Well I think Nyet has been hoping for some help with breakfast duties people here are pretty rough on him. You should have seen the complaint cards about the booze during the 12 days of Christmas ๐ Which not to be a whiner but Grand Marnier was never, ever, not once served. Next year I’m going to ask for Drambuie ๐
Nah, no one would let Ted in their boat even if it was just a dingy. Or they’d knock him n the water with an oar before they got 3 feet from the dock because he wouldn’t tsp that grating pontificating.
Wee, you still on dry land, I hope? Hang in there, it can’t rain forever. Okay, I guess it can, which is why we have the whole rain forest thing.
You just don’t do places with regular weather patterns, huh? From drought to monsoons, that’s Wee. Please don’t move off somewhere they have blizzards.
We’re OK so far – still raining and it will continue another 4″ through tomorrow…. but it’s supposed to slow down this afternoon with a chance of scattered Godzilla. ๐ฏ
Glad to hear you are okay. I hope you stay that way, and all I can do is pray for the victims of the storms. We always struggle with what to say in such times, as words are so inadequate when people face adversity. Looking forward to better times for you Louisiana people, Wee.
We got lucky and all the heavy rain moved South of us yesterday, so we got a break in the rain for a day. It’s not done with us yet though according to the weather folks, tomorrow there’s supposed to be heavy rain all day.
I am about to go eat a breakfast like that. Off week on healthy eating. If y’all get notice of my obituary this week, just assume I died with a smile and bacon grease on my lips, ‘kay?
My daughter told me something funny yesterday. Some university did a study on the nutritional value of eggs. They had eggs from the farmer with free range chickens who never feeds his chickens, the farmer with free range chickens who feeds organic feed, the farmer who has cooped up chickens and diet consists of regular feed and last store bought eggs from typical laying house hens. I could have saved them the trouble and the money, which was probably our money anyway. So, before she got to the results I told her I could number them without a study.
1. Most nutritional are the eggs from chickens who eat only insects, worms, grass and whatever else they can find to eat and a chicken will eat anything.
2. Free range chickens, organic feed has nothing to do with it, but being able to eat insects, worms, etc. is the key.
3. Cooped up chickens.
4. Last is the laying house eggs because they never eat bugs and such.
I was correct and didn’t need to spend a dime. She said the comments on the story was people asking what the non-fed chickens eat and when it was answered for them they said they wouldn’t want to eat those eggs. lol
Technically I guess laying house eggs would be vegetarian as they are either fed scratch grains or laying pellets or laying crumbles which is still just grains with added vitamins and minerals.
I never really thought about it before but I guess worms and insects are meat so my chickens aren’t vegetarians, plus chickens are cannibals if another chicken dies they will eat it if you don’t dispose of it. I’ve honestly never seen anything a chicken won’t eat, my kids used to feed them a variety of things including meat.
My chickens and guineas have always done a horrible job of controlling ticks and fleas.
That could be because I have too much land for them to cover and many animals.
As soon as this rain ends it’s that time of year again to spray and put out sulfur because we’re already getting ticks on us.
Sobering note so early in the morning…the black humor in the title serves to highlight that 2015 was the โworst year in modern history for Christian persecution.โ And 2016 is barely begun:
Important point from the article:
“The difference between Muslim and non-Muslim persecution (e.g., communist) of Christians is that the latter is often rooted in a particular regime. Conversely, Muslim persecution of Christians is perennial, existential, and far transcends this or that regime or ruler. It is part and parcel of the history, doctrines, and socio-political makeup of Islamโhence its tenacity; hence its ubiquity.”
Thank you, Menagerie. Did you see all three of his comments? I responded to the first one, but the third one said “kill you”. I didn’t respond to that one–yet. Undecided.
Did I post the article about how IS is heavily into training child soldiers? I put it on twitter, but if I forgot to put it here, I will do that.
Proverbs 22:6 is so true: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
I pity those children; and pray that the knowledge of God is presented to them one way or another. Otherwise, they will know nothing else other than the evil of Islam.
I could post the tweet and all its replies here, but that might take up too much space and bandwidth. You COULD follow me for a few minutes and take a look. I won’t mind if you unfollow afterwards! I promise not to follow back (if you don’t want followers, and if it’s obvious “who” you are on twitter).
“You” in this case can be all inclusive, including the reader. Yes, it can be considered a verbal threat. Realistic threat is unknown. Immediate threat is dubious.
I just have to laugh. I’ve had a lot of these social media accounts for years as place holders, but I’ve got under 50 tweets. I was stunned when I saw some of you guys have hundreds of thousands of tweets.
I don’t have quite that many–yet!–but do know that it is mostly because I send out articles multiple times, to batches of people. I do not chat that much, trust me. And I believe that RTs count in the total (of which I have tons), although am not sure if likes count as well.
Thank to all of you for your prayers. My daughter is back in the US with lots of wonderful stories and memories of her vista to Europe. thank you, thank you !
Hi, everybody! Today is another “debate” day for the Republican candidates. I really wish they would stop with these media feeding frenzies. At least this one is five days before the election, giving a bit of recovery time before the votes in some very important states: Florida, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri and North Carolina. I understand there is one more in the Northern Marianas Islands (9 delegates), as well as one TODAY in the U.S. Virgin Islands (9 delegates). I think they fall into the same category as Puerto Rico – don’t vote in the general election. On Saturday, March 12, there are two other primaries; District of Columbia (19 delegates) and Guam (9 delegates).
This political season seems to grind on and on. The big discussion today is whether or not Rubio will suspend his campaign prior to the Florida primary (and others) on March 15. We’ll see!
Political language… is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind. George Orwell
I am never going to have anything more to do with politics or politicians. When this war is over I shall confine myself entirely to writing and painting. Winston Churchill
I’m ready for it all to be over myself, I’m sick of debates, there have been way too many of them. I wish we could just have one day, everyone goes and votes and we have our nominee.
I’m also sick of politicians insulting us. Cruz has jumped on the voter insult wagon now.
โListen, Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice. Where we are beating him is when votersโ get more engaged and they get more informed. When they inform themselves, they realize his record. Heโs what theyโre angry at. He is the corruption, and if you want someone to stand up to Washington, the only one who has been doing so in this race is me.โ
โListen, Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice.
1) Cruz being ignorant and arogant enough to think that he can convince me and other Trump voters that we are low-information voters just goes to show that Cruz is a foolish self centered egotistic dull clown. 2) Something I have despised about Cruz all along is that he thinks he can shame people into voting for him. Really a despicable human being.
Some of those voters he is insulting helped him become a Senator. I bet he didn’t think they were low information, not engaged or angry then.
The truth is because people are not low information and are engaged and yes angry, he got that one right, is why they support Trump and not Cruz. You don’t have to be very engaged or very informed to see Trump’s warts, they’ve been magnified for everyone’s view. However, only those informed and engaged can see his warts because he and everyone try to hide them very well.
Sundance is the only one I know of who has put his warts under a microscope and most of America has never heard of him or CTH.
Author and political columnist Michelle Malkin told PJM she would choose real-estate mogul Donald Trump over Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) because Trump is surrounding himself with particular people she trusts.
Malkin was asked which candidate she thinks is the strongest on immigration issues:
โUnfortunately, Marco Rubio has been the worst. Now, unfortunately in an oversaturated 24/7 sound bite media culture you get coverage of these issues thatโs half of a centimeter deep, so all you hear about is the โGang of 8โ amnesty and you get the sense that all we are talking about is allowing 11-30 million people to come out of the shadows โ thatโs not what it is all about. Itโs not nearly about giving these blank passes to people that are here illegally,โ she said during an interview at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
Trump Butler: “Incredibly Generous,” “Just A Nice Man”
Former Trump butler Tony Senecal defended Donald Trump in an interview with CNN’s Carol Costello this morning.
“He’s an incredibly generous person. He’s been generous to his employees. He’s generous to strangers. He’s an entirely a nice guy. He’s not the gruff person that people make him out to be. Sure, you attack him, he’s going to fight back. But most of the time he’s just a nice man. I lasted with him for 20 years, he had to be pretty good,” Senecal said.
Senecal defended Trump as a patriot who wants what is best for the country.
“His interest in the American people. His patriotism. The man was born on Flag Day. He’s a very patriotic person — ahem, excuse me — and he wants what’s best for this country,” he told CNN.
It just came to me. The elephant just stands there.
The wasps (Islam) and hornets (BLM… I mean, watch a yellowjacket, and how it moves, even Cassius Clay referenced this, in speech as well as action), they do damage.
Painting steel trusses for the bossman. A whole lot of them. Cleaning them first isn’t too hard, with a bag of rags and a bucket of soapy water.
The part I had to refuse:
Um. I’m on a 4×8 rolling scaffold, 5 1/2 feet in the air (not as high as that pic, but still…) There is no railing. When I’m cleaning them — and they are filthy, and support a roof above a former drop ceiling since 1980 — it’s not too dangerous. I can just grab the trusses anywhere to keep myself from breaking my skull, while scrubbing with the other hand. I started painting the first two 20′ sections this morning with a tiny mini roller, then I realized: I also need a brush, because there are sections that I can’t get with the roller. ..and I can’t hold on to the trusses, because I just painted them… I got about 2 feet of the truss painted, mostly, before I climbed down and decided I’m not risking my life for ten dollars an hour.
Tomorrow I’m going to look and see if I can rent a railing attachment which hopefully fits onto the top of this scaffold. I feel like I’m doing tree work with no ropes.
Told the bossman’s henchman (love them both), uh-uh. Either a railing or go hire a pro company. One dishwasher/somewhat-handyman: can he do it?
Do you know what happens when you one-part epoxy paint a painted floor, after properly cleaning and prepping it, and the boss tells you to ignore the 24-hour “curing” time on the instructions, and go ahead, 8 hours later, and roll on the urethane-fortified acrylic clear coat?
Big 12-inch bubbles form. Because epoxy makes a gas as it cures. With this clear-coat, if the epoxy is still curing, the gas has to go DOWN. Now I have to scrape every gigantic bubble, re-prep, repaint, and re-coat. All at his expense.
I wish he would listen more often. He does, sometimes.
I’m sure she does. Poor Helen. I have a friend like that – she’s smart and actually quite nice, but she’s homely. She looks kind of like the woman who played the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz. And her poor daughter looks a lot like her mother. The daughter had a perfect SAT score, attended MIT and got her Masters at a university in Pennsylvania. I hear she has a good job in Silicon Valley. Her dad was brilliant too, but a strange nerdy kind of guy.
And look what happened to him. She outlasted all of them, way on back! Apparently aging hippies don’t die. Either they OD young, or their body developers immunity to everything. All those drugs must react and form some kind of super immune system.

Make sure there is a carriage return before and after the address. Also make sure there are no extra characters following the actual picture name. The “?w=816” needs to be deleted. The picture file ends with “.jpg”, but it could end with “gif”, “bmp”, “png”. There are other endings/formats, but these are the ones WordPress seems to understand.

Proverbs 22:6 is so true: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

We’ll see!

Two things about Cruz and his
โListen, Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice.

Malkin to PJM: I Would Pick Trump Over Rubio

So. My crazy job.
SMH @ my life.

And look what happened to him. She outlasted all of them, way on back! Apparently aging hippies don’t die. Either they OD young, or their body developers immunity to everything. All those drugs must react and form some kind of super immune system.

Just think. The E.U. could have been named after Cher if they had just chosen her instead of some Phoenician princess.

Aus, (please do not answer this) how many lines of nose candy did you snort, in your life? How much random copulation? How many other pills and LSD?
Think about it. Keith is what smart people would call an “anomaly”.
He’s been kept alive. For a reason.

Alice Cooper and Dave Mustaine, lead singer of Megadeth got themselves Washed in the River and thus Born Again.
I wonder if Keith did, too. Because it looks like he at least glimpses truth.
Glimpsing truth is what I call a “sign”. Especially lately.

Truly blind people don’t even glimpse light. Not at all.
That’s most people I know.
Speaking truth to most people I know is akin to speaking Chinese to them.

A (very) favorite of mine, since it was released.
Jamming to this on any instrument, including your voice, is refreshing.

If I could play a clarinet, I would jam to this one on it.
Accordion? Sure.
One of these? Absolutely!
Yes, they cost a lot.
So does a nykelharpa.
