Kind of looks like my hair since menopause and going gray. I used to have lots of curls, now I just have a mop of straw.

Mine used to be straight, and now it is wavy.
LikeLiked by 2 people
I wouldn’t mind straight so much is it would just not look like that picture right above us. All I can do is use a straightening rod on it, then it lays down. Takes a long time though. I’m always tempted to cut it off, and have several times since it started looking like a haystack. Shorter is definitely worse. Can’t do anything with it.

I agree with you there.

Have you tried coloring your hair? It seemed to make a difference to mine. Also, mine was also wavy/curly and I lost all the curl a while back when my thyroid got out of whack. When I got it straightened out my hair went back pretty much to normal, except for the curl.

I color my hair (permanent). It doesn’t help (mine is almost completely white on top).

Farmers Markets are coming soon for us northerners 🙂

Just look out for those sneaky ‘farmer’ truck venders. We had a fewcthat plied the bent-nose neighborhoods with farm-fresh produce. Got to know a few who worked by places where I did details, my being there helped lowrr their chances of getting robbed. Turns out many of them bought their stuff at the same wholesalers the grocers did, they just put it in homey baskets, put a little straw around their displays and viola, the sucker shoppers ate it up. Now we have Whole Foods.

Our farmer’s market is pretty strictly regulated. Everything has to be grown locally (in Wisconsin) and no re-selling is allowed. If you get caught you get tossed out and can’t come back. I know one of the main enforcers and he takes it very seriously. He is a big lib and takes it personally that someone would try and corrupt “his” market.
We have a lot of Hmong farmers who start their crops early and people have gone out to their farms so that they can prove that they really already have produce. They bring without a doubt the most beautiful flowers that I have ever seen.
We once had a verbal brawl because some poor guy who was selling farm fresh meat and some loon was insisting that he prove that none of the animals ever ate any GMO products. She was shrieking <<< probably too kind of a word 🙉. Thankfully she was asked to leave and said we could all go to hell because she was never coming back to our "Poison Market" again.
I think it is a good market and I've gotten to know some of the vendors which is really nice.
Lot's bakery (one amish woman who is probably the only terrible Amish baker in the world 😕 also sells her baked goods.
It's fun because i see a lot of people that maybe I haven't seen over the winter and we can sit in the grass by the river with fresh cheese, fruit tea, icees and just enjoy the the morning.

My staples from the market, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes both red and baking, cheese, dips, backed goods, chap stick, minions, broccoli, baked goods as in cranberry walnut bread, and plants for growing.

Sounds interesting Lovely, If I was in the wholesale produce business, the “Strip District” in Pittsburgh in the place to go. There are retail shops, everything from seafood, meats, fresh vegetables, and breads.

Don’t forget sweet corn and beautiful lettuces. Also honey, strawberries, raspberries, peaches and apples.

My daughter’s on the board of the farmer’s market in Oak Park, IL. They do allow farmers from Michigan, I know, but they are strict about what they allow at their market too.
The GMO thing is out of control. Ridiculous, if you ask me.

Ahhh, Hmong, had the privilege to work with Cham Hmong many years ago, begore the US turned tail, ran from VN and allowed Vietnamese and Russians to spend years slaughtering the Hmong. Bet You’re seeing some veggies they grow that aren’t regularly seen in the bg-box stores.
Our urban ones are well-controlled too, usually the same sellers each time. It’s the truck vendors selling on the streets that are questionable. Even then they serve the crowd that isn’t all that keen on mixing with the Great Unwashed shoppers, so they do serve a purpose or two.

I think of them as more of a leek. Very versatile little veggie. Can add them to just about anything. Some call them ‘spring onions’.

Well the progressive and proactive state of New York is on top,of this violence thing, providing for the collective safety. The state legislsture is, st this very minute, oreparing a bill thst would declare the machete a dangerous weapon and outlaw its sale, ownership,or possession. Tske THAT potential Islamic machete wielders who cannot get theirvhands on explosives or guns due to the diligence of NY legislstors!
Then again, what will they do if rhere’s ever a flood of Rwandan refugees who declare it part of their ciltural heritage to carry a machete?

I’ve never seen rich, snooty looking women at the grocery store.
I was though once in a bridal store with my niece and asked a lady I thought worked there if a particular dress could be altered, she got really angry and asked me, “do I look like I work here?” She made sure to touch her diamond necklace with her hand sporting a huge diamond ring. I didn’t like her attitude for my honest mistake, so I replied, “I’m sorry my mistake, but I would think someone wearing rocks around their neck and on their hand wouldn’t be shopping in a bridal store.” She huffed and stormed out.

Good evening WeeWeed! I love this and just might do it. I was chatting with a snooty liberal little wench whose parents have enough money that she only works until she gets bored or decides some foreign part of the world would be a better place if she were to grace them with her presence.
We were walking past a dicey looking bar and she said something like “Oh that is supposed to be the biggest dive in Waukesha. Really shady. Have you ever been in there.”
🙄Me; “No I haven’t even noticed it before, how do you know so much about it, are you a regular? ” My friend who was with us said he almost broke his toes curling them so hard not to laugh.

Now I’m gonna go see if I can figure it out by watching YouTube.

I’m painting the living room from hell. I’m wore flat out. I’ll show a picture tomorrow of the one damwall I’ve got done if I don’t kill DH and have to go in for questioning. I paint very carefully, precisely, and don’t sling paint either from brushes or rollers. HE does not give a rat’s that it MIGHT get on the carpet or furniture.
I hate taping crap off. Especially plantation shutters.

Hey, I’ve done that many times. Only I’m the one doing the slinging. My ex was a great painter and had done it professionally for a while. He tapes e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. He could empty out the local Home Depot of tape to do a room. I hated taping, but I thought it was fun to pull it off. 🙂

I was having trouble with my blood pressure. My Doctor said to really cut down on the sodium. He started rambling off things I should not eat. He mentioned ham and I interrupted him and said ” but Doc, ham is a food group and I always try to eat from the food groups.” He just stared at me for a couple of seconds and then started to laugh his butt off. He pulled out one of his old prescription pads and started writing. He handed it to me and it said “eat ham twice a month.” I really do like my doctor, even though we have gotten into some very heated exchanges.
