March 8, 2016 Primaries – Discussion

Go VoteToday we have primaries in four states:

Hawaii caucus, 19 delegates, open to all Hawaii voters with photo i.d., who fill out a Republican Party card at the door. If you want to understand the method for delegate awards, it is explained here:

Idaho primary, 32 delegates [23 at-large, 6 congressional district, 3 automatic], candidate must have at least 20% of the vote to earn delegates, closed. Excellent explanation of Idaho (and other) primary process.

Michigan primary, 59 delegates, candidate must have at least 15% of the vote to earn delegates. If a candidate earns more than 50% of the votes, he earns all of the delegates. Michigan is an open primary; your choice of party ballot takes place on primary day, but only one party may be voted.

Mississippi primary, 40 delegates, candidate must have at least 15% of the vote to earn delegates.  There’s not a threshold in the congressional districts and if a candidate gets over 50 percent of the vote in a district, he or she gets all the delegates from that district. Open.

Real Clear Politics has a good summary of the Republican Party primaries/caucuses: RCP Republican Primaries.

Remember when Ronnie fired all the air traffic controllers, almost immediately upon taking office?

The Donald knows more about firing people.

To even begin ever fixing the wrongs, after the border and illegals that is, is to clean house and get rid of all these federal employees who have been working behind the scenes.

My Dad had this friend years ago who bought a struggling business, he told the story of how he came in with plans to just let a few bad apples go but after about two days he figured out they were all bad apples and handed out pink slips to every single one.

Well I think a businessman would find all rotten apples if he ran the government like a business.

    I didn’t vote today.

Why? Trump didn’t need my little kick.

He was already screaming into the goal here, and I knew that months ago.

Besides, I had work to do.

I didn’t vote for Romney, first time ever not voting, in 2012, because I always knew he didn’t want to win, and also because I always knew that “the fix was in”, again.

I didn’t vote for Trump today because I knew he would win Michigan.

    There was no question.

Anyone wanna start a giant papier mache Hitler=Trump company?

I’m game. Hit me up. I’m a good worker.

We need to get in on this game early. Don’t waste valuable research with needless delay.

We could be selling cool tchotchkes to Dem dupes and making millions, and soon!

Why do these dopey reporters who probably graduated at the bottom of their class and took only the basics to graduate always think that they can stump Trump, a graduate of Wharton School of Finance, the head of a billion dollar conglomerate, with questions on finance?

Today was a good day. I think I persuaded my brother about Trump. He used to be “Trump isn’t a conservative,” but I think I got through today. We’ll see.

Unfortunately, he’s already voted early in Arizona for Cruz. Baby steps, I guess.
