Mornin’ all. Coffee’s ready. It’s a roasty, toasty 36* and rainy wet this mornin’ at Rancho el Gordito. πŸ™‚

Shoot, I was going to see if you wanted our rain. I’m done with it now as it’s been hanging around since Wednesday evening.

It’s still steady here. Doing chores in the rain while trying to stay warm and dry is not an easy task. Add a cold on top of it and it makes you wish you could take a vacation.

Thank you, glad to see you’re okay, I missed you.
I think it’s about to run it’s course with me and thankfully the grandbaby is just about over it. This evening my husband is coming down with it.

How old is your grandbaby? Mine just made the one year mark 2 weeks ago. πŸ˜€

Mine will be 11 months on the 1st. So they’re real close to the same age. Mine is starting to be a handful and keeps you on your toes.

Same here michellc. I’ve recently grown another set of eyes in the back of my head….and I still struggle to keep up with him. Lord knows what the future will bring….I’m getting too old to run with the bulls. πŸ˜‰

It was easier keeping up with them when we were young. I keep him for a few hours and I’m worn out. You can’t turn your back on him for 5 seconds without him being in another room and he’s starting to hate the word no.

LOL….exactly the same here. Mine is a “himz” too! He was a month premature, so technically he’s also 11 mos. My husband and I do his daycare for 10 hrs. a day….since last February. Totally exhausting, however, it’s been a blast getting to put my old teaching skillz back to work. Oh….most of the time mine just smiles and ignores the word “no”. Little Scorpio…what can I say. πŸ˜‰

Mine has a problem with that as well, turns and looks at you, smiles and keeps doing what he’s not supposed to do.
He’s also learning to try and give you a kiss and a hug when you do get on to him. My husband laughs and tells me to be strong.lol
That’s something else I’m learning, it was easier being strong as a mom than it is as a grandma.lol

Michellc, as I’m sure you remember, soon no will be his favorite word. I am learning with my three year old granddaughter how different girls are. We had all boys. This precious little girl is sweet as honey and has a will of iron. You sometimes have to get up and physically make her do what you tell her, and it is very important to do that, or she really goes off the reservation.

Her brother is 14 months younger and now they are close in size. They fight 23 hours a day. He tries to take whatever she has just because he can, and she goes nuts. She runs throughout the house with her hands clutching whatever toy over her head screaming “He taking it from me Pi Pi! He taking it!” And then ten minutes later she’s trying to hug and kiss him.

Two hours with them and I need a blood transfusion and a brain transplant. And I can’t go two or three days without missing them terribly.

                  LOL
My daughter was never overly sweet, she was tomboy through and through. I tell her now when she gives me a granddaughter I’m going to make her a girl, she and my husband just laugh and say I already tried that once.
Her and her brother 2 years younger than her fought like cats and dogs growing up, but she wouldn’t let anyone else pick on him. My youngest son was actually the sweetest of all my kids. I think because he was the baby and my daughter who was 6 when he was born babied him the most.
My grandson actually reminds me of him, he loves to give hugs and kisses and is usually always happy and never met a stranger. Where he is different is he is stubborn, his mom was a little stubborn, but not like him. I tell her I think she’s having to pay for her husband’s raising. According to his Dad he was a very hard headed kid who got lots of spankings.

We’ve had rain on and off since Thanksgiving, I’m ok with that as it is better than snow.

I can’t remember exactly what time it started Wednesday evening, but other than for about 2 hours Thanksgiving morning it hasn’t stopped.
I almost wish it would snow at least then it would be pretty.:)
