Based on what we’re seeing now, I don’t think Cruz will see the general election, much less the electoral college. Rubio should also be under scrutiny.

I don’t think he will either, I just don’t understand his argument. In Chicago his argument was he wasn’t served and now his argument is that it’s settled law, but even if it isn’t the time to argue that is after he’s been elected and then let the House decide if he’s eligible and if not then they can elect a President.
In my view it makes it sound as if he’s not so convinced it’s as settled as he says it his.
I, for one want it to become settled law one way or the other in regards to both of them.
I don’t know if it’s true or not but there is something I see a lot of people saying now that a Saudi prince was born to an American mother, so if Cruz is eligible he is eligible. Something like that scares me.
We also all know we have thousands, possibly millions of “anchor babies” now.
This needs to be addressed now, because chances are it will come up again.

Kids continue giving us grey hairs even after they’re grown. Something else I’ve came to understand and now kind of feel bad for telling my mother she did her job so she could worrying about me now because I was a big girl who could take care of myself.
I always thought once I had them grown I could stop worrying, but now I think I worry more and have more people to worry about. lol

My son went to Cancun a few years back for spring break, we had a long chat with him re the “what ifs” and how to act in situations. It wasn’t in part for him when he was there, it was getting back and forth of the travel and his security of his ID’s that concerned us the most. I didn’t sleep much that week but before we knew it he was back safe.

Mexico is an iffy country, and always has been – sometimes more, sometimes less. I’ve been there twice on vacation (Acapulco) and loved it, but that was a long time ago. I do remember the first time we traveled there. It was in the late 1970’s, and there were armed soldiers in full view on the beaches.

Yes once off the resorts anything can happen. One incident was when his group was walking back from party one guy decided (even tho being warned to “hold it” til they got back) to relieve himself in the bushes. Suddenly a “policeman” appeared and threatened to arrest him for lewdness but was well compensated/bribed not to by the others in the group and let them go.

Stella, I lived in Scotland for about 10 years and it is much safer than England. The Scots don’t put up with a lot of BS and they protect their women folk. I felt very safe there and loved it. Glasgow can be a bit iffy, but it’s mean bloody Scots! Edinburgh is the most wonderful place I have ever been to! We lived in Rosyth which is about 20 miles to the north, across the Forth river. The highlands are even more safe. Traveling up the East coast from Edinburgh through all the villages is magic!

Will send a prayer as well. Glad she has a good travelling companion. If they venture into any bar/party scenes, have them keep a close eye on their drinks. My daughter had hers spiked while in In Israel. Not good.

I make an omelet with onions and cheese and add avocado……..and a little salsa on top. I love it. You should definitely give it a try if you like avocados.

Yeah, I started out like that, too. But, I ordered a Jevos Rancheros one time that had avocado and salsa on it and, as they say, the rest is history. Hey, I wouldn’t even touch an avocado. Heck it thought it was just a color. Then somebody tried to make me eat that green dip. I finally tried it. So much for not liking quacamole. I can’t get enough now.

I’ve tried tomatoes in omelets, peppers and salsa, just didn’t like any of it.
My preferred is ham, onion and cheese, but will eat sausage and/or bacon as well. Just not a fan of veggies in my omelet. lol
I used to hate avocado with the exception of as a dip, but then I tried it on tacos and liked it and I always add it to tortilla soup.

Even if the bacon IS inside the omelet, it doesn’t count. I like mine crisp and unwrapped.

Morning, everybody! I went to bed early last night because I finally couldn’t hold out after staying up all night on Monday and all day on Tuesday.
The caucus results were about as expected for Trump. The second place result is more interesting, don’t you thing? Beck is a poopy head and a sore loser. Eventually, he and a bunch of other sore losers will have to face reality, and I think that will be soon. I know my own state is solidly in the Trump camp.
We are getting a significant winter storm today (5-8 inches of snow), but the temps are hovering around freezing, so I think the snow will be wet and heavy. It’s just starting now. We haven’t had much of wintery weather this year, so I guess I can’t complain (wouldn’t do any good, anyway).

My son was on one of the Navy ships off the coast of Africa patrolling for pirates a few years ago. I wasn’t sure what he was doing, so I was very nervous about it. Their ship was involved in only a few attacks/rescues, but one was very dangerous. The other problem I worried about was that he was one of the two “rescue swimmers”. If anybody fell overboard or got into trouble in the water, they would (in my mind) toss him overboard to rescue them. Actually, they lowered him, they didn’t throw him 🙄 . And, the stories about swimming in the shark infested waters, while setting up a perimeter to ward off sharks 😯 put me over the edge. I had to avoid the news as much as I could while he was over there. {sigh}
