Yea me too 😀 apparently I had a very good time. I had no idea what grain alcohol was at the time.
It was a lifetime ago in my wild youth, for my high school graduation my uncle and aunt took me and my best friend with them on a cross country trip in their travel home. I think they both aged 10 years during that month.
Drinking age was 21 but we were never carded back in the day 😉
We did really have a good time and I got to see things I will always remember. Most of my time was spent sober 🙂 though the aunt and uncle were free spirit anti government folks so we did have a lot of unique experiences 😉

Morning Ms.WeeWeed. Sunrise in an hour. Not too chilly, mid 30s. Will be hunting today, deer, four legged, not deer two legged. Yes we do have some wives/girlfriends who treck into the woods. Using my trusted saddle rifle (30-30) and for grins bring the Sharps (45-70) along. Yes I know that’s a lot of Iron, may need some help.

I don’t miss those days. My drop dead time to be exiting the front door was 5:25 am or I had no hope of catching the “sweet spot” train – which was get to work ahead of schedule long enough to buy a coffee and slowly spool up for the day, the next one was a squeeze for on time arrival and iffy. Although, I did like catching up on correspondence and reading in the “Quiet Car” on the way home.

Not near as many options for moi’. As I’m in sales and Houston is the size of Rhode Island, I just wish a nice train ride would be in my cards. Normally I’m out by 6:00 to get in the first wave of traffic. 😉

Was just watching a YouTube of Bill Whittle and Stefan Molyneux about the Death of Political Correctness. Interesting point brought up by Whittle, that can be used to persuade young progressives to doubt Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton.
You know that Uber is very popular among the young, hip, class. Well, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton are anti Uber, and will back legislation to regulate Uber, to make it more “fair” to the taxi industry (substitute UNION here).

I love thumbprints. I have two recipes I love. One is made with vanilla ice cream (in batter). The other is a peanut butter thumbprint filled with jam.

Oooh, that sound really awesome (the one with vanilla ice cream in the batter). Thumbprints are always a big hit, I usually make a triple batch. DH’s favorite feeling is apricot or raspberry; my youngest liked it when I would tint apple jelly green. They’re also good if you put a peppermint hershey kiss while they’re still warm in thumbprint instead of jam.

What in the world groups are you seeing this stuff in? I’m not seeing anything like that (of course that might be due to not logging onto Facebook more than 2 minutes a day to send birthday wishes or when I get told to “like my post”).

It was a story about a girl (I think in Portland) who faked being pregnant to see how see she would be treated. Her mother and boyfriend, and her school principal, knew about the hoax. When she was supposedly six months pregnant, she revealed in a school assembly (!!) that it was all fake, and how people treated her badly etc.
The question was, what did we think about it? I said it was ridiculous, and that societal pressures are in place for a reason – to prevent young girls from having to raise babies on their own. I went on to say that a two-parent home is the ideal environment for raising children, and that single parents are more likely to live in poverty. For that I was called unfeeling, a religious zealot and,at the end, “full of shit”.

Down here they don’t remodel, they just move all their friends in over several nights and zhazam! Pretty soon you’ve got 20 rock guys living in a 3/2 mobile home. 🙄

They are correct that it is next to impossible to evict a tenant, esp if you get a Progtastic judge. Which is why my FIL and most of the owners on the block left their apts vacant once a tenant died or left, exacerbating NYC’s already tight rental market.

Add: Since it is an owner occupied less than 4 unit building, the 3rd floor tenants are not correct. Owner occupied buildings give the owners the right to outright discriminate against tenants and evictions much easier to do.
