Good mornin’, Lucille! I sure would like to drive that car all around Bermuda. Coffee’s ready, ma’am.

Hope your morning has been pleasant, Texan! Driving the Packard around Bermuda would call for a nice suit and hat in winter 1930…
…and Bermuda shorts in summer. This photo makes me chuckle. There was no caption, but it sure looks like General George Marshall…

Good mornin’, and happy Saturday, kids! Time to adjust to life without Elon front and center on the news, although some crazies have already admitted that they willimpeach and prosecute him when they take over the world again. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

Good mornin’, Miss Stella! With the weather that’s come through, the last couple mornings have bee quite pleasant, and a campfire would have been welcomed. Not by noon, but a nice way to start the day.

Well, Texan, that’s a nice spring fire around which to drink coffee from enamelware cups…
…and eat whatever concoction can be scared up…

Good mornin’, czarina. Think I’ll pass on the Fasciitis Day and the self-driving cars but cookies are always good, even if they are French. Grab some coffee, ma’am.

Morning czarina! I’ll have some macaroons with my coffee.

Good day, Czarina! Save your hearing so you’ll know whether or not people speak to you in complete sentences when offering you some macaroons as you let your autonomous vehicle drive you across Utah (even though my personal opinion of such vehicles is that they be banned).

Afternoon y’all! Glad to be home. And today we finally have some sunshine here. Yard is still squishy though. And the danged swallows gained ground on the mud nest they’re determined to build right over my front door.

Hi, Menagerie! Perhaps you’ll have to place a realistic looking carved owl over the door.

We had one once Lucille, but it broke. Looks like I need to order another one! But the location they are trying to nest in is going to be a tricky place to try to hang one.

Looks like you might need to get a REAL owl…LOL!

And here’s the Big Boy, the train that inspired the trip to the National Transportation Museum in St. Louis! It’s on 44 acres, they have everything from an F18 fighter jet to a tug boat, a car museum full of rare autos, and a massive upper and lower train yard with seemingly one of everything. My grandson was ecstatic. And we had a tour guide who taught him lots more stuff to explain to his captive audiences!
This is one of only 8 of the Big Boys left. It’s his favorite train. He didn’t know they had it until we walked up to it. Cool surprise!
There’s so much to see and do in St. Louis. It’s a pretty awesome place. We packed quite a bit into a few days. Also stopped in Metropolis, IL for Superman pictures on the way!

When my son was about 2, he loved his little trains. So we took him to a train museum. A full sized train came around on the track and he took off running, yelling, “It’s gonna get me”. It took a while for me to convince him it couldn’t leave the track. He didn’t realize that trains were actually so big and I didn’t realize that he didn’t realize that.

Welcome home, Menagerie. Glad you all had a fine time seeing the trains and other attractions.
Does your grandson follow any of the railroad channels on YouTube? If not, show him this…

I will show him, but if it’s on YouTube, chances are he can recite it!

The vids really are fun to watch, especially some of them where footage is from the train cab.

Afternoon All. Beautiful day here. People are really enjoying the sun and warm weather. I took Loki for a walk in a neighborhood and then went by a garden supply and bought a hosta to plant in my little planter out front. It is good down to -35*. So, it should last until next year.
Hope your day is as nice.

When we lived In Upstate NY, we moved in after a big snowstorm. We didn’t really know what the yard looked like. Come spring when the snow melted, we found a concrete patio surrounded by hostas, lots of hostas. It was the most amazing thing. I love the way they look and how hardy they are.

Unless you get a little black lab puppy who wallows in them, then digs them all up. Not a single one of the well established hostas survived Riley.

LOL. Hopefully that won’t happen.

Hi, aus! We’re at 81 degrees and sunny, heading to 84 today. Wish I had a nice, shady patio instead of steady sun.
Have a good one!

More northern lights might be visible on the 1st and 2nd. Got to see them down here in TN last year, and it was awesome. Kind of strange. I traveled to Alaska once in the winter and didn’t get to see them, only to unbelievably get a show in my own backyard!
If you’re lucky enough to get some, try looking at them with your phone camera for more intense colors.
