Good mornin’, Lucille! I’ve been through all three of those areas, but apparently not at the same time those pictures were taken. Beautiful country, but those are a notch or three above the average day there.

Methinks that there has been some digital enhancement.
Which is as close to Shakespearian speech, as I will write today.

Ah, I thought t inc’rrect to charm t so, (Shakespearean) but lo, seeth what I hath found! A translator to convert mine own awful misprision into a Shakespearean version. Charm checketh didst not flag the mistake.
Charm checketh? I bethink I has’t a new phrase. Charm checketh hath at each moment seemed a dram enchanted.

Mornin’ all ya’all! Up much too early. Weather has been glorious in C’ville, but a little rain is coming Saturday, then more great days. Glad I’ve been missing the flooding in NO.

Mornin’ All. It is a beautiful day, in the middle 30’s, heading to almost 60*. Love this weather.
Have an appt for testing for cataract surgery on the other eye. So far, everything is good on the first one.
Hope you all have a nice day.

National Picnic Day – when I was a kid we had fried chicken and potato salad picnics, with chocolate cake. Never cooked hot dogs or hamburgers.

That sounds like a true “Southern Living” picnic!
Tasty too, and requires no additional equipment.

Czarina,
It’s English Muffin Day, too.
Your lists add your own unique touch to each day!

Mel’s rendition of these lines has always been my favorite bit of filmed Shakespeare….
An absolute YES to this being served to all Administrative Professionals…
And Ella around 1939-40 relating how wonderful it is to take a chance….

Good mornin’, and happy Hump Day! Making sure we don’t run out today. One of my favorites for an office…..or thirsty coffee drinkers. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

Ah, Bunn. The workhorse of the office coffee pots. The first cups were good, but beware the brew that sat on the warming plates for too long.

This is a bit of a shocker! At the relatively young age of 80, Tricky Dicky Durbin is not going to run for reelection in 2026. He will be the first dem not to be carried out of the Senate feet first since LBJ became VP in 1960! 😉

Seems to be a movement? Both of our Michigan Dem senators have retired (Stabenow retired this past January) or will soon retire (Peters retiring January 2027).

Methinks the public polling isn’t accurately portraying the private polling.
