The wife of the Orlando nightclub shooter knew of her husband’s deadly plans and did nothing to stop him, a federal law enforcement source confirmed to Fox News.

FBI agents have interviewed Omar Mateen’s wife, Noor Salman, in the days since Sunday’s massacre that killed 49 and wounded 53 more. Mateen died in a shootout with police early Sunday morning.

Salman said Mateen shared his plans with her to carry out an attack and Mateen may have even called her from the gay club Pulse during the slaughter, the source said. Salman also confirmed details of Mateen’s gun purchases prior to the assault.

A separate source told Fox News that Salman was cooperating with investigators and had shared information about her husband’s violent aspirations.

Of course, the source is not authorized to discuss the investigation, and spoke under terms of anonymity.

She needs to be tried and convicted, but I doubt that will happen. Trump said we need to go after the families because they know what is going on.

Noor Salman is guilty of aiding & abetting a crime.

Someone aids and abets a crime if he or she knows of the perpetrator’s unlawful purpose and he or she specifically intends to, and does in fact, aid, facilitate, promote, encourage, or instigate the perpetrator’s commission of that crime.

Noor gave him material comfort as she drove him to Pulse to survey it. The guns, ammunition and holster is also material aid so if she touched them she gave further material help to Mateen.

There is a reason that Noor is saying she tried to talk him out of it and it is called self-preservation. Noor is making the claim that she did not encourage Mateen, that she even tried to dissuade him, but she did assist him through her actions and her lack of action.

IMO Noor is still guilty of aiding and abetting and failure to report knowledge of a felony. Conspiracy to commit mass murder is a felony by the letter of the law and Noor is a co-conspirator because she aided and abetted Mateen.

Investigators say Orlando shooter sought out Islamic State propaganda, repeatedly visited Disney sites

    http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-orlando-nightclub-shooting-20160614-snap-story.html

As the probe into the Orlando nightclub shooting broadened Tuesday, with investigators ranging as far afield as Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia, survivors recounted the gunman – whose parents are Afghan immigrants – telling them he had gone on a killing spree because he “wanted America to stop bombing his country.”

Those developments emerged as investigators revealed that Omar Mateen, who killed 49 people Sunday in the worst mass shooting in modern American history, had increasingly sought out Islamic State videos and other radical Islamist propaganda in the months leading up to his murderous rampage. And FBI officials said he had made repeated visits to Disney properties in Florida and may have had assistance from his wife in organizing the attack on the Pulse nightclub.

Investigators are trying to retrace as much of Mateen’s final weeks and months as possible in an effort to understand his motivation.

Part of that involves collecting data from at least two cellphones used by Mateen, as well as other electronic media and email accounts, a U.S. law enforcement official said.

At a news conference Tuesday at Florida Hospital in Orlando, one survivor, Patience Carter, described cowering with two friends inside a handicapped bathroom stall at the club while Mateen stood nearby, chatting. Among other things, she said, he announced: “This is about my country.”

Mateen was born in New York to Afghan immigrants. Although he was a U.S. citizen, he appeared to be talking about Afghanistan.

“He said that the reason why he was doing this was he wanted America to stop bombing his country,” Carter said.

Federal prosecutors convene grand jury to investigate wife of Orlando massacre gunman, source says

Federal prosecutors have convened a grand jury to investigate the wife of the Orlando nightclub shooter, seeking to charge her as an accessory to 49 counts of murder and 53 counts of attempted murder as well as with failure to notify law enforcement about the pending terrorist attack and lying to federal agents, a federal law enforcement source confirmed Tuesday to FoxNews.com.

FBI agents have interviewed Omar Mateen’s wife, Noor Salman, in the days since Sunday’s massacre that killed 49 and wounded 53 more.

A federal law enforcement source additionally told Fox News that Salman knew of her husband’s deadly plans and did nothing to stop him.

Mateen died in a shootout with police early Sunday morning. While Salman has been widely referred to as Mateen’s wife, the only proof of their marriage is her listing as his wife on a 2013 mortgage document and family members who said the two were married and had a 3-year-old son.
