Lindy Li has always been a Democrat, but who has apparently turned away from DEI/identity politics. She is an anti-Communist who was born in China, a self-described American patriot who would do anything for this country. She didn’t vote for Kamala, but she didn’t vote for Trump either.

Is she legit? There are skeptics out there. Here’s one.
I frequently suggest that we give grace and be patient with those who have been “red-pilled.” Changing up your worldview can be really unsettling — a shock to the system. I know because I’ve been through it. My conversion, however, didn’t happen in the blink of an eye, nor with the outcome of one election. It was a slow, sometimes painful, process. And it wasn’t a linear one. Nor was it a swing from one extreme to the other. (I’d characterize my former life as that of a moderate Democrat/classical liberal and my current views as center-right.)
I don’t begrudge Lindy Li her hustle, or her ambition. I do, however, have significant reservations regarding her sincerity. And my advice to anyone regarding her would be to proceed with caution.

Mostly I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. I suspect she’s a hustler who wants to be near the powerbrokers.

We are thankful for her pulling the curtain back, but I am often reminded of the frog and the scorpion in situations like this. Tread lightly and trust but verify until they’ve had time enough to show us who they really are.

So many converts, in so little time. It seems like verify and trust lightly as you tread carefully through the narrative until, as you’ve said, time and their efforts prove them.
