President-elect Donald Trump announced Tuesday he was picking former talk show host Dr. Mehmet Oz to run the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Trump said in a statement that Oz, a cardiologist and Columbia University professor emeritus who unsuccessfully ran for the Senate in Pennsylvania two years ago, would work closely with Health and Human Services Secretary-designate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “to take on the illness industrial complex, and all the horrible chronic diseases left in its wake.”
“Dr. Oz will be a leader in incentivizing Disease Prevention, so we get the best results in the World for every dollar we spend on Healthcare in our Great Country,” added Trump, 78.

President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday nominated Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick to serve as commerce secretary.
Lutnick, 63, has served as the co-chair of Trump’s transition team and was a key fundraiser for Trump’s 2020 and 2024 campaigns. Billionaire and Trump backer Elon Musk endorsed Lutnick for Treasury secretary.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court is ordering Boards of Elections throughout the state to follow its previous rulings and not count “mail-in and absentee ballots that fail to comply” with the state election code.
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court issued its ruling on Monday, as elections board officials in Bucks County, in particular, have defied Pennsylvania Supreme Court precedent and moved to count ballots that the court has determined cannot be counted.

President-elect Trump announced that he is nominating former Congressman Sean Duffy of Wisconsin, and now former Fox News contributor and FOX Business co-host, to serve as the U.S. Secretary of Transportation.
