UPCOMING EVENT, SAT. 1/23… (a friend of mine said this better than I could):
“If any of you can do so, please attend the March for Life in San Francisco, January 23. It begins with a 9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral on Geary, after which everyone walks to the Civic Center to hear the speakers. The March begins at about noon or so with an awe-inspiring march from the Center down Market Street to the Ferry Building. It’s just wonderful!
Last year we shut down Market Street for FOUR HOURS to get all the marchers through. And not one single news camera or journalist was anywhere in sight. No coverage on tv that evening and none in the papers the following morning. It was as if we’d never happened…”

Random thoughts: I find it interesting 250 years ago; disseminating the principles of what became known as socialism would get you imprisoned. The philosophy existed prior to then, but was only successfully used to get the uneducated peasants to riot. In some cases riots were instigated by heavily indebted landowners and lower royalty in hopes that the assets of the debt holder would make it back to them after everything calmed down.
It was the perfect crime in the 1500’s. If you owed your cousin money, you would get his peasants to drag him out of his bed at night and murder him. You then would assist in hunting down and killing the peasants responsible, then sit back and see how much of your deceased, beloved cousin’s holdings transferred to you.
But even in the 1500’s, no one else believed in the philosophy. It was antichristian and considered insanity.
In the mid-1700’s it could only be talked about in the secret societies and cubs. Not to hide from the authorities, but from everyday people. Socialism couldn’t just be talked about with anyone. Normal people would think you were crazy and turn you in to the police for wanting to steal other people’s property.
To become one of the “enlightened”, secret society candidates had to be vetted over several years. Anyone with a firm Christian background was disqualified.

Pretty much the way it’s still done, though nowdays it’s easier to have some faceless bureaucracy under the party thumb do the deed for you.

I had that same thought. He is not well in the heart, soul or mind, that is my opinion, milage may vary with your belief system 😉
And there is something cuckoo about that family. The mom’s other son told a judge under the penalty of perjury that the last time he saw his mom’s bank statement that it was negative 99 billion. He was asked to remember that he was a sworn witness testifying in court and he stuck to his story 😐
Apparent Daddy Warbuck’s has cut off the gravy train so that is good news.
