President Trump has won a resounding victory, securing the primary votes necessary to officially become the Republican nominee for President of the United States in 2024. None of his rivals in the contest even got close.
And now, he speaks to his people:
Have you ever noticed that one sunny day when you are driving or walking down your street there seems to be a green haze in the air, as the leaves unfurl? Even though you have been waiting and watching for it, all of a sudden that day arrives!
Not quite that day here in my neighborhood, but it won’t be long!
Today my forsythia began to bloom, which is my sign that spring has actually begun. Even though I noticed that my daffs and tulips are out of the ground, they aren’t blooming yet. Some years the forsythia blooms just before or after a snow shower, but it doesn’t matter to me. I know that will pass shortly, and sometimes so quickly that summer is here before I can catch my breath.
I know some of you probably don’t like Meghan Kelly, but she hits a home run (or many home runs) in the first 15 minutes of her show yesterday. You can watch the rest (an interview with Andrew Klavan) if you like too.
Katie Hopkins is talking about the recent Ireland vote here, but she also addresses the more broad point: that we are all losing, or have lost, faith in government, law enforcement, doctors and hospitals, pharma etc. We view with skepticism their every pronouncement. We all also now realize that elected politicians don’t really represent us. They have their own priorities, and their main concern is being able to control us. Watch:
