Both are good, but I don’t particularly care for meringue. Finally got good at making the stupid stuff, but I see no reason for it except it’s hard to throw away so many egg whites when you make banana pudding. That’s all I got.

All good ones. My mother made the best lemon meringue pie, and it was my dad’s favorite dessert.

It is a teeny bit cooler this morning and sunny. We evidently still have some more heat to go through, but it will start cooling off gradually in this next month according to the not-so-accurate weather guessers.
I had a great aunt who made the very best lemon meringue pies. Her crust was always perfect and the lemon was not too sweet and not too tart. Then the meringue on top was so good and toasted just perfectly. She was such a nice person, too.
Well, try to stay cool and dry today.

Afternoon! I made refrigerator pickles this afternoon. I planted three cucumber plants in grow bags this year, and they are going crazy. The variety I planted is Wisconsin SMR Pickling Cucumber. Nice heirloom variety.
