After 35 years of marriage, a husband and wife came for counseling. When asked what the problem was, the wife went into a tirade listing every problem they had ever had in the years they had been married. On and on and on: neglect, lack of intimacy, emptiness, loneliness, feeling unloved and unlovable, an entire laundry list of unmet needs she had endured.

Finally, after allowing this for a sufficient length of time, the therapist got up, walked around the desk and after asking the wife to stand, he embraced and kissed her long and passionately as her husband watched – with a raised eyebrow. The woman shut up and quietly sat down as though in a daze.

The therapist turned to the husband and said, “This is what your wife needs at least 3 times a week. Can you do this?”

“Well, I can drop her off here on Mondays and Wednesdays, but on Fridays, I fish.”

I don’t know if anybody remembers the woman who lost her bakery, Natalie’s Cakes, in the Ferguson riots. She has a Go Fund Me page, and I donated a few bucks to her at the time. She just sent out an update and Thank You! to those of us who helped her out. Nice to hear something good for a change:

Mornin’ Stellars, my son and I just had a discussion on this topic recently. Yes, when you put it this way I can go with taking from the tall lad and giving to the wee lad, tugging on the heartstrings. But when it sweat and toil, blood shed, wars fought, ideas advanced, something that is earned with a great effort, then no.
Propaganda. It is also apparent in all the newer kids movies being released nowadays, that there is always an agenda attached to the film. Subtle attacks from everywhere, even towards our children.

It’s been that way for a long time, and started before films. Most of Charles Dickens work support the socialist view that capitalistic greedy rich people are bad. I can’t watch the 1951 classic ‘Scrooge’ at all now that I understand what I’m looking at.

    • These attacks are anything but subtil anymore.

They are only that to the low-info people, the MSM-brainwashed for generations.

In the 80’s my 8th grade math teacher (not “maths”, you Euros… it’s “math”… and as an aside — it’s “aluminum”, you haughty, yet somehow overtaken and subjugated Brits) showed us the animated “Animal Farm”.

I wonder today where Miss Woods is. White gal in a school that was more than 50% black, both in both student and staff populations, and near 100% school board.

I never realized what truth, and therefore conservatism, really was in that hell of a school. Not until Rush Limbaugh and every major East coast city’s biggest newspaper columnists sold me truth when I was 20, living and working in downtown Boston.

My take on that image, derk: Who owns these three people? I mean, who is in charge of handing out crates?

The image is an analogy. You could label them, left to right, “White”, “Latino”, “Black”.

You could label them “Straight”, “Gay”, “Trans”. or “Joooooooo!”, “Christian”, “Muslim”.

Their only message is class warfare.

What they really want to label that image as, boiled down, “Righteous”, “Somewhat”, and “Wants to Sin like Satan and Still Have It All.”

The image bothers me for many reasons. Another:

Vector graphics. Unless you’ve Parkinson’s or are otherwise disabled, you should learn to draw a curve yourself. We don’t need to go back to mid-sixties print ads. It looks like crap, made with child-scissors.

The little guy is Bill Clinton.

Jeff Epstein is in the middle.

I don’t know who tall guy is, but maybe Ayers, or his harridan wife.

Because Mr. Clinton has a fence he needs to be able to see over, too (for Justice), they go together with who knows who, to Epstein Island.

Never mind the rights of the girls they’re using.

Back in the old days that these same people hate, the little kid would not have to have someone take the crate from the tall kid and give it to him, the big kid would have been taught morals and would have freely given it to the short kid.

The same as when a neighbor needed help, we didn’t need the government to take what we had worked for and give it to our neighbor, on our own free will if a neighbor’s barn burned down, we all came together and helped them rebuild their barn and not because it was asked of us, but because it was the right thing to do.

No Adobe Vector Graphics were used in the production of this ‘toon.

      Thanks for posting these, Nyet!

For almost ten years, I read five newspapers a day. Four, if you don’t count USA Today. Mostly for the editorial/letters page, also for the comics and crosswords.

As a concierge/doorman/loading-dock attendant in a Boston condo, you get bored. And when you have a free daily Globe, Herald, NYT, USA Today, and WSJ, you read. Thank GOD.

      Remember Robotman?

Breathed took a long break, too.

Maybe we can get Breathed to do an intervention and do a Lazarus on Gary Larson.

Scalia’s Medical Condition – He suffered from multiple serious medical conditions

    http://m.apnews.com/ap/db_289563/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=n5x46MTL

DALLAS (AP) – Antonin Scalia suffered from coronary artery disease, obesity and diabetes, among other ailments that probably contributed to the justice’s sudden death, according to a letter from the Supreme Court’s doctor.

Presidio County District Attorney Rod Ponton cited the letter Tuesday when he told The Associated Press there was nothing suspicious about the Feb. 13 death of the 79-year-old jurist. He said the long list of health problems made an autopsy unnecessary.

Ponton had a copy of the letter from Rear Adm. Brian P. Monahan, the attending physician for members of Congress and the Supreme Court. The letter was to Presidio County Judge Cinderela Guevara, who conducted a death inquiry by phone and certified Scalia’s death.

The letter dated Feb. 16 said Scalia’s many “significant medical conditions led to his death,” Ponton said.

In the letter, Monahan listed more than a half-dozen ailments, including sleep apnea, degenerative joint disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and high blood pressure. Scalia also was a smoker, the letter said. ….

Dr. Mark Hlatky, professor of cardiovascular medicine at Stanford University, said a 79-year-old man with those conditions, especially coronary artery disease and sleep apnea, would be at risk for a potentially fatal heart arrhythmia.

“A lot of people do die in their sleep, and they’re found the next day.”

The conditions are also associated with pulmonary embolism and stroke, which could also “kill somebody very suddenly.”

Judge Rules Against City of Chicago in Red-Light Camera Suit, Declares Tickets ‘Void’

    http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/Judge-rules-against-city-of-Chicago-in-red-light-camera-suit–369829571.html?_osource=SocialFlowTwt_CHBrand

A Cook County judge has denied a request from the city of Chicago to dismiss a lawsuit claiming it denied due process to motorists ticketed under its red-light camera program.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Judge Kathleen Kennedy’s late Friday ruling declares the tickets void and keeps alive a lawsuit seeking to have the city refund hundreds of millions of dollars to motorists ticketed since 2003.
