Lucille, I love that tree. And I’d be much more at home and relaxed at the river than Mar-a-Lago. God knew what he was doing when he made me not even close to rich. Good morning!

Good day, Menagerie! Mrs. Marjorie Merriweather Post sure spent her riches on the estate. Seems to me that she coughed up a million on a carved dining room table when a million dollars was huge. This is likely a photo of it with a table cloth on its precious wood. I wonder if it was sold with Mar-a-Lago at the time Donald Trump bought the property….

Wow! I’d much prefer a biscuit at the campfire up there! I have no culture!

LOL! A nice campfire biscuit sounds real good right now, slathered with butter from the cooler.

Good mornin’, and happy Saturday! Time to head outdoors and have a cup or two to start your day. A little more color today! Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

Sometimes change is good! I like the color, too.

Ooh T, I love that red pot. Good morning! Red stimulates appetite and emotion. In my professional opinion, it should not be used in any room but a dining room. Or maybe a game room. And few can actually pull off the use of such a color and have it look good, and not regret it.
Also, lots of women want pink in their daughter’s rooms, and yellow elsewhere, and do not understand at all how to pick shades that will really look good. Those two colors are really very hard to choose!
For awhile, I actually thought about setting up a part time business for color consulting. I started charging for my quotes when I had my faux painting business because over half the people who asked for quotes were really just trying to get me to choose their paint colors for them. Still think it was a decent idea. Charge about $100 and give them a few hours and some workable choices, and how to know ways to choose.
There, color theory 101 for the day! And a campfire is perfect for that red!

‘Afternoon, Menage! Thank you for the lesson. I saved myself $100! 😀
It really is amazing how colors can make a major difference in a house or a room.

I have used shades of green in three rooms: kitchen, bath and guest room. The bath is my favorite; a pale spa green/aqua*. My favorite room is the guest room; it has three different solid pale colors on the walls – one yellow, one green and two aqua (opposite). Sounds weird, but it makes me happy.
*I looked on line, and a comparable color would be Behr Summer House.

Pretty color! Greens and blues are my favorite colors, but my choices are usually darker. My current house is mostly blues, but I’ve been thinking of putting a lot of green accent colors into it.
The walls are all a white color that is a number of shades of pure white. Certain times of the day it seems to have a tiny hint of blue, but later in the day some rooms seem to have a faint bit of green in the color, in a good way.
When I had to leave the cabin, which of course was pretty dark, I opted for bright and light.
I bet your bedroom is cheerful and happy. Another opinion I have, this one quite unprofessional, is that people spend years, decades, in a home where they’ve chosen colors based on other people’s opinions.
Sure, it’s hard to sell a home painted weird colors, which I think is incredibly dumb as paint is easy to fix. But do what you love, then paint again if you’re going to sell it. And by weird, according to the “experts,” that would be anything not neutral.
I also know that people don’t understand how much color impacts mood, and so they put up with it.

In my last house I painted my bedroom (upstairs bungalow) a very light – almost white – blue. It was very restful.

Morning czarina. How’s your sister?

Much better. Seems the break in her leg is minor and will heal in two months. I got him to write for Physical Therapy immediately.
More importantly, we got him to take an X-ray of her neck, which hurts a lot and constantly. Turns out she has a broken bone in her neck, which was not attended to on the ER visit, because they did not take an X-ray. She has been walking around for 10 days at risk for paralysis.
Needless to say it was immediately attended to, so now she has pain pills, two neck braces, lots of precautions and we were vary well treated probably because they realized the mistake they made the first time.

‘Afternoon, czarina! That’s an amazing story about your sister. Praying for a quick healing. I’ll be out back eating my chocolate ice cream.

It looks like it was a very good thing that you went to help her. It is good to have a supporter when you have to deal with the doctors and hospitals.

I recommend older people take along a supporter to take notes, ask extra questions, make sure everything is clear, etc. especially important to go over everything later to make sure important stuff is not missed or misunderstood.

Mornin’ All. Beautiful day here. No rain as far as I can see, and we sure could use some. The sun is out bright and the air is comfortably cool. Pretty nice day. Great day to be having coffee and breakfast outside on a campout.
I like all the national days today. Especially the chocolate ice cream. I still have my VCR and sometimes use it.
Everybody enjoy your day.

Good day, Czarina! My VCR player is packed away since the TV is so old there’s no way to hook it up. When downsizing, I gave away most of my tapes except the most sentimental one purchased when it first came out…CASABLANCA.
I’m told that…
…goes well with chocolate ice cream. Worth a try.
“Hi, my name is Frankie. I’d love to take a hike with you across the Oklahoma Great Plains. We can have a discussion about Daniel Boone shooting a b’ar. Then I’d appreciate a hug, please.”
