Declaration-of-IndependenceThe 13 American colonies throw off British rule as Philadelphia’s Continental Congress announces a new nation made up of united states. The anniversary of this Declaration of Independence, ratified one year into the Revolutionary War, will continue to be celebrated in the US as Independence Day.

Microsoft’s Windows 10 nagware goes FULL SCREEN in final push
Meet the new BSoD – the Blue Screen of Despair

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/07/01/microsoft_gets_creepy_with_win10/

Pic As the Windows 10 free upgrade period draws to a close, Microsoft is stepping up its operating system’s nagware to full-screen takeovers.

The Redmond software giant confirmed today it will start showing dark blue screens urging people to install the latest version of Windows. The full-screen ads will pop up on Windows 7 and 8.1 desktops from now until July 30, when the free upgrade period ends.

    “Nagware” for sure.

I have Windows Update turned off for most workstations and servers. I run it manually a week or two late for the few systems that connect to the Internet. I like to read what others go through, before inflicting hours of frustration upon myself.

I had Win 10 on my laptop before my satellite went down. It had more errors than the DNC platform. If Windows were a car it would have been recalled years aho but we’ve become so inured to living with a buggy OS that its primary selling point is it isn’t as screwed up as it could be.
What does that say about us when we rush out to buy a new and heavily failted iteration just as the one we’re using has been rendered largely bug-free? On the other hand it bodes well for Hillary..

When we lived in NC we were at a Fourth of July celebration, a small town gathering and we heard the most beautiful rendition of God Bless the USA, my MIL and I were enjoying this pure voice sining out the tune when suddenly there was a slight crack in the voice. We were both surprised because it was so beautiful we were sure we were listening to a recording, we walked a bit further and sure enough a young woman was standing alone on a stage singing the song.

My MIL & I looked at each other and both started to cry.

      God bless the USA.

4 PM and folks were already starting to gather at the around two-acre field where the volunteer fire department will hold the fireworks display. Display won’t be until 8-ish but from 5 PM until the display there’s a gospel troup there, at least three hoursof gospel singing that you’revfree to join in on.
When the display starts the attendees will be sitting within about 50 feet of where they’re being set off, the debris will rain down on the cars and audience as the fireworks go off directly overhead. Not as big or expensive as we have in the city but then you wouldn’t have the gospel singing, you wouldn’t be allowed to bring your own food and drinks and you sure wouldn’t let your kids run around freely. In al, it’ OK.

When I was a child we had our own fireworks display, nothing fancy or huge or expensive, the best were the silver salutes 🙂, they echoed across the lake and made us cheer every time. I’ll never forget being allowed to light my first salute 😎.

We climbed trees, swam and ate hamburgers and hot dogs on Wonder buns before the PTB told us white bread would kill us all 😏.

On the lake front we shot bottle rockets out of Coke bottle we had drank earlier in the day, the kids had sparklers, red ladies and black snakes. The adults lit some larger fire works off once it was dark. Then the town did a small display which we watched from pontoon boats. Sometimes instead of watching from pontoons we would walk to town and watch the fireworks as we walked along the railroad tracks and then have ice cream in town.

              Such good memories.

Yeah, we’d bevover at the French-Canadian Club, they had a park area while the Polish Club was in the middle of a block of stores and apartments. Everyone would be drinking, sdults would be smashed, playing baseball or both. We had real fireworks plus the stuff the safety pukes hadn’t as yet outlawed – a few burned fingers but then that’s how you learned what not to do. Most Attendees were WWI orvWWIIvets, a few were both. Guess why that’s a reason I like it here, uncomplicated and basic.

Communist Rules for Revolution. Publication date of this clip: October 13, 1975 (original publication 1970). Scary, isn’t it?

In May of 1919 at Dusseldorf, Germany, the Allied Forces obtained a copy of the Communist Rules for Revolution. Fifty years later the Reds are still following these rules.
    A. Corrupt the young, get them away from religion, get them interested in sex. Make them superficial, destroy their ruggedness.
    B. Get control of all means of publicity thereby:
    1. Get the peoples minds off their government by focusing their attention on athletics, sexy books and plays and other trivialities.
    2. Divide the people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial matters of no importance.
    3. Destroy the peoples faith in their natural leaders by holding the latter up to contempt, ridicule and obloquy.
    4. Always preach true democracy, but seize power as ruthlessly as possible.
    5. By encouraging government extravagance, destroy its credit, produce fear of inflation with rising prices and general discontent.
    6. Foment unnecessary strikes in vital industries, encourage civil disorders and foster lenient and soft attitude on the part of government towards such disorders.
    7. By Specious argument, cause the breakdown of old moral virtues, honesty, sobriety, confidence, faith in the pledged word, ruggedness.
    C. Cause the registration of all firearms on some pretext, with a view toward confiscating them and leaving the population helpless.

As Far as MSM is Concerned, America Was a Mistake

    http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/07/04/as-far-as-msm-is-concerned-america-was-a-mistake/

Yes, you read that right: The headline of Matthews’ piece is “3 reasons the American Revolution was a mistake.”

To fully absorb that headline is to comprehend just how utterly the left end of the MSM disdains this country—but you already knew that.

Matthews makes three specific claims as to why the American Revolution was bad: First, Abolition would have come faster without independence; second, independence was bad for Native Americans; third, America would have a better system of government if we’d stuck with Britain.

Matthews makes no mention, of course, of any of America’s achievements, from the Transcontinental Railroad to the Brooklyn Bridge, from providing a prosperous and free haven to hundreds of millions, as well as ridding the the world of Hitler, from putting a man on the moon to feeding billions around the world.

The author of the Breitbart piece, Stephen K Bannon, has a very persuasive rebuttal. Good read.

I forced myself to read the slavery section, but would only skim the next two. It really is crap. If the guy honestly believes what he wrote, it’s all based upon the currently taught propaganda/history. Just a little reading of actual documents from the time period blows most of the assertions apart.

Liberals can never face reality, it is the same reason they claim again and again that communism has never failed it simply has never been properly implemented. They are disingenuous liars to their core, their minds are blinded by their agenda that they have to manipulate and contort reality to remain proponents of their ignorance.

I believe it is their soul which makes them such miserable people, their soul cries out for their mind to acknowledge concrete reality, but their minds demand that their emotions bend to the lie of their contorted biases.

I mean has anyone ever seen a happy liberal? Ever? They don’t exist. They are living a hellish existence where they must never accept truth as it is or the very foundation of their belief system crumbles.

I would put Mathews in this category of people.

    Giant spacecraft nears Jupiter

    http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/04/health/juno-jupiter/index.html

(CNN)It’s been speeding toward Jupiter for nearly five years. Now — can it slow down?
On Monday, NASA’s Juno spacecraft — a spinning, robotic probe as wide as a basketball court — will perform what the space agency calls a 35-minute long “suspenseful” maneuver that will allow it to be pulled into orbit around Jupiter.

Basically, mission managers will hit the brakes, and they’ll hit them hard.

They plan to fire Juno’s main engine for 35 minutes starting at 8:18 p.m. PT (11:19 p.m. ET). That should slow the spacecraft by about 1,212 miles per hour (542 meters per second) and allow it to be pulled into orbit around Jupiter.

“We are ready,” said Scott Bolton, the mission’s principal investigator. “The science team is incredibly excited to be arriving at Jupiter,” he said in a NASA press release. …
