Sort of apropos, A UN tribunal convicted Radovan Karadik of murdering 8000 Moslems outside of Srebrenica during the Serbian conflict. Appears the penalt for murdering 8000 Moslems is a 40-year sentence it still beats the UN’s sentence for Moslems murdering others…but I digress.
Problem is this helps move forward the UN’s stated agenda of being able to independently bring US military personnel and politicians to trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity. The POtuS has already given Interpol an office in DC and diplomatic status so can the UN issuing an international warrant on a US soldier/pol and Interpol independently serving it be far behind?

I didn’t read the Enquirer article but if it is solely drawn from the creative and malicious mind of its author the headline alone is actionable. No doubt, million dollar slam dunk libel suit. Also I haven’t had time yet but I heard it is the same writer who who first outed John Edwards and Tiger Wood.
I’ll see what I can find out about the author and I’ll read the article.

Wikipedia has a far greater number of regulars than most sites, Stella.
And the whole cadre is infested with SJWs.
Vox Day is fixing to “fork” Wikipedia. That is to say, make a new one, using it as a foundation for code and content, but without SJWs and their reality-erasing tendencies.
Open Source Software is cool like that. You can take it and “fork” it, by making it your own, and take it in a new direction. Toward truth, in this case, instead of toward Orwell’s Memory Hole. It’s going to be yooge.

Strike IOTWR off the list, BFH now has a post up.
Do you remember the in-law I wrote about who said Trump wasn’t Christian because he had been married 3 times, although she herself had been married 3 times?
My daughter said she was having this shared on her timeline and she is hopping mad blaming Trump for smearing this Christian man. Lashing out at everyone who is sharing it with her. Someone reminded her of John Edwards and told her she shouldn’t be so quick to deny it. She said if it was true it didn’t change the fact he was a Christian man and we needed him to bring God back into this country. That we shouldn’t hold the past against Christian men and got mad when she was told he’s only been a Senator for 3 years, so it can’t be too far in the past. She said God would forgive him and was asked if God wouldn’t forgive Trump. She said she then made a post that she was not logging on to FB for awhile because she was really hurt with all the attacks by people she thought cared about her.

Please pray for Father Uzhunnalil who has been kidnapped by ISIS. Rumors are that he will be crucified today. The nuns who Fr. Uzhunnalil is associated with said that they have no credible information that a crucifixion is eminent.
I would like to add that there are many people being held by Islam’s devils that the world is not talking about because people involved with them, family, friends, organizations are told that the more well known a hostage is, the more likely the devil’s of Islam will exploit that fame and the more likely your loved one or associate is to be publicly beheaded.
Currently there are Vincentians being held by the devil’s of Islam, I know this for a fact, the rest is sketchy but they took entire families.
Please pray for Fr. Uzhunnalil, the Vincentians and all of the people captured and imprisoned by the savages.

Just before the Crazy Times. That must have been amazing, Stella.
I spent ten years working as a foot messenger in downtown Boston. I knew every alley, lobby, nook, cranny, and crosswalk. The Big Dig had just got rolling. I knew how to cross Boston in a straight line through buildings. Blocked traffic without a care, because I owned Congress Street, then Milk Street, because I was pushing an office chair and five cases of legal-size copier paper down the middle of the street, and they’ll take an insurance hit if they run me over.
A young girl bike messenger got completely run over by a straight-truck one day.
Every courier in town, foot or bike, was silent and morose that week.

Good morning! It’s a chilly Friday, and the rain is gone (at least until Sunday, when it will be a warm day). A day like today makes me feel as if Spring will never get here, even though I know that’s not true.
I hope you all have a Happy Easter, celebrated as is your custom, with family and/or friends. There is always something to appreciate and savor in the world around us, in our memories, in our thoughts.
Just last night I was reminded that life rolls on. The widow of a cousin just remarried, a month before her 73rd birthday! She looks lovely and very happy in her wedding photo, surrounded by their children and grandchildren. Bless her and her new husband! May they enjoy many years together with their blended family.
Spring! Tight buds unfolding from winter’s frosty hand
Turning to the sun’s warm glowing,
Touched by its magic wand.
The hope of buds and leaves tightly wrapped
With promise of trailing green,
Bright pink and white and yellow light
All waiting there, serene.
Spring, resurrection time again!
My heart was like that bud,
When God drew me with warming glow
To turn to Him.
He bid me open up my heart,
And hope was born within.
See how the promise of His love
Is bringing forth, through Him!

Funny the sequence of things in different parts of the country. Our grass is pretty green now, but no trees have budded. We get the forsythia first, then bulb plants, then the flowering trees, then the trees leaf out, and then the lilac (May) and lily of the valley, and finally the peonies at the beginning of June, along with the climbing roses.

Somali families began resettling here in large numbers at the turn of the century, and their children have become fixtures in St. Cloud’s schools. About 1,625 of the district’s English-learners are Somali. And as educators in the St. Cloud district have found, language is often just the first hurdle they encounter when new immigrant communities arrive.

Oh, journalists. Leaving aside your usual fawning groveling for Muslim rapefugees, that’s going to be your favorite phrase now, isn’t it? Wow, you people sure did learn a lot from George Orwell’s instruction manuals.
Muslims have been settling (*bad if Jew or European, but good if otherwise, because Leftist double standards) in Minnesota since “the turn of the century”, which means “a long, long time ago, basically forever” in the American mind. Invokes images of stagecoaches and telegraph.
Journalists, I’ll never call you unintelligent. Y’all are devious, indeed. Your audience is mostly stupid, though, and props to you for both exploiting that flaw and for doing your part to maintain it.

History repeats itself. Thinking about it on Good Friday.
Introduction to the Dark Ages
The Dark Ages is a term often used synonymously with the Middle Ages. It refers to the period of time between the fall of the Roman Empire and the beginning of the Italian Renaissance and the Age of Discovery. Many textbooks list the Dark Ages as extending from 500-1500 CE, although it should be noted these are approximations.
Is this the start of The New Dark Ages?

I believe the Dark Ages ended as the Bible started being translated into layman’s languages, and people could read it for themselves.
This revolutionary act caused the Enlightenment, and the flourishing of science.

I note that the narrator of the video still uses the passive voice when describing the end of the Roman Empire. It just fell. Like a souffle. Or a cake.
No, it was Muslims, coupled with internal corruption on a grand scale. It didn’t just accidentally fall down in the bathtub.
I note that narrators and video producers and writers have always used the same exact passive voice when describing how 10 million Jews just “up and died” during the Holocaust. No, you journalist devils, they were murdered by German citizens in thrall to a charismatic dictator. Stop lying. Stop sugar-coating with passive voice.

Mostly Security when traveling throughout the Empire. Then the Northmen started raiding and people fled in too the country side for security. The Viking rain of terror lasted till 1066, when defeated at Samford Bridge, by the last English King, Harold Goodwinson, who was killed within a few weeks at the Battle of Hasting. Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (J.W.’s) moved a single comma in their bible, changing theology with a simple comma.
“Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in Paradise”
vs.
“Truly I tell you today, you will be with Me in Paradise”
People wonder why I’m so obsessive about accuracy in translation.
Because it’s pretty important.

I’m not sure if I can go from the chaos that I know and work in, to a whole different chaos.
So I’m still working for current bossman. Next week it’s a concrete saw and jackhammer, to build a drainage system in a basement whose only drainage is at street level. Fun! You can’t have a basement prep-and-catering kitchen with no drains.

We can carve the floor, dig the trenches in it. We can plumb, build the PVC drainage. The relevant agencies then inspect.
This ain’t Illinois. Then again, Stella, you’re over by Detroit, so it may vary by county.
In Chicago, three different unions have to be called to replace an electric water pump.
Only one if you want to unplug an extension cord.
Here, we build our own stuff, no matter electrical or plumbing or structural, the State (or County or Municipality) inspects, and makes judgement on our work, which we change accordingly. How it should be.

I think it varies by city over here, probably in line with some county bureaucracy. You’re right, of course, as long as it’s inspected. I think they are more worried about the permit fees than the safety, anyway. When I moved into my house, I called the city inspector because I didn’t have a chimney liner, and I thought I was supposed to have one with my particular furnace. Well. It seems the previous homeowner’s “contractor” installed the furnace without a permit. It was probably the homeowner himself, with help from his brother-in-law. The inspector was not happy. And, yes, I was supposed to have a chimney liner, which I finally had installed a couple of years ago, along with a chimney cap. Then when I had the new furnace installed the following year (after the great sewer backup), I upgraded, and my furnace no longer exhausts through the chimney, but through the wall of my house. My water heater still does, though.

Memory is a strange, and fickle thing.
You’re right. And I studied these folks’ work for five or so years.
I had a buddy I hung out with for about two months.
I met him in a mental hospital, where he had been placed by JW for the purpose of recruiting people with Severe Depression, like me. Like fish in a barrel, right? SO I played chess with him after my two-week stint there, listening to Classical music, and he kept bringing over his Watchtower-printed books, and I kept talking with him, and asking him all the wrong questions. (The right questions. I was Saved years prior.)
His elders forbade him from speaking with me after two months, and he wouldn’t answer his door or his phone. This was before cell phones, in the time of Beepers.
So I amassed this collection of Watchtower books that would stand 5 feet tall,
So I studied ’em. Like I would study McCaffrey’s Pern or Tolkein’s Lord of the RIngs. It’s good to study bulls**t, as well as truth.

She started to quit talking to old friends and family and eventually shut everyone out except her children and grandchildren. I always wondered why, so maybe she was told to?
I’ve always thought it for JW it would be extremely sad when they lose their loved ones.

My mother ran into a grammar school friend that had become one. So when I was about 4 or 5 all holidays and birthdays just stopped. While in public school I had to go to the library whenever there was a class party. No sports, no friends. Wake up, go to school, come home, straight to isolation. I was not allowed to interact with other children.
Four hours of Church on Sunday, Two hours on Thursday and a hour+ long guided group bible study on Tuesdays. Public speaking and lecturer giving are expected by 5 or 7 years old. Door to door missionary work for 6 hours on Saturday. I think I was just used as bait for the dogs not on a chain.

I feel sorry for the life of that boy as well, but he’s the better man of the two.
He says much the same as you that it doesn’t matter anymore, that he learned at an early age he couldn’t earn her love, so he never knew how to miss what he never knew. The whole premise (whether factual or not is not being argued in my post) behind the Jehovah’s Witnesses was the same as the reformation. The Catholic church was run by greedy men, and the reformations didn’t go far enough. Jehovah’s Witnesses sent their own trusted people to retranslate and correct mistakes from as many original sources as possible. So unless a person can read ancient Greek themselves (and even then, there are arguments of interpretation) it’s difficult to know which is accurate.
Jehovah’s Witnesses are another attempt to model after the early Christian church prior to Rome’s influence. There have been quite a few over time. Even during the reformation.

Not a good Friday for Haji Imam, he’s down and o-u-t. We’re being treated to a propaganda campaign, having the SecDef himself cone out and hoohaa his demise.
I’m not saying Haji’s passing is of no merit but I do believe the media parade about his death is largely an Administration campaign to ease the publics’ fears after the Belgium attacks. I see Ashton Carter giving the conference instead of Obama to, IMHO, put more emphasis on the message than the messenger. It ain’t like the POtuS to pass up a shot at self aggrandizement, claiming personal credit for the work and risks of others.
I find it interesting that the raid was a deep one, well behind enemy lines, instead of a precision drone strike. No doubt the possibility of gathering intel from the #2’s treasure trove in what was thought to be a secure area heavily figured in as did snatching a prisoner or two, but this smacks to me of Spetznas technique, operations to disrupt (assassinate) top political figures deep behind enemy lines in ‘safe’ areas. Also makes me wonder if we managed to sneak past Russian defenses or did they assist us in some way. Lotta stuff to consider there.
I don’t see Haji’s death as a huge body blow to ISIS, they know that their leadership is prone to a drone at anytime, happens regularly, so they don’t put all of their yeggs in one basket. Also, we look at ISIS through a personal prism, in our worlds we live in a hierarchal structure, the office boss goes toes up and there’s confusion until someone restores order. ISIS is united through doctrine and I’d argue that makes them less susceptible to problems through individual losses of leadership than a Western field army would be. I’m sure that an ISIS true believer will quickly slide into the ‘two’ slot just as someone will the ‘three’ slot the new ‘two’ will vacate, all the way down the line.
Only way to put them down is boots on the ground occupying dirt, their dirt. They have no ground to base on they can’t maneuver, they cease to exist as a cohesive field fighting force. This has been the basis of war since day one and, despite the flailings of new doctrinaires, will remain so for the foreseeable future. Boots on ground killing or capturing ISIS fighters, equipment and occupying their bases and denying them the ability to act as a fighting force.
One down, a whole shiiteload to go.

Ted Cruz ‘Affair’ Rumors Peddled by Marco Rubio’s Allies
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/03/25/ted-cruz-affair-rumors-peddled-by-marco-rubio-s-allies.html
The truth behind the rumor-mongering, however, is a little more complex. A half-dozen GOP operatives and media figures tell The Daily Beast that Cruz’s opponents have been pushing charges of adultery for at least six months now—and that allies of former GOP presidential hopeful Marco Rubio were involved in spreading the smears.
For months and months, anti-Cruz operatives have pitched a variety of #CruzSexScandal stories to a host of prominent national publications, according to Republican operatives and media figures. The New York Times, The Washington Post, Bloomberg News, Politico, and ABC News—reporters at all those outlets heard some version of the Cruz-is-cheating story. None of them decided to run with rumors. Those publications’ representatives all declined to provide on-the-record comments when The Daily Beast reached out for this article.
Breitbart News, the notoriously Trump-friendly conservative outlet, was also pitched the story of Cruz’s extramarital affairs, according to a source close to the publication. That source said an operative allied with Marco Rubio—but not associated with his official campaign—showed the publication a compilation video of Cruz and a woman other than his wife coming out of the Capitol Grille restaurant and a hotel on Tuesdays and Thursdays. But the outlet opted not to report on the video, which demonstrated no direct evidence of an affair.

Good question.
I either missed this during the Ashley Madison name release or blew it off and forgot about it because at that time I thought Cruz was a different man than the man Cruz has shown during this campaign.
In light of this story though and the rumors going around about prostitutes including a porn star/prostitute, it’s kind of interesting now.
Besides Duggar, reports show that emails linked to congressional offices, Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz’s office, White House officials and the armed forces were also used to sign up for accounts.

–Bernie supporters throwing rocks at Trump supporters

BUT…nobody else is responsible for anything. The KKK endorses Clinton…she doesn’t even have to respond
Those emails could have come from anybody
Bernie is not responsible for his supporters doing anything
Nobody is responsible for anything Beck says…nor does Cruz disavow his endorsement. Cruz doesn’t have to answer for anything…he is anointed by GOD…Cruz is always the victim of somebody else. That’s some great presidential material right there….NOT

Here is yahoos explanation(I edited):
Cruz is struggling not to use the word “f” while calling Trump and Stone “ratf.”
The term for a sleazy political operative is popular enough that the following Wikipedia definition appears when you Google it:
Ratf is an American slang term for political sabotage or dirty tricks. It was first brought to public attention by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein in their book All the President’s Men.
It’s unlikely that the term was created with Stone in mind, but it is true that Stone worked for the Committee to Re-Elect the President, a pro-President Nixon group that, “All the President’s Men” told us, was accused of sabotage and dirty tricks.
With his remarks Friday, Cruz doubled down on the insult by saying Trump is not only a rat, but a rat well below Cruz’s own sexual standards.

I get the rat you know what now, but using it in those terms I still don’t get the below sexual standard part.

But the other explanation doesn’t seem to make sense, at least to me if you’re going to say he’s sleazy and dirty then why make the sleazy and dirty statement that he’s beneath you to have sex with?
Maybe men can understand better than women? Maybe we’re old? Maybe we can’t understand sleaze talk?

Maybe because we are female?

I’ll read the statement to my husband, he’s old like me and see if he gets it.

Ah, yes, then we will know if it is age or sex that keeps us from knowing, or maybe it is just a STUPID idiotic statment.

My DH says he guesses he’s old because to him a rat is a rodent and he guesses he’s calling Trump a rat he doesn’t want to have sex with.
I told him he was a man, he was supposed to get it and he said he never ran in any circles where they talked about copulating or not copulating with rats. lol
When I gave him the explanation he said he guesses he’s saying Trump is too dirty for even him to want to copulate with.

LOL Ok, I think it is just something stupid he came up with.

I haven’t been paying attention to the latest news again. I’ve heard it used before, but not for a long time. It was just a disparaging name with a curse word in it for emphasis. We don’t really have very many flowery curse names in English (regardless of the length of George Carlin’s dirty word list, it’s repetitive). It sounds like Cruz was trying to be witty and not only failed, but confused everyone in the process by implying a euphemism rather than just calling Trump “a bad man”.

Okay, here you go. It won’t get past moderation and I don’t want to post it anyway. But this explains it, although I think it is stupid. 🙄

It’s not the sort of thing discussed in our social circles – not even on the internet. Makes me wonder where Ted heard it – him being such a holy person and all.

Those were my demise in Boston, shortly after turning 21.
I was into live funk bands, like Chucklehead, and that was My drink.
My drink got me woken up by bouncers, passed out, in the lobby more than once.
No more Long Islands for me.

If you read the comment sections all over there are rumors of a certain little person porn star/prostitute that Cruz supposedly copulated with that will probably have even Bill surprised.
These darn politicians make me learn about things I’d just as soon to have never known about.

Here I thought cigars and blue dresses was the worst I’d ever have to learn about from a politician.

So that’s what a candy wrapper is?
I read on her wikipedia page she left the porn movie industry due to men not wanting to wear condoms.
Now I guess I know what a lollipop is as well.
I’m starting to feel really dirty.

OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! I know what the secret was about the woman that Trump pulled up to the front at his press conference at the Post Office. She is on, or was on, Say Yes to the Dress. I had recorded the series and was watching it tonight, and it is her. This is the episode.
