George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation

In 1789, we celebrated our first official Thanksgiving as a Nation.  On October 3, 1789, George Washington issued the Proclamation at the request of Congress.  Then, as now, there was controversy surrounding the necessity, or even the seemliness, for the Federal government to issue such a proclamation.

Trump Cabinet Nominees Targeted by Bomb Threats and Swatting

Epoch Times

They were subject to ‘bomb threats’ and swatting attempts, spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said on Wednesday.

Several of President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet were targeted by “bomb threats” and “swatting” attempts on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, a Trump spokeswoman said.

In a statement issued on social media, Trump transition team spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said that unnamed Cabinet nominees and administration officials were subjected to “violent, un-American threats to their lives and those who live with them.”

Leavitt said that law enforcement officials acted quickly to mitigate the problem, but didn’t provide further details.

“President Trump and the entire transition team are grateful for their swift action,” she said, referring to law enforcement officials.

It’s not clear if a police report was filed or if an investigation is underway. The Epoch Times contacted the U.S. Secret Service and National Security Council for comment on Wednesday.

Trump’s incoming U.S. ambassador to Israel, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) released a statement soon after, confirming she was targeted by a bomb threat.

“This morning, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, her husband, and their three year old son were driving home to Saratoga County from Washington for Thanksgiving when they were informed of a bomb threat to their residence,” her office said in a statement on X.

U.S. Capitol Police, local police, and New York State police responded to the incident, she added.

PE Trump Considers a Shake-Up of the White Daily Briefing – MM Will be Shocked!

Remember her?

DAILY MAIL

Donald Trump is considering giving the likes of Joe Rogan and Megyn Kelly a seat in the White House press briefing room instead of mainstream media journalists in a plot that will ‘blow up some heads’.

The stunning plan was revealed by the president-elect’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr. on a recent episode of his podcast ‘Triggered with Donald Trump Jr.’

Speaking to his co-host Michael Knowles, Jr. admitted that the incoming White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt may rework the briefing room seating arrangement to make way for Trump’s new podcast ‘bro’ buddies.

‘I wonder now, as your father is assembling his team, as maybe Karoline Leavitt is looking at the new press briefing room chart, maybe it’s time to reorder that chart and maybe take away some people’s seats,’ Knowles inquired.

President-Elect Trump Nominates Professor—Who Was Censored for his COVID Warnings—to Lead NIH

Red State

The Trump-Vance transition team announced that Stanford Professor Jay Bhattacharya, MD, PhD, author of “The Great Barrington Declaration,” is his pick to lead the National Institutes of Health. This is a terrific choice; Dr. Bhattacharya is highly respected and was right about the negative effects of lockdowns during the COVID pandemic when so many others were wrong. He didn’t back down despite numerous attempts to silence him.

Trump was effusive in his praise:

I am thrilled to nominate Jay Bhattacharya, MD, PhD, to serve as Director of the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Bhattacharya will work in cooperation with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to direct the Nation’s Medical Research, and to make important discoveries that will improve Health, and save lives.
