Good mornin’, and happy hump day! Last night ended up a bit of a mixed bag, but we at least kept the congressional seats we had. This morning I’ve found a bit of a whimsical imaginary coffee maker. I hope it at lease makes you smile. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

The lady who “replaced” St. Tony of Fauci in the gov’t. was offered another position and didn’t take it so she’s been let go. She was offered the head of Indian Health Services job in AK. Said no, and she’s gone!

Mornin’ All. Gray and misty here and chilly. But, it feels almost warm if I think back to those 0* days. LOL. They are forecasting rain off and on and tomorrow snow. But, I am not too worried about the snow since it isn’t supposed to drop below 35*. And, then more rain. I don’t remember it being like this the last two years.

I have a Dr. appt to get tested for cataract surgery this morning. So, I had better go. How is it that dogs know before you do anything obvious, that you are going to leave? Loki has been out of sorts all morning, since we got up. SMH

Hope you all have good weather and a nice day.

Good afternoon, aus! Hope all goes well with your doctor visit. I just looked up what progress has been made in cataract surgery and the procedure is much advanced since my mother had such surgery in the 1990s.

Here’s a fascinating bit of history: “Cataract surgery has a history spanning thousands of years, with the earliest documented procedures dating back to ancient Egypt around 2000 BCE. These primitive surgeries involved using a sharp instrument to displace the cataract from the visual axis. In India, around 600 BCE, the renowned physician Sushruta described a cataract surgical technique in his medical treatise, Sushruta Samhita.”

That is really interesting. Thanks. I know so many people who have had this done and it worked really well. I know there have been a few problems, but they are pretty rare. So, I am looking forward to getting it over with. They will do my right eye in a couple of weeks.
