Good mornin’, Lucille! Now you’re in my neighborhood. One of the few areas in the western part of the state where you can see the fall foliage. Just an FYI, the Frio river is aptly named.

It was common knowledge that Pres. Reagan kept jellybeans on his desk, he also kept a bag of peanuts in his desk drawer for the squirrels who would visit the balcony daily. On his final day in office he left the usual bowl of peanuts along side of which he placed a note that read “be careful, the new guy has a dog”.
I was not a huge admirer of the man however he did have his moments.

For a while our company location was split between two buildings, and we frequently walked down a sidewalk between them. There were squirrels, and somebody was feeding them. The result was squirrels blocking our path demanding a toll!

Good morning, aus! Squirrels are so clever. I’d wager he didn’t advertise the donut transactions to his pals. Telling others might cut off the supply.

Good mornin’, and happy half-way day! Here’s to hoping our POTUS got a full night’s sleep last night. Below is the ultra-sleek coffee maker. It can be yours for a mere $15K. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

Here in Texas, we have a US Senate race in ’26. The d’s have been grooming this guy as of late. He’s even been working with Teh Won on his messaging recently. I wonder how he’s gonna message the six genders he believes in, or that it’s OK for Johnny to play on Susie’s volleyball team.

Afternoon Mom! It’s just one of those lines from Monty Python and The Holy Grail about swallows – laden or unladen?

I’m glad I asked. I had forgotten about that discussion of “swallows carrying coconuts”. That movie is really hilarious.

Mornin! Czarina! When I was a kid, we’d pick rhubarb from the garden and dip it in a Dixie cup filled with sugar and eat it raw! Yum!!

Hadn’t ever heard of that but it never made us sick and grandmother was who showed us and believe me she knew farming.

Good day to you, Czarina! I’m with you on the rhubarb, though I did like my Mom’s rhubarb pie.
Old fashioned department stores were the greatest fun. I especially loved Bullock’s Wilshire. The Art Deco building remains and now houses a law school.
Spent many a Saturday there, especially around Christmas. I’m going to get all weepy just remembering those wonderful years. When you’re living it, you don’t always have appreciation for it…only when it’s gone and no longer accessible do you know what’s been lost. That’s California in a nutshell.

Mornin’ All. Overcast and chilly so far and not expected to get much over 50*. I think it got down into the 20’s last night.
On my way to Bible Study so have to go. Hope you all have a nice day.

We knew this was where they were headed, but I really believed that someone with sense would stop it all before it got this bad. Who in their right mind would encourage this? I guess it is just evil.

I’ve known many people with businesses in L.A. County, though most have retired. Whether they still vote Dem, I don’t know. But they were all Dems when I had contact with them.
No one really foresaw the Marxist philosophy takeover which enables the DAs to simply ignore crime. They sure know now.
All we can do is pray and keep as many informed as possible.

Here’s another example of lawlessness encouraging lawlessness and not reform like the judge in this case assumes will happen. The teens don’t have to attend classes or see counselors that might encourage them to truly look at their criminality and change their wayward lives.

They are going to have to get rid of the leftist judges for things to start working as they should.
