Most Italian pasta recipes are really quick and easy to make, and can usually be prepared in the time it takes to heat a pot of water and boil a box of pasta.
Not this one…
Every few years, we get it into our heads to attempt the ultimate pasta showstopper: the timballo. It takes a long time to make, it’s easy to mess up, and you don’t know if you’ve succeeded until it’s time to eat.
I might try this. If I can obtain some really good tomatoes.
