Caution: The Solar Eclipse

Monday, April 8, 2024, total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

The duration of totality will be up to 4 minutes and 27 seconds, almost double that of The Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017. The 2017 total solar eclipse was witnessed by about 20 million people from Oregon to South Carolina, and the upcoming 2024 Great American Eclipse is sure to be witnessed by many millions more.

This was originally posted on Facebook prior to the 2017 eclipse and is good information to share.

Michael Schecter:

As an Optometrist , I want to express concern that I have about the solar eclipse on Monday, Aug 21. There are serious risks associated with viewing a solar eclipse directly, even with the use of solar filter glasses. Everyone should keep in mind if they or their children are considering this.

Tucker’s Neighbor on Rural America, Overcoming Addiction, and Donald Trump

Contrary to what D.C. “intellectuals” would have you believe, watching CNN and MSNBC is not really the best way to understand how our country is doing.

Talking to everyday Americans is. And if you do that, you’ll likely be surprised by what you learn.

Semi-professional lawnmower racer and Western Maine resident Esau Cooper is not famous, but he probably should be. Cooper, one of Tucker’s closest neighbors, is far more in tune with the state of America than our ruling class could ever grasp, and his insights offered on today’s Tucker Carlson Encounter are profoundly interesting and deeply revealing.

Corporate media would never air this kind of interview. That’s one of the many reasons why it’s worth watching.

Holy Saturday

Holy Saturday is referred to in each Gospel, but Luke gives a glimpse into the law behind this specific day. Luke 23:55 shares, “As his body was taken away, the women from Galilee followed and saw the tomb where his body was placed. Then they went home and prepared spices and ointments to anoint his body. But by the time they were finished the Sabbath had begun, so they rested as required by the law.”

Saturday in Jewish tradition is the Sabbath, so it was against the law of the land for the women to place the oils and spices they had prepared for the body. This timing is no coincidence, for after the Sabbath is over at the dawn of Sunday they attempt to go and honor the body again, and it is then in Luke 24 that the glorious miracle is revealed that indeed Jesus was true to His word to rise again.

This is merely a legend.

In Jesus’ time, the dogwood grew
To a stately size and a lovely hue.
‘Twas strong and firm, its branches interwoven.
For the cross of Christ its timbers were chosen.
Seeing the distress at this use of their wood
Christ made a promise which still holds good:
“Never again shall the dogwood grow
Large enough to be used so.
Slender and twisted, it shall be
With blossoms like the cross for all to see.
As blood stains the petals marked in brown,
The blossom’s center wears a thorny crown.
All who see it will remember Me
Crucified on a cross from the dogwood tree.
Cherished and protected, this tree shall be
A reminder to all of My agony.”

Tucker & Mike Rowe: The Real Dangers of AI (It Will Steal More Than Just Your Job)

Any interview with Mike Rowe is a good one, in my opinion, and this one is by Tucker Carlson! Double treat. This is only about a quarter of the total interview, but at the moment that is only available on tuckercarlson.com.

Did you know that Mike Rowe started his career as a professional singer for the Baltimore Opera?

Artificial intelligence is taking over, automating more aspects of everyday life than ever before. What does this mean for American workers?

No one has thought about this issue more than Mike Rowe, who joined tonight’s Tucker Carlson Encounter to discuss how to preserve our humanity in the age of AI, lessons learned from the set of Dirty Jobs, and even sing some opera.

Mike Rowe is one of the best guys in the world. This conversation will show you why.

Good Friday

Today in the Christian world, we observe the death of Jesus. In Jerusalem, pilgrims follow the Via Dolorosa (The Way of Suffering/Grief), which is the path that Jesus followed, carrying the Cross.

The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, built on the site where Jesus was crucified, died, and rose from the dead, is open to visitors.

John 19:1-30
