Leaked Mitt Romney Speech

trump_romney_2134567Mitt Romney’s speech, scheduled at 11:30 am today, has been leaked, according to the Associated Press, via MSN:

Romney, who was soundly defeated by President Barack Obama in his 2012 re-election, joins a growing chorus of anxious Republican leaders that many Trump supporters see as establishment figures.

“Here’s what I know: Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud,” Romney said in the text of a speech set for delivery later Thursday.

Romney says a Trump nomination at the party’s convention in July would enable Democrat Hillary Clinton to win the presidency, according to excerpts of his speech obtained by The Associated Press.

Romney also said Trump “has neither the temperament nor the judgment to be president.”

From the leaked speech, via The Guardian, excerpted here:

Here’s what I know: Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud. His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University. He’s playing the American public for suckers: he gets a free ride to the White House and all we get is a lousy hat. ….

The president of the United States has long been the leader of the free world,” Romney’s remarks say. “The president and, yes, the nominees of the country’s great parties help define America to billions of people. All of them bear the responsibility of being an example for our children and grandchildren. ….

Trump relishes any poll that reflects what he thinks of himself, but polls are also saying that he will lose to Hillary Clinton.

    I’m listening to Romney. This is unprecedented. He is lying and attacking Trump. Amazing stuff. Romney is standing up there lying like a filthy pig while he attacks Trump’s character.

    I love the last question, that they absolutely must have answered;
    “AFTER you win, are you going to be able to go, hat in hand, begging for forgiveness, wasting everyone’s valuable time, flying to the centers of power of corrupt, minor politicians and take their advice and guidance on how to be the president?”

    But I understand that they think the way things are is just fine.

    I’d be interested in knowing what happened to that billion dollars he raised, because I never saw any Mittens ads, or appearances of any sort for about 2 months before the election in 2012. I’d also be interested in knowing how much money he’s making for “emailing” everyone’s begging letters (really – from Carson, Cruz, Kasich, the rnc and more – go to the bottom and see where they came from.)

    Payback time for Mittens to the donors that gave to HIM.

      Well after listening to him sounding exactly like Harry Reid, I have to ask would he have been any better than Obama?

      I made that argument a lot when I called folks trying to convince them to vote for him, begged them not to stay home. I even argued to them and myself that he could surprise us be more conservative than we think(thought).
      My only saving grace is that I didn’t do it for him, I did it for the country, but now I want my hours and hours back, because listening to him today I see his no different.

    I’m just so amazed at how out of touch the RNC is. We should take bets. I say Trump goes up 5 points after Romney comes out and attacks Trump and praises Islam. It is a losing battle you are engaged in Romney. What a wretched person Romney is, the whole RNC is in the death throes they are acting stupidly.

      Look how genuinely happy Trump is to be supporting his friend, and I think he thought Mitt and a bunch of other people were more friend than mere acquaintances. How sad to trust in people and find out it really was about your money. They all loved and admired Trump’s ideas and maybe even encouraged him to run but turned on him when they realized he would go solo. No control or even input from Party Gurus. His campaign. His way. His money. Nobody to answer to accept the American People. What a concept!! Now they all be haters. Haters gonna hate. Lovers gonna love and we LOVE Trump. We LOVE AMERICA. God save the Queen, Lady Liberty.

    I think I just realized what just happened with Romney’s speech. I think the RNC realizes Trump’s nomination is a done deal. They have read the tea leaves, consulted with their voter fraud possibilities and Trump is going to have the delegates. It is over.

    So before it is a contest between Hillary and Trump, they are going to throw out a few things like this to give Hillary video to play in the general election. Then the big boys like Romney can still “support the party” in the general election but their support will be mitigated by their lies and previous denouncements.

    The problem Romney and crew have is that they are irrelevant when it comes to Trump voters. They have been revealed again and again, and they are the con men, the liars, the hypocrites, the thieves, the self anointed this is the dying gasps of swine.

    Mitt Romney’s former campaign chairman (?) Katy Packer was on Fox News saying that Romney would have come forward sooner to tell Americans what a terrible person Trump is if Romney knew that the American people weren’t going to figure it out for themselves. She didn’t use the word stupid but she implied that Trump supporters are stupid uniformed ignorant people who Romney was just trying to educate.

    Lies Katy Packer told;

    Trump inherited 200 million dollars from his dad and Trump squandered most of that.

    Trump did not disavow the KKK and David Duke and most people don’t even know that!

    There were more lies but I am not that fast of a typer.
