Good mornin’, and happy Sunday. In case you’re heading out this morning, I wanted to make sure you have plenty of go-juice. Six gallons of propane-propelled luscious black gold awaits you. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

Good mornin’, ladies! For the 2nd morning in a row, I woke up at 4:18 am. For no apparent reason, I felt the need to see how dark it really is at that time of the morning. At least today I was able to go back to sleep around 5:30. Yesterday was a long day, but all my rat-killin’ was done before 10:00 am. Enjoy your day!

Our Favorite Sunday Columnist has some thoughts on the John Bolton affair. Not to be confused with singer Michael Bolton. Grab some coffee and enjoy the read. Do you think it’s retribution?

I think there were several instances where he could be up on charges – a career crook. And what was George Conway doing there??

I’ve not heard one peep about that little cr*p-weasel being there. Kind’a weird, if you ask me.

That depends on whether your definition of retribution is the one in the dictionary, or the one out of the Democrat party playbook

Good morning everyone, and Happy Sunday!
It’s going to be en exciting week in our house as the menfolk discuss our odds in the the kickoff game next weekend, the skills of our new quarterback (son of a very good former Michigan coach, Stella), our own young, charismatic, highly motivated and skilled coach, and all the rest of the team, opponents, etc., etc. That’ll get us through Monday. Then wash and repeat!
While they do all that jee -hawin’, I will get down to the important business of choosing the food and fixing it up. Need some new game day recipes this year.
We will start the fun next weekend on Friday night attending the local high school game. This year we have two grandkids in the marching band. I’m pretty sure we didn’t win a single game last year. But I think we have a very talented marching band!
Hope the week at your house will be just as fun!

Morning Menagerie! It sounds like any exciting week. You will have to share your new recipes. My week will not be as exciting, I’m sorry to say. I do have a doctor appointment (routine) on Monday afternoon.

Unfortunately, I have one in the morning, just bloodwork, and then an MRI in the afternoon. So, Monday won’t be fun.

,GGS is home having finished boot camp in Camp Lejeune. He was named squad leader. He will return there on Tuesday for MOS and other training. He will become some sort of guard at Embassies and such.
I’m driving to Gulfport in an hour to bring him here for two days. I bet after three months with 359 people around him 24/7 he looks forward to the solitude and quiet of my acreage.

I still can’t believe he’s grown, now…… gawd, time flies….

Hope you have a wonderful two days together.
A cherished place, in special company and maybe a favorite food or two. Transportation included. Heaven for a military man on leave.
You do good work, Czarina.

As a former member of our HS marching band, I can honestly say that we had more trophies in our trophy case than the football and basketball teams combined. I was in the band when we marched at the Bicentennial and Indy 500 in the 70’s, and since then they have been to Mardi Gras, The Rose Parade and even Macy’s. Drops mic……… 😉

Go T! What instrument did you play? My granddaughter is on percussion and grandson plays a French horn and some thing I’ve never heard of before in the marching band, which I am told is most similar to the FH, which they don’t play when marching. Anyhow, we like seeing them.
It must have been good fun, as well as a good thing to learn, to be in the band. My single musical ability is pushing the radio button.

Is your grandson playing the euphonium? That is what James played when he was in marching band.

I’ll ask tomorrow!

It is called a mellowphone. It replaces a French horn in a marching band.

I was a trumpet player. Chicks dig the trumpet! Or so I heard. Maybe your GS plays the flugelhorn???

Holy cow. News just south of us. Do we dare speculate on the legal status of this person’s residency? From a few of the things I’ve read, this stuff ain’t even uncommon in Texas.
UPDATE: Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports: At about 2:40pm today (August 23) a deputy sheriff was on I-75 South Bound at the Exit 317 entrance ramp when a Mercedes automobile passed his patrol car, nearly striking it. The deputy followed the car, which was driving erratically, making rapid lane changes, to Exit 312 (Fairmount Highway). When the deputy attempted to stop the Mercedes, the driver aggressively sped away at a high rate of speed, initiating a pursuit. The deputy, soon joined by other deputies, pursued the Mercedes east on Fairmount Highway to the intersection with the State Route 53 Bypass near Blackwood. The violator turned onto the Bypass and continued fleeing back toward Calhoun, with deputies giving chase. The violator drove at speeds well in excess of 100 miles per hour, recklessly outpacing the deputies, until he reached the intersection of the Bypass and State Route 53/Rome Road At this intersection the violator recklessly, irresponsibly, and in total disregard for the safety of any other person, made the decision to cross the roadway and drive the wrong way into oncoming (westbound) traffic. The deputies did not pursue the violator into the oncoming traffic. Within a few seconds, the violator struck a Honda CRV head on. One occupant was killed and two others severely injured. The deputies immediately began attempting to remove the injured from the cars, both of which were burning, and administering first aid. Fire/Rescue and Emergency Medical Service personnel arrived swiftly to extricate and treat the injured. Three persons were airlifted away by heliborne ambulance. The violator, himself severely hurt, has not been positively identified. The Georgia State Patrol is conducting the investigation of the crash, in conjunction with the County Coroner.

That’s awful. Undoubtedly a felon fleeing the police.
Quite a few years ago a cousin of mine was struck head-on by a wrong way driver. She and her two children were killed. Her little girl was named after my mother.

Did you read how this was all engineered by the DEI gay gang at Blackrock? They own enough CB stock to have brought the hammer down on them, internally.

I had forgotten this, but Bronco Bama took control of the Census Bureau when he rolled into office back in 2009. So the caterwauling, clutching of pearls, and gnashing of teeth is a bit ironic, if you ask me.

Good afternoon, All. Clear and sunny here and just slightly cool, but warming up. Pleasant days.
I was pretty excited this morning. My granddaughter is going to be in the Confirmation class that is starting. She is only 10 yrs old, but she is very mature. Her father is going to help teach it, so I know she will learn a lot.
Hope you all are having a great day.
