We’re cat custodians for three at the moment – a 2 year old, 1 year old and 6 mth old. The 6 mth old, aka, “the seven pound terrorist” has non-stop energy and can manage to find anything and everything she shouldn’t be into – grocery store twist ties, used Q-tips, all manner of bugs, beetles and crickets, and she especially enjoys stealing (dirty) socks out of the hamper and hiding them … I didn’t realize I had to “cat proof” my house when I took this on. Today’s project is to set up a bird feeder outside the patio …. for the CATS so they’ll have something to keep them entertained and interested. Everyday is Caturday in this house now.

The Seven Pound terrorist is the one sleeping on the blanket on the couch for the entire 63 seconds a day she naps and isn’t tearing around the house at warp speed. The oldest one is in the cat bed and looking at us as if to say, “Yeah, I can’t believe she’s actually sleeping”, either.

My cat steals all kinds of things. Right now I’m looking for a USB stick.

Oh boy. I’ll have to keep my head on a swivel. The older one likes to sneak into my home office and sleep on the scanner/printer if I don’t close the doors fully. Yesterday I watched him try and figure out a way to jump up and get enough weight/momentum on the paddle-type door levers to open the doors up to let himself in. Unfortunately for me he’s going to figure it out I’m sure. He’s also a little magpie, but not as bad as the terrorist.

One day my cat pranced into the living room with my razor in her mouth.

Now that we have the seven pound terrorist, I fully get the expression, “Curiosity Killed the Cat”. She has no sense of self preservation and will eat anything AND gets into everything. She had her head right in the open box of Arm & Hammer washing soda I have on my laundry supply shelf so I realized I had to do more cat proofing …. they don’t have a poison control # for cats.
