Furious program. Seems ATF knew he was illegally doing it but withheld prosecution as he illegally provided them with illegal weapons to be used illegally.
Will the FBI whitewash this, if there’s even an incestigation, as they did Hillary? Have They become the GESTAPO in the ongoing national kleptarchy? Who will watch the watchers?
