I’ve been a little remiss in my java duties and I’m gonna be headin’ up to the great white North in the Hoosier state for a few days. Packin’ as many sweatshirts as I can in the suitcase. For all you Yanks who want to tell me it’s warming up, just some perspective, it was somewhere around 80* in H-town the last few days, so 40 is not THAT appealing. Not real sure about the computer connections at Pop’s place so I’ll leave some coffee for ya’z tonight. Make it last. 😉 😆

Holocaust Survivor Meets U.S. Soldier Who Saved Him From Concentration Camp

    http://www.opposingviews.com/i/society/holocaust-survivor-meets-us-soldier-who-saved-him-concentration-camp-photo

A Holocaust survivor recently had the chance to salute a U.S. soldier who had liberated him from a Nazi concentration camp seven decades ago.

“I have wanted to do this for 70 years,” Kaufman said. “I love you, I love you so much.”

    Speaking of Miss Crazy;

Hillary’s Email Trail of Troubling Anti-Israel Conversations

A number of columns have been written exposing how Mr. Blumenthal sent articles to Ms. Clinton from his son Max, one of America’s most notorious Israel haters. Ms. Clinton responded very favorably to them. Some of these writings would later be the basis for Max’s anti-Semitic Goliath, whose book launch was thrown by Sid at his own home. The disgraceful writings compare Israel to the Nazis, call for the expulsion of the Jews from Israel and whitewash Palestinian terrorism. For good measure Max also compares the Israel Defense Forces to the SS.

Clinton praised professional Israel hater Max Blumenthal as ‘powerful and touching’……

Yes, you heard right. A Jew who compares the IDF to the SS is a mitzvah.

How do we greet each other on the street, nonverbally? White people, anyway.

A downward nod, a slight closing of the eyes, and a friendly smile.

Japanese people, too. I passed a Japanese couple on the sidewalk the other day, and naturally did that little action of the head. They did too, also with a kind smile. It’s as ingrained in their culture as it is in ours, and is a significant gesture , I believe.

It’s a bow. It’s me saying, without even speaking, that I consider myself to be of lower station than you. It’s them saying it in kind. It’s a display of humility.

All the American black people I know who are under 50 do the opposite.

It’s an upward nod. When you see an acquaintance across the street, upward-nod means “what’s up”, but nonverbally saying the opposite, too. I’m above you.

I know black dudes that walk around with their heads looking up at 45 degrees, all the time, while looking down their noses.

It is an arrogant posture; a display of arrogance. And it’s the only way they greet each other from a distance. Upward-nod. Arrogant upward-nod.

I also know actual Ugandan black Christians who default to the downward-nod, and to a posture of humility. Maybe it has something to do with Christianity?

Cats do a weird thing. They upward-nod, and close their eyes when greeting you. I really don’t know what to make of that, philosophically. They’re angels though, not people.

I don’t take that as disrespect at all. I do it in fact. It’s not arrogance, it is genuine interest, as in, like you said, HEY! good to see ya whats up. Lets them know you happy to see them and want to know how they are. Maybe just a southern thing, but I don’t think so.

  13. Morning ya’ll! I went and did the “early voting” thing yesterday afternoon. It felt so good to vote for The Donald! Georgia started the voting Feb. 8. The main day is March 1, but I’m disabled and it’s hard to stand in a long line for long time. But, I will definitely be driving by my polling place to see what the crowds are like on the day!

  15. So the Pope said, regarding Trump, that Christians don’t build walls.

Say, isn’t Vatican City surrounded by a wall? Who built that? Non-Christians?

I think the big news, aside from the Pope’s hypocritical political meddling, is that the Pope is picking a fight with Trump.

Is he punching down? Because men don’t do that. Davids attack Goliaths. Groups of 20 black thugs attack a 90-year old vet with hammers and kicks to the head.

So which is the Pope in this case? Is he punching up, or down?

My take is that the Pope is punching up, and knows it.

He knows he is, just like Obama, a Post Turtle.

      Nehemiah 2:17,18 (KJV)

17 Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach.

18 Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.

The current Pope seems to have forgotten much, in his dotage.

        Sorry, Pope.

        But seriously.

“Where now are the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the harp on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?
        They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow;
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow.
Who shall gather the smoke of the deadwood burning,
Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?”

Interesting counterpoint to the Jeb!surge nonsense. Haven’t seen this anywhere else yet. The blog writer is a huge Trump supporter.

    https://theamericanindependent.wordpress.com/2016/02/18/mr-low-energy-is-out-of-money-bush-campaign-to-officially-call-it-quits-on-sunday/

The establishment has moved on. They’ve decided to go with the man with even less experience than Bush, Marco Rubio. Senator Rubio benefits primarily by not having the same last name as Jeb. But his campaign is equally scripted and even more telegraphed. Establishment types like the fact that Rubio is young and attractive. They seem to not care that Marco can’t balance his own checkbook. Apparently being saddled with personal debt is now a good resume enhancement for understanding the presidency.

Word has it that an official announcement will come either late Sunday or early next Monday from Jeb Bush himself.

I predict he gets less than 4% of the SC vote on Saturday. But I really expected him to hang in there at least through Super Tuesday.
