A Historic Gift

President Donald J. Trump meets with María Corina Machado of Venezuela in the Oval Office, during which she presented the President with her Nobel Peace Prize in recognition and honor.

PJ MEDIA

On Thursday afternoon, I wrote about how María Corina Machado visited the White House and had lunch with Donald Trump. While I was writing that article, some rumors were circulating about a big gesture she made, but I couldn’t confirm them at the time. Now I can.

The Venezuelan opposition leader, on behalf of her people, gave the president her Nobel Peace Prize. Not a replica. The real thing. Since the meeting was purposely kept private, I wasn’t sure that a photo would surface, but one got out, and as of late Thursday night, both the White House and Machado have shared it on social media.

Meanwhile, in Minnesota . . .

What I can’t get my head around is why people don’t understand that ICE is simply enforcing immigration laws that were passed by CONGRESS. If Democrats oppose enforcement of these laws, why did they not change them when they had the opportunity as the majority party?

First of all this week, the state of Minnesota’s lawsuit demanding that ICE stop operating in their state has (more or less) failed. While the state may take it to a higher court, it is settled law that the Federal government has jurisdiction over immigration enforcement.  Watch:

NEXT! Governor Walz goes full crazy in his resistance to Federal immigration enforcement, whipping up citizens to illegally oppose ICE operations in the process:

More on the Somali Suitcase Cash Export

A couple of patriotic X’ers (including @DataRepublican) have done some investigation into cash exported to Somalia. They discovered why the money was being routed through the Minneapolis airport:

TEXT:

Okay @DataRepublican, and I did some general numbers on the SomaliFraud cash going through Minneapolis airport.

According to reports, over 2 years, they moved roughly $700MM through the airport.

That means (if they used $100 bills) they moved 7.7 metric tons of cash, and keep in mind, this is just what was flagged over the past 2 years.

Couple notes on that number:

That would essentially mean that the Somalis were taking a $1 million dollar duffle bag through the airport — EVERY SINGLE DAY — for two years.

Somali Suitcase Stash: Feds say $130 million moved from Ohio airport to Minnesota on way overseas

JUST THE NEWS

Federal agents investigating a Somali immigrant operation that moved massive amounts of cash in suitcases from the Minneapolis airport to overseas have uncovered a new leg of the courier journey: the Columbus, Ohio airport.

Homeland Security Department officials told Just the News that Transportation Security Administration officers tracked and flagged about $136 million in bulk cash in outbound luggage at the passenger checkpoints at John Glenn Columbus International Airport since November 2023.

The cash movements were made by U.S. citizens of Somali origin who flew out of the Columbus airport en route to either the airports in Minneapolis or Atlanta, and the couriers always declared the cash as legally required on documents, officials said.

“Typically, when they go to Minneapolis, they drop off the cash and then a subsequent courier travels abroad from Minneapolis to Dubai through Amsterdam,” one official familiar with the investigation told Just the News on Tuesday, speaking only on condition of anonymity.
