TED CRUZ CAMPAIGN ALL WASHED UP!

tedcruzdropsoutCNN

Ted Cruz bowed out of the Republican presidential race Tuesday following a crushing loss to Donald Trump in Indiana, clearing the path for the real estate mogul to clinch the GOP nomination.
It was a remarkable turn of events in a presidential primary race that seemed destined — just weeks ago — to end in a contested convention this summer. Even in the final hours of the race in the Hoosier State, Cruz insisted he was staying in the race until June 7 — going so far as to attack his rival during a news conference as a “pathological liar” unfit for the White House.
In the end, the growing strength of Trump’s candidacy and Cruz’s own stumbles in the past two weeks were too much for Cruz to overcome. The Cruz, Kasich and anti-Trump forces had concocted elaborate plans to try to deprive Trump of the 1,237 delegates he needs to win the nomination outright. But those plans hinged on money and momentum. After Tuesday night, it appeared that Cruz would have neither.
“We left it all on the field in Indiana. We gave it everything we’ve got but the voters chose another path,” Cruz said. “So with a heavy heart but with boundless optimism for the long-term future of our nation, we are suspending our campaign.”

On the CTH, I said I was going to bed early. I did not. It is 3:00 am here because I worked on my photos from my vacation, then decided to wait up to see early results. Indiana for Trump and Cruz is out! Very happy!

Ohkay… As a complete aside, I wonder if anyone will ever catch on that the socialist/progressive/left controls augments and conversations by creating nonsense words and their definitions. Then forces/tricks everyone to use their terminology. That is one reason it is so difficult to win a argument decisively with them.

Capitalism and Conservative are two terms invented by the left. I really wish our side would stop using them

I know they are all upset about the Rafael Cruz/National Enquirer controversy. Someone on FB said that Cruz is mentioned in the Warren Report. I’ll see if I can find some independent confirmation of that, because it’s interesting. Anyway, I don’t think that had anything to do, either way, with how the primaries played out.

The thing is – Trump is always publicly in control, and his opponents always underestimate him.

He can afford to be magnanimous now, and he will be. There is no point in stomping on a defeated opponent. If he did that, there would be no possibility for healing.

Been on twitter and lucianne.com tonight – the #NeverTrump crowd are bitter, bitter, bitter.

Yep, I went to a family friend’s little girl’s softball game and my DH called and told me Trump won and Cruz dropped out. I decided I would try to be gracious to family and old friends who were Cruz supporters.
But then I started getting rude and hateful texts and came home and read rude and hateful PMs on FB. Pretty much the same theme, I destroyed the Republican party and the country and pushed all the real conservatives out of the party. I guess I now will block the few I had not already blocked.

I did tell them all the same thing that I was going to be gracious to them, but since they were a$$holes, they could kiss my a$$.

So I did a quick check on a few sites and see they’re all being the same poor losers.

I see a few Cruz supporters who are reasonable, unfortunately though the majority are very bitter.
The Beck and/or Levin sect of the Cruz supporters are really bitter, God is punishing us and the world as we knew it is over. After the past 8 years I hope they’re right that world is over. πŸ™‚

I think Beck might be slightly catatonic he wrote a very reasonable piece about this evening events (for a Cruz supporter, and especially for Beck).

              I was pleasantly shocked.

His fans are still being nutty. This stuff about God punishing us you’d think they’d say that about Obama, but I guess they think Trump is worse than Obama.
It’s a good thing his fan base has dwindled a lot!

My Grandpa(Poppa) always had a saying, “you better darn make sure it’s God giving you that feeling in your gut and not last night’s supper or you’re going to have worse than mud on your face.”

Michellc has it right, it is subjectively very reasonable after all he did announce he might be suicidal if Trump won, so it is very reasonable for Beck, nothing has changed he is still a nut, as are the other Cruz zealots. I expected something of a primal scream from Beck so I thought he did well in writing a “We must bide our time a little longer in the desert fellow zealots.” post. Perhaps my bar for him is set too low.

  9. This election has been one of the most fascinating events of my life. The stamina and determination Mr. Trump has shown is entirely encouraging.

I went to Redstate for a few minutes tonight. I am still perplexed and probably always will be how two groups of Christians can look at the same political candidates and have such opposite reactions. I hope they will come around, even if it takes a year or two into Trump’s first term.

I hope Mr. Cruz disappears into obscurity, although I believe he might make an excellent Willy Loman in some small town’s production of ‘Death of a Salesman’.

I think that if he had the money to continue, Cruz would have kept on. I believe it was his big money backers who twisted his arm, and you could see the RNC making nice earlier today too (that guy on Scarborough’s show this morning; can’t think of his name).

What dope would be willing to go against Trump at the convention though?

It would be political suicide and that person would never ever win another election. Ryan likes sleeping on a cot in his office and bathing in the boys room too much to give it all up to please the PTB just to try and destroy Trump’s chances. Romney? Pfft…….

I agree if there is a way the RNC will stop Trump but to use the words of the always over reaching self proclaimed smartest man in the room “That door has been foreclosed.” πŸ˜€

I will be praying for Trumps safety.

The 5 Stages of Political Death by Donald Trump

    http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/05/03/5-stages-political-death-trump/

But don’t expect to see any test tubes and microscopes. Politicos use public opinion, focus groups, conventional wisdom, and statistical analysis in their laboratory.

Donald Trump and his campaign has not only never entered the political laboratory β€” he’s burned it to the ground.

What is evident however is that a pattern has developed in the manner in which Donald Trump has dispatched his opponents β€” in the case of Jeb Bush, with nothing more than an adjective. One by one, his 16 opponents in the quest for the GOP nomination have vanished.

Each of these opponents was unique in their interactions with Trump over the course of the campaign. But in examining these interactions and how they have been portrayed in the media and evaluated by the court of public opinion, Trump’s opponents have met their demise to what I call: β€œ The 5 Stages of Political Death by Trump.”

    Here are the stages: ….
