Looks like Gen. Thoroughly Modern Milley was quite busy the last 3+ years actually running a war. We may have suspected, but now the details are oozing out. This was from yesterday, so no April Fools joke. He should be dealt with with extreme prejudice.

That’s just his speed, alright – no wonder the war is going as badly as it is. Bastage belongs under the jail.

POS. Have we heard if his clearances have been revoked? I hope so because all of a sudden he’s useless as a TV talking head. He’ll have to make money selling his coloring book.

In honor of sourdough, here are a few potential benefits. Easier to digest, contains probiotics through the fermentation process, might help reduce inflammation, not only a source of fiber, but also vitamins and minerals like iron and magnesium, besides just plain being delicious. Obviously, you can use whole wheat and rye flours make delicious brown breads for more fiber.
Other fun and delicious foods you can add sourdough to include the single best chocolate chunk cookie I’ve ever had, blowing every other chocolate chip cookie out I’ve ever tried completely out of the water, pancakes, quick breads, especially muffins, granola bars, and really good crackers.
Rumor has it that it makes good biscuits and cornbread, but so far I’ve refused to mess with those. I ought to though, just to be sure. Because it sure made my pancakes and muffins so much better. Crackers are so good you simply can’t stop eating them. Fortunately, they’re kind of an aggravation, so you just make a small batch.
I’ve also discovered making a bitty little round loaf of bread in those little cocotte pots I bought for egg dishes, just a perfect serving for one or two people, so no worries about not needing a whole loaf. And if you have a little left, make croutons!

More inspiration to use sourdough.
I found a really good commercial sourdough boule through friends.
So, I started with muffins. I’m making small batch recipes, since I can cover more sourdough territory that way.
Thanks Menagerie.

I sometimes make grilled cheese sandwiches with sourdough bread and, I think it was Colby/jack cheese. I really love that.

Colby-Jack makes really good grilled cheese, I think. Add a bit of gruyere cheese if you have it.

No, I don’t know what that tastes like. I usually have sharp cheddar, cheddar/jack, and Monterey Jack.

Gruyere is a nutty type of Alpine cheese. It’s a good melting cheese that is used in fondue, quiche or melted on top of French onion soup.

I read it was aged Swiss.

It’s made in Switzerland, but doesn’t taste like what is normally thought of as Swiss cheese. Far superior.

Good day, Czarina! Sourdough is my favorite kind of bread, though I’ve never actually made any myself…
How to Ferment Sourdough Properly
One of the keys to baking great sourdough is proper fermentation: This starts with a strong starter and continues through to proofing and baking.

I think the first day of April should be National Give Flowers Day and forget April Fools’ Day….
Though I’m not a smoker and never have been, it’s people’s private business if they choose to smoke where it’s not prohibited. I’m not interested in joining a march for the Take Down Tobacco National Day of Action.
President Trump has said he’s going to stop production of the penny because of the cost. So let’s save all our pennies and give them to some kids who plan to start collecting them as a hobby.
As for SAAM day and month, why would they have such an “Action Day” on April Fools? REAL sexual assault victims, both male and female, with appropriate evidence should, of course, be given every consideration and respect plus justice in a court of law. Attacks must be taken seriously to protect us all. However, just what is the true definition of “sexual assault”?
Hope this won’t offend anyone, but, IMO, today it’s anything from a wink to actual rape. Are SAAM awareness and action days a leftie construct wherein if you misgender someone it’s an assault; or if you flirt with a guy, he can have you investigated by HR; or a person gets to accuse someone of rape without any evidence like the gal who said Donald Trump assaulted her in a dressing room? Such actions and definitions are an offense to actual victims.

Czar collected Pennie’s, so I have hundreds, which are worth nothing. Well, a penny or two.
I used to protest and march in favor of or against whatever. No more.
agreed about sexual assault awareness.

Mornin’ All. Got up early to call and get a 1099 from one pension. Found out they had changed business that handled the accounts and had to get it all straightened out. But, the guy who was helping was extremely patient and got me through it. I needed the paperwork for doing my taxes next week. I thought I had it taken care of several weeks ago, but evidently the woman I dealt with didn’t know what was going on. Anyway, I have the copy so I know it is right now.
It is really ugly overcast outside now. It rained last night and is supposed to rain all day off and on. Glad I got the full-spectrum light bulb because it is pretty dark in here without it.
Well, hope everyone is okay after all that mess yesterday. Stay safe and have a good day today.
