Remembering What is Difficult To Remember – Holocaust Remembrance Day

This is a repeat post, in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

One day at a blog most of us know well, we were visited by someone who wrote,

I would encourage those who believe anything negative about Hitler to please have an open mind and do some further study.  We are lied to about almost everything these days.  Carolyn Yeager is a good source for this topic.

Today is a day to remember – and to remind others – the horrors that were carried out by people who, at first glance, looked like you and me.

The Hindenburg Disaster

On May 6, 1937 at 7:25 p.m., the German airship LZ 129 Hindenburg burst into flames while attempting to moor at Naval Air Station Lakehurst, in New Jersey. Of the 97 persons aboard, 35 were killed. One member of the ground crew also perished. Considering how quickly the craft was destroyed, it seems like a miracle to me that so many passengers and crew survived.

The images, film, and reporting by Herbert Morrison of the huge fireball consuming the Hindenburg, shocked the world. It marked the beginning of the end of the era of the airship and is one of the most famous disasters in aviation history.

After the crash, the U.S. Navy reacted quickly to rescue survivors, treat the wounded, and secure the site, even as the wreckage continued to smolder.

Patriotism isn’t dead yet!

UNC fraternity men took down the Palestinian flag, raised the American flag to its proper place, and defended it!

Amidst the chaos, the screaming, the anti-semitism, the hatred of faith and flag, stood a platoon of American heroes. Armored in Vineyard Vines and Patagonia, fueled by Zyn and White Claws, these triumphant Brohemians protected Old Glory from the unwashed Marxist horde — laughing at their shrieks and wails and shielding the Stars & Stripes from Soviet missiles.

These boys… no, men, of the UNC frats, gave the best to America.

UPDATE: Just ONE Reason Why Illegal Immigration Is A Problem

A deadly outbreak of tuberculosis (TB) has occurred inside a California hotel housing homeless people, leading to the death of one person and forcing city health officials to declare a public health emergency.

The alarming outbreak at the unnamed hotel infected 14 people, resulting in nine people being hospitalized, the Department of Health and Human Services for Long Beach announced Thursday. The identity of the deceased individual has not been released.

Never forget – it was Joe Biden (and this is only one example)

Text:

In 1975, President Ford was left to manage the difficult ending of the Vietnam War. President Ford went to Congress for a relief package to allow American personnel and our allies to evacuate. However, there was ONE US SENATOR who opposed any such support. The result was the embarrassing and hurried evacuation from the roof of the American embassy in Saigon.
