“New campaign-finance reports show that Marlene Ricketts, the wife of billionaire T.D. Ameritrade founder J. Joe Ricketts, contributed $3 million to Our Principles PAC, a super PAC that blistered Trump with negative ads, voter guides and mailers ahead of the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries. Katie Packer, who helped manage Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign, runs the group.

Virtually all the money the committee raised in January came from Ricketts, whose family owns the Chicago Cubs.

Our Principles PAC has spent more than $3.5 million on its anti-Trump efforts so far.”

“I’m sorry, but the supreme court has ruled there is no such thing as cookie dough until the last 5 minutes it is cooking. So we don’t have cookie dough ice cream. It all melted when we tried to comply with the new FDA regulations.”

“What?! Then, what do I have here in this one pint container that says ‘cookie dough ice cream’ on the label?”

That’s one pint of ‘granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter, vanilla, egg ,flour, baking soda, salt, semisweet chocolate chips’ ice cream. I just haven’t put the new label on it yet”

I know someone who has jokingly said for years, “We’re doomed!”

That move of Google’s makes it no longer a joke. If they can do this–automatically changing “pro-life” to “anti-choice”–it’s only a matter of time before they can change anything anyone says…TO WHAT THEY WANT THEM TO SAY.

“Freedom of speech” online will be essentially meaningless. They’ll argue that you still ARE free to say anything you want. But you have no control over what happens to what you said once you have said it.

Argue that one in any court. You’ll lose.

Well I guess your being “intellectually offended” by Geert Wilder on the list of Trump supporters sort of illustrates the point of my post which was to demonstrate that Trump’s supporters are anything but the cookie cutter bed fellows that the MSM is portraying them to be.

I’m still not sure why, you find Wilder’s support of Trump “intellectually offensive”.

I have my own lists. One contains Wilders. On that list can be found Pamela Geller. I’m willing to entertain the possibility that I’m not giving Trump enough credit for taking a stand on ending immigration, which would by definition include Muslim refugees from war-torn areas. As of now, Trump isn’t on that list with Wilders and Geller (and others).

Secondly, I don’t equate Wilder’s comments as equivalent to endorsements by prominent American people. That man is facing opposition that you, I and Trump can’t even conjure in our worst nightmares and he would love to have someone like Trump in his country, but he does not–not even a hint of approximation.

Sorry I have no idea what you are talking about Scherado, what list are you talking about? My list was very simple it included some of the diverse people who support Trump. Why would Trump be on a list of people who support Trump?

Secondly, I don’t equate Wilder’s comments as equivalent to endorsements by prominent American people. I never said Geert endorsed Trump or that Geert was an American so I’m not sure what bearing your thought has on my post.

If you want to have a different conversation about the merits of Geert and the opposition he is facing in his real life that is an entirely different ballgame. What does whatever opposition
I may face in my life have to do with Geert. Should I not include Geert in a list that he is on because I am not on the front lines? I honestly have no idea what point you are trying to make.

I was attempting to make a distinction in the kind of offense when I used, “intellectually offended”, but that may not be helpful and I should abandon that attempt.

I thought about the best way to demonstrate the reason that I think it is misleading to put Mr. Wilders’ name on the list. If I think of all the people who support a wall on the USA southern border with Mexico and a temporary, total cessation on immigration–which would stop Muslim immigration–then I would be on your list and quite possibly every Cruz supporter who doesn’t support Trump: have I contradicted myself?

In this way, I meant “intellectually offended”.

Do you really think that I would argue anything else? I hope you know that I use that word in the sense it is used in court.

Wilders’ name DOES belong on your list. I don’t know Wilders’ reason for choosing Trump. I know that he has made the wrong decision for the American President. Do I know whether Wilders knows what Trump said about the Garland, TX event and Pamella Geller? I can only assume that he does. With respect to American politics he may be a political moron. When Sarah Palin endorsed at that stage of the process that she did, I thought that was moronic politically.

The list of mine on which Wilders appears is not a list of people who support my candidate in the American election or anything regarding American politics. I follow closely what goes on in Europe because it is god-awful there as compared to here in the US and we are going to be dragged into that in the same manner as WWI and WWII.

Any proper reading of history suggests that we are approaching the next World War and that nuclear weapons are the only reason for the delay.

My list is the bleeping short list of people who do the truly heavy lifting for the rest of us with respect to fighting Islamic supremacists or Socialists/Lefitsts:.

        Pamela Geller
        Geert Wilders
Mark Levin (for the fight against Socialism)
        (others pending or unknown)

Mark Levin is at the top of my very short list of those fighting to save this country, our country. That short list:

        Mark Levin
        Mike Leigh
        Ted Cruz
        Rush Limbaugh
        Sean Hannity
        Michele Bachmann
        Michelle Malkin

(others pending or unknown or forgotten at the moment)

I know what’s happening to my country and the world and I think Trump does NOT have a clue. Specifically, the REASON that Merkel is doing what she is doing. If you think it’s bad in Germany, you haven’t been paying attention to Britain! They have gone over the cliff!!!!. Trump hasn’t a clue as to what is going on on that level. Cruz, I’m willing to believe DOES know.

I know that Trump doesn’t know the reason Leftists are cozy with Islamists.

In the list of people who DO know such things, I put RUBIO before Trump. That’s how much Trump doesn’t know.

The stakes are far higher than the narrow focus we all click beneath. Trump is riding waves that have been moving for a Century. He DOES NOT KNOW THIS.

I know that Mark Levin knows, I believe that Ted Cruz knows. I believe that Pamela Geller knows.

But I just might have some doubts about Wilders.

That is my perspective, and exactly how lovely are you, lovely? I can’t help but wonder.

I am grateful that you (stella) are tolerant. I’m not blowing smoke up anyone’s behind when I compliment anyone here. I know that it is a long fall to the ground of reality if any of the Trumpsters see the larger picture or experience some other turning point.

I think that you believe me that I come here to take a reading of Trump supporters as I don’t dig in and argue with anyone here. I don’t have time to deal with other sites, as Gatewaypundit, which I stopped reading after the treatment of the Planned Parenthood shooting. What I mean is that it was so objectionable that I couldn’t trust that site anymore. Since then, they have been on the Trump bandwagon and anti-Cruz.

You are on a personal crusade to convert people to your world view by demanding that they recognize your truth as “the truth.”

Here is one of your problems in arguing your points, most of us here recognize what you are doing, who could be against some one who is arguing against Planned Parenthood? You twist a lot of things about and then try to poke people in the eye with arrogant condescending remarks that are valid in the world you have created in your mind but not from a logical unimpassioned perspective.

If you are here to “get a read on Trumpsters” if you are being cognitively responsible you have to admit that the folks here don’t think Trump is going to say the world we have a very sober, rational view of who Trump is and what he will be up against if he makes it to the oval office.

I don’t think anyone here is a “former treehouse member.” I think we are mostly concurrent treehouse members.

Excuse me, but I don’t think you know what Trump knows, or doesn’t know, and he already has some pretty sharp informal advisers. What hard data have you seen to substantiate your point of view, or is it just what you think?

Hey WeeWeed, and anyone else who may have been wondering. Remember wondering about those grey “This tweet is unavailable” boxes on Twitter? They are tweets from people who have private accounts. I asked a young folk 🙂

Ahhh, no good. You need to give it another shot. Never been to Michigan myself, but a place I really want to see. For some reason (Bob Seeger, one of my faves) Traverse City is where I want to go to most. Want to see Detroit, although I hear it’s not at its best right now.

Traverse City is beautiful any time of year, but best in the summer. The entire west coast of Michigan, along Lake Michigan, is really nice. I think my favorite is Charlevoix, but all of the western coastal towns are nice. Mackinac Island is a great place to visit too. There are too many places to name them all. If you like golf, Michigan is your state. We have more than 600 public courses in the state. Of course, boating is big, as is fishing, with the Great Lakes all around, and many inland lakes too. The Detroit area has a lot to offer, although the inner city can be dangerous (like neighborhoods in many cities). You could also visit Canada, since it’s a short trip over the bridge, or through the tunnel.

Does Cruz find it fine to question Trump’s faith? Beck got one thing right though, we will all be judged one day, including him.

It is odd that Trump is fair game, much as Sarah Palin was. What seems to be appalling to these rabid dogs is anyone with true American conservative values.

I’ve been told I’m not a Christian because a Christian wouldn’t vote for Trump.
Some of these same people have also accused me of not voting for Romney because he was a Mormon.
I don’t understand how on one side of the fence I’m not a Christian but on the other side because I’m a Christian supposedly I didn’t vote for Romney.
Which btw it is not true I didn’t vote for Romney, I may not agree with his religion but not only did I vote for him, but I also knocked on doors for him and made phone calls for him. I even tried to convince myself and others that he might surprise us all and be conservative as President.

I would have knocked on doors and made phone calls for a ham sandwich against Obama. lol

I wonder if in Beck’s world lying is a sin. I wonder where he thinks he gets the moral authority to stand in front of whatever crowd that is and say that no one believes that Trump has even opened a bible.

Seems a little Pharisaical to me.

I cannot believe that Cruz honestly thinks having Beck on the campaign trail helps him.
This kind of stuff is what I believe turned SC Christians against him.

Personally I think that Cruz has bought his own lie, I am of the belief that when a person puts on a false face that person begins protecting themselves from self discovery because it becomes too hard to look in the mirror. Beck tells Cruz that Cruz is who Cruz pretends to be, that is the psychological hook.

I don’t think Cruz has a clue how he is perceived by most people who don’t buy his schtick.

I think Trump has a better idea just because almost every pundit tells Trump how terrible he is and how terrible most Americans thinks he is. Even poor Melania was asked something about how she feels about people thinking her husband is a racist, xenophobe, stupid, hateful person.

Cruz while he gets criticism I think he is more inoculated form the constant assault because he isn’t doing as well in the votes or the polls. I doubt Cruz reads much of the criticism against him on the internet whereas Trump seems to enjoy reading it and responding.

Sheriff Palmer is now being harassed. This whole thing is sickening. I’ll post some information about Palmer tomorrow. The Feds are so out of control with blessings from administration after administration.

I would bet Nyet’s breakfast that every anti CfCF sign is being held by a person who works for the federal government or has a family memebr who works for the feds.

And yes, talking to the locals on this side, they said all of those on that side, either worked for BLM, Forest Service, County in some capacity, the Courthouse or were spouses of law enforcement. One of the loudest was the grandson of a BLM employee, living off his grandmother. True story.

Obama Set to Settle Score against Oregon Sheriff Outspoken on the Second Amendment

In the latest development involving the Burns-OR Standoff case, the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training is asking the state Department of Justice to investigate Grant County Sheriff Glenn Palmer after receiving numerous complaints from the public and others, including dispatchers and the John Day police chief.

The Department has released eight separate complaints, including ones from a 911 manager and the John Day police chief, alleging misconduct by Palmer, and raising alarm concerning Palmer’s association with leaders of the refuge occupation. The Department of Justice has been asked to investigate the case, and the licensing agency has warned Palmer that if violations of police standards are found, he could face revocation of his police certification.

It is sickening. They are going for the throat of anyone who dares to question their iron fist.

I imagine Giuliani and Trump are old and good friends. I can’t imagine what the two of them alone work cook up.

And the others are great also, Stephen Moore? Wow! I imagine there is much hand wringing with the mighty overlords these days.

God’s peace and protection on Trump and his own.

Used to read Bennett’s “Book of Virtues” to my kids, good book, good man. Good to hear that Mr. Trump is seeking and taking advice from experts, as he said he would. Like a computer, taking in a lot of data and processing out the correct solutions.
Also good to see a positive article on him as well in the Daily Mail.
