Illuminating article. Explains the unconcern about their daughter:

Want to Understand How Syef Farook and Tashfeen Malik Could Leave Behind a Baby Daughter to Kill Innocent Victims in a Jihadi Attack? Look to Islamic Doctrine

That does (partially) explain it. The whole thing is crazy.

I am so weary of the deliberate deflections about true Islam and its doctrine and the continual repackaging of it so it is palatable to the classically liberal mind.

FAO/ROAs (Foreign Area Officers) who have extensive training in language, culture and what Islamic doctrine actually is labor under no such delusions.

I understand “Godwin’s Rule” WRT making comparisons to Nazis and their brand of socialist doctrine. However, when examining Islam, the comparison is not only valid but necessary. Hitler had an alliance with the Grand Mufti of Jerusaleum, who was given office space and staff in Berlin. Hitler often expressed his admiration for the Islamists, stating in a public speech:

“The peoples of Islam will always be closer to us than, for example, France”.

In biographical info published about Hitler by his closest advisors, they explain that Hitler admired the ruthlessness of which Islamists spread their doctrine, and was quite happy to exploit that, as he felt that in the very end the triumphant ethnically pure Germans, once they had control over all of Europe, would then deal with the Islamists and take control of their terrorities as well. The modern day Progressives hew to the same belief. They are in admiration with the ruthlessness with which Islamists gain power and control, and even provide aid, cover and comfort, because in the end, they feel that they will also be able to take over and control the Islamists in the final battle for the establishment of the perfect collectivist state.

So, when people discuss Islam, I always in my mind substitute “Nazi”. For example, the premise, “not all Muslims (Nazis) are bad. There are some very nice Muslims (Nazis).” You begin to see how ridiculous it all is. I refuse to sign up for my own genocide. Islam is not a great religion deserving of all kinds of state protections and carve-outs, it is a complete totalarian system managed through terror and force.

Nope. The runways in the north get shut down all the time because the Moose and Elk like to sleep on the warm black top asphalt and NOTHING will move them until they’re ready to move. And there’s no fence line in the world that’ll keep ’em OUT. It’s not unusual to get a NOTAMS (Notice to Airmen) about a temporary shutdown.

The most interesting thing about that article to me is that Alaska Airlines has service to Santa Rosa…. I always thought it was just a GA airport. I’ll have to let my daughter know.

Disintegration is happening all around us, more and more rapidly. People need to be prepared, physically, mentally, and–most importantly–spiritually. God is the ultimate Victor, but there will be (more) horrors and suffering before the end.

I read 2 Timothy this morning. Struck by a lot, but this for sure:

“Indeed all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceivers and deceived.”
        [2 Timothy 3:12-13]

We can’t find the wooden manger 😦 ? but we have all the people and as usual Joseph has lost his head over the season of storage so he is being glued together.

Hope everyone is having a jolly day.

There’s a black humor-type comment in there somewhere, about ISIS burning down the structure and beheading the Jewish man.

      Sorry… 😦

I hope your home is looking lovely, lovely! No tree here yet–my husband is out of town, and I can’t possibly solo manhandle the artificial tree storage box down from the loft in the garage. Maybe tomorrow!

We buy a fresh tree. Always as much fun picking it out as it is putting it up. Sad too in that there are only two of us now home for Christmas. But there are lots of happy memories and the older two do come home for a few days then we all get together with the rest of the family.

Yeah poor Joseph I don’t know what happened but it is a manger scene which was given to my girls the year their dad passed and it was given to us by a friend in her 80’s and she has since passed. Anyhow it is a treasure. I’m sure the manger is in the basement somewhere. << Sorry not trying to be depressing, just talking about the sentimentality attached to some things.

We have a lot of Peanuts decorations which always make me smile. The dogs weren't bad this year and didn't think the tree was an intruder though the kiddo hung a chime low and every time the most high-strung dog walk by it we are regaled with music and the dog takes off running because she thinks something bad is happening 🙂 her nails need clipping and she can't get a good grip on the hardwood floor when she is running, so it is all an all a pretty entertaining scene.

We have 1 Mommas, and 2 bebees left from an original litter of 5 kitties…… Mommas is 17, the bebees will be 16 on April 11. Anyway, the first Christmas tree we put up both amazed and horrified them – the tree was climbed, killed, ornaments rolled everywhere the entire season. That was an artificial tree with arranged lighting.
    It never worked again.
    The End.

The other migrant crisis: Cubans are streaming north in large numbers

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/the_americas/the-other-migrant-crisis-cubans-are-streaming-north-in-large-numbers/2015/12/05/3160772e-992f-11e5-aca6-1ae3be6f06d2_story.html

The number of unauthorized Cubans arriving in the United States nearly doubled in fiscal 2015, rising to 43,159 from 24,278 the previous year, according to U.S. border officials, and the surge appears to be accelerating. The vast majority are coming not in rickety boats or rafts but right through U.S. ports of entry at the border with Mexico. Combined with the more than 20,000 who are issued immigration visas annually under existing accords, it amounts to the largest influx of Cubans into the United States in decades.

I knew a guy several years ago that had family in the Dominican Republic. He would visit for his annual two week vacation and take a quick trip via ferry to pickup cigars. Perhaps they’re just a courier service….. Yeah, that’s it. That’s the ticket. 🙄
