That is why any efforts to quarantine and contain the Trump Train fail. That is why personal attacks on his personality, his business record and his many failings do not take root. Instead, it serves to cause his support base to double down and heightens the anger and sense of injustice and desire for retribution.

        Makes sense.

I think it’s also a bit of the underdog effect — Trump, despite being a multi-billionaire, is the letimotif for the downtrodden and Americans abused by their betters in Washington. With all his flaws, he is *our* Donald and our best chance for draining the swamps in DC.

Fits well, definitely. It is a good description of a “leaderless leader” movement, and may be what a lot of people are feeling and why attaching to Trump, no matter what he has done in the past.
It also appears they do not give him the credit that he deserves for his true leadership abilities. Romney calling him “phony”. Rubio calling him a “conman”. Even the article above doesn’t really give him any credit and the two comments there are anti Trump in seeing how this man MUST be stopped because he doesn’t have a clue and is sure to be disastrous.
His record shows, although past “failures”, someone who gets back up, learns, and then does better next time. As he gains experience and knowledge, his views change. He has built and managed a enormous enterprise. His children are bright, articulate and successful, and the hope is they will do even better than himself. He is, in my opinion, more QUALIFIED then anyone else in the race.
In watching his campaign, he has changed the game and has so far, pushed the right buttons, even though he has been “finished” at every turn. I personally believe his numbers and voting are better than what is reported, and he is gaining momentum, but the pedal has to stay on the floor.
One would have to believe he knows the plans that are coming, and that he is prepared, that is my hope.

That ol’ bag will croak – I’m a little worried who she’ll select as VP, as that may be the intentional “pick” all along. Someone even more unelectable than SHE is.

I have a very dear friend who owns more tinfoil hats than I do who thinks that’s the plan. She’ll then either die or resign due to health or criminal issues.

This dear friend has been telling me for about 12 years the Pukes and Rats all work together. She’s thrilled this year that a large number of people now see this, she’s just hoping the next step will be them grabbing up their guns, shovels and pitchforks and run them all out, including those who hide in the shadows.

Most think she’s a crackpot because she lives right off a major highway and she made her husband and sons build her a billboard it says, “Voting ain’t working! It’s time for a Revolution!” I love her to death.

Speaking of stuff non-political, there’s a movie that just came out today in Denmark that we’re waiting to see. “Flaskepost fra P”. It’s the third in a series of crime/thriller we like.

Nyet, do you happen to know the name of this movie. I have been looking for it forever. This is all the information I have, it is a story about a gypsy family, (travelers) the family finds a young man on the road and take him along with them, the young man was possibly a petty thief and he is mute, the young man’s name is Kaspar or Caspar, and he and a daughter from the family fall in love. It is a foreign language film with English subtitles.

        It is not Kaspar Hauser.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

I asked this over at CTH but will ask here, too (I try to not duplicate here from there and vice versa.)

With Mitt speaking tonite, I have a question. Has he always been so girly as he seems this latest media cycle? I mean, I understand he is going to seem softer now that we have been dosed with ‘real man’ Donald Trump but I just don’t remember him seeming so……well, gay….literally. What does Trump know; the, “Mitt walks like a penguin,” remark? Trump never says anything unless has meaning.

Did Mitt “come out” and I missed it?

I felt vindicated when his son came out and stated what I believed all along.

He didn’t want to win. He was just pretending to run. Just playing a role. Taking a dive. As it were. I believe McCain was too, four years earlier.

        http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/12/mitt-romney-didnt-want-to-be-president-son-claims/

He and McCain both said “Obama would make a FREAKIN GRRRRREAT President.”

        Super Enthusiasm Mode ON!

A whole lot more than one would expect from people running against Obama.

I had to take a goat to the vet and while waiting I really had to bite my tongue. I managed, but only because my daughter kept pleading with me to not go off. 🙂

An elderly man, one who said he spent 22 years in the military was talking to the receptionist about how scary Trump was.
He made absolutely zero sense in his argument. He didn’t want Trump elected because he feared he would get us into war. He was against Iraq and Afghanistan because it only made the terrorists stronger and we don’t need someone else who wants to fight a war in the middle east.
Then he went off on how smart Romney was and how he had just listened to him and he warned everyone Trump was a con and a failure and a mole. Romney was a self made millionaire, Trump inherited all of his money. We either need Rubio or Romney as President. He hoped for a broken convention.
Trump had not served in the military and the President should serve in the military, because those that don’t do not understand war and always get us into a war.

I could have ripped all of his nonsense to shreds as all of you could have done.

But, I respected my daughter’s wishes and figure it would have been a lost cause for someone who obviously wasn’t informed enough to even know that the men he wanted had not served in the military.

He finished his conversation by saying Trump voters were too stupid to see they were being conned.

I said to my daughter loud enough where I know he heard it because of the way he turned and looked, “we’re stupid and are falling for a con, but I guess people who are fine with screwing the voters and believe Romney, who never went after Obama are the smart ones.”

    Rubio’s philosophy on winning;

If American Pharaoh didn’t run so fast in the Kentucky Derby, Firing Line would have won the race!

If Roger Federer had taken up soccer, Novak Djokovic or Rafael Nadal would hold the men’s Grand Slam record in tennis!

This Potential Supreme Court Nominee Is Family to House Speaker Paul Ryan

The fight over President Obama’s eventual Supreme Court nominee could get personal for Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.

One of names being floated as a possible pick is someone who Ryan calls family: D.C. District Court Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. Connected by marriage, Jackson’s husband, Patrick Jackson, is the twin brother of Ryan’s brother-in-law William Jackson.

Ryan even testified on Brown’s behalf when she was nominated to the district court in 2012, offering his “unequivocal” endorsement of her qualifications in recommending her for the bench.

“Our politics may differ, but my praise for Ketanji’s intellect, for her character, for her integrity is unequivocal,” Ryan said at her December 2012 nomination hearing. “She’s an amazing person, and I favorably recommend her consideration.”
