    Stellars….

And if you labor as a California lifeguard, your wish could be fulfilled…

Or you could work in a beach snack shop…

You might be a Mexican Marine in Cancun whose beat is the beach…

    Be beachy today!

Good mornin’, Lucille. I found this information out about some of those lifeguards…….. “in 2021, 20 Los Angeles County lifeguards earned between $300000 and $510000, and another 98 lifeguards earned at least $200000. Forbes reported that in 2019, seven LA lifeguards made more than $300000, and 82 lifeguards had total earnings that exceeded $200000.” Coffee’s ready, ma’am.

Good mornin’, Texan! That’s amazing! Wonder how much that is per person saved from the sea or assisted on the sand. Hopefully everyone has plenty of coffee to drink while they watch the lifeguards doing their very necessary work.

AI tells me: To highlight famous individuals who began their careers as lifeguards, consider the following:

Ellen DeGeneres – The comedian and talk show host lifeguarded at a local pool during her teenage years.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson – Before becoming a wrestling and movie star, he worked as a lifeguard in Hawaii.

Jessica Alba – The actress and businesswoman lifeguarded during her teenage years.

Cameron Diaz – The actress worked as a lifeguard while pursuing modeling in her youth.

Michael Phelps – The Olympic swimmer lifeguarded during his early years before his swimming career took off.

Kurt Russell – The actor was a lifeguard in his youth, which helped him develop his athletic skills.

Good mornin’, and happy Labor Day! The day that I’m supposed to sleep in, and here we are right on schedule. Found a pot that is very simple, yet elegant. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

Good day, Czarina! Does thinking positively about your acne cure it?

      Burnt ends?

“My candle burns at both ends
      It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends –
It gives a lovely light.” – Edna St. Vincent Millay

Pastors’ spouses reminds me of a TV preacher I worked for in the mid-80s (turned out to be the most disillusioning job ever). He occasionally voiced his dislike for over-plump women, saying one time that a plump young woman I wanted to hire as my secretary would have to be kept hidden away!! Yet his wife fell in that category, as did his mother. Sorta Freudian, ya think? Hah!

Another of my bosses invested his money in several luxury “boutique” hotels in southern Cali. The hotel restaurants employed terrific chefs. The boss used to unexpectedly pop in to check everything out which kept the employees on their toes, for sure. LOL!

I certainly hope that “Forgiveness Day” isn’t a call to forgive BHO or Comey or Brennan or the dopey Trump-hater with the horrible mustache.

Good Afternoon All. I woke up and looked at the clock and it was 7:30 and the next time I looked it was 10:00. It is sunny and comfortably cool out and will warm up later. The temps are supposed to drop into the 50’s and maybe 40’s at night in the next week or so.

Hope you all can enjoy the day.

Why Can’t You Wear White After Labor Day, Actually?

Where did this “outdated” etiquette rule come from, and does it still apply?

    Grok says it’s true.

    Grok says:

The claim is accurate. Researchers at Kyoto University Hospital started phase 1 human trials in September 2024 for a drug that inhibits USAG-1 to regrow teeth. It involves 30 men aged 30-64 missing teeth, with plans to expand if safe. Goal: available by 2030. Confirmed via Toregem BioPharma and medical news sources.
