Prayers for all who have been in harm’s way, and for the families who lost precious children and other loved ones. I’ll be making a donation, probably to Cajun Navy, since I don’t know on the ground stuff down there.

I can only pray, and believe, that people will turn out for Texas like the ones who helped in North Carolina and Tennessee last year.

Here is a local organization who is handling a great deal of donations for those so inclined. They are 100% local and all monies stay local. But donate to the charity of your choice, as the Cajun Navy as Menage mentions is one of the best. We even heard yesterday from the Salvation Army that they are full up on “in-kind” donations like water, food, blankets, etc.! Thanks to all of you and your prayers. We’re thissssssss close to having power at Rancho el Gordito!

    Thanks for reaching out Tex,

Good to know of a local and reliable donation source.

Thanks also to Wee for the correct link to the Cajun Navy.

    Lots of work ahead.

Quick update from Rancho el Gordito – We have power and water. No interwebz as of 9:24 am Central time. Current confirmed death toll is 111 and 170 still missing overall. More deadly than Hurricane Harvey in 2017. I was in HOU during that event, and here during this one. Not sure if I’m the cause, or part of the solution. 😉

Well, hide for a bit – Godzilla’ll be after y’all next! At least cooling down will help your feelers for a minute. Can y’all foster anyone’s pets or livestock?
