Day TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-NINE of Presidential recovery.
Even after Hillary’s stupid comments this week, and the hilarious responses to them, Chelsea decided to open her big mouth too. I think Bill has so far remained silent (as he should).
An underrated quality in life is knowing when to stay out of a debate. I won’t claim to have always been perfect in that area, but hoo boy, did Chelsea Clinton fail the test on Thursday.
If you’ve been following the news, you’re likely aware of the ongoing meltdown over President Donald Trump using private donations to remodel the East Wing into a ballroom. Since pictures of the construction went viral, nearly every Democrat politician and those adjacent to them have chimed in to claim it’s symbolic of the destruction of our democracy. To call it mind-numbingly pretentious would be an understatement.
But while the protestations from Elizabeth Warren, Chuck Schumer, and Jim Acosta have been ridiculous, if you lived in the White House during the Clinton administration, the best time to comment on this story would be never. Of course, restraint isn’t something the Clintons are known for.
[. . .]
if there was one family in presidential history who should sit all the way down about how the White House was treated, it’s the Clintons.
Democrats are claiming that President Trump is “destroying” the White House. That he had promised that the ballroom construction wouldn’t interfere with the existing White House structure. Here’s cankles leading the pack:
And “Morning Joe”:
Good news.
An appeals court just ruled that President Donald Trump can deploy National Guard troops to violence-plagued Portland, Oregon.
The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Portland has been under near-constant siege for months, as Antifa, Trantifa, and other radical leftists violently harass and even assault agents and federal property. Trump wanted to send in military backup, and this time, the legal decision went his way.
Forbes reported Monday: “A federal appeals court ruled Monday that President Donald Trump can send troops to Portland, Oregon, while litigation over their deployment moves forward, overturning a lower court that blocked Trump from his latest effort to use the military in Democratic-leaning cities.”
Andy Ngo reported that the Portland “No King” protests turned violent. He highlighted threatening messages on the protestors’ signs, including pro-guillotine messages.
