    There is natural beauty…

…and there is beauty that God inspires people to create…

Posted March 16, 2025 – Meet Agnes Kasparkova, a Czech woman who, in her 80s and 90s, turned her village into a masterpiece. Inspired by traditional Moravian folk art, she hand-painted intricate blue floral patterns on walls, door frames, and even the village chapel—not for fame or money, but purely for the love of it.

Though she passed away in 2018, her art still lives on, inspiring generations. Imagine if she had let doubt stop her. Imagine if she had thought, “I’m too old,” or “My hobby is too weird.” But she didn’t. She created beauty, left a legacy, and brought joy to her community.

Good mornin’, and happy Friday eve! I’m just a bit queasy right now after seeing the Easter hor’s d’ouerves. Hopefully this coffee will ease the symptoms. Modern steampunk this morning. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

This is interesting, and also good news. Projections are looking like several blue states will be losing electoral votes that are being picked up by relatively solid red states for the 2032 Presidential elections. Right now, the count is a +11, so the 312 that DJT won would elevate to 323 if nothing else changed. I call that WINNING!

Tropical plants still in my garage. Was thinking of putting them out last Sunday, but pondered the NO saying to not plant spring gardens until after Good Friday. Good thing I waited, as tomorrow morning is supposed to be 32*.

Also the NO old wives say to not dig a hole on Good Friday or demons from hell will crawl out and get you.

Checking in with my long-time employer, I found the following info:

LAUNCHED INTO ORBIT ON SPACEX FALCON 9, THE HIGH-PRECISION LASER MEASUREMENT DEVICE FOR FIBRE OPTICS

The laser micrometer was launched into orbit on the latest NASA Cygnus NG-20 resupply mission using the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The project aims to test its glass drawing processes in microgravity conditions to produce ZBLAN optical fibers free of defects induced by terrestrial gravity. Marposs contributed to this project with its laser micrometer, normally used in the industrial measurement of wires and cables.

Afternoon All. Overcast here and a little chilly. Not too bad compared to the last few months. We seem to be staying in the 40’s mostly now. Don’t expect too much sun today.

Hope your weather is better and safer than recently. Stay safe.

This is the hospital group that I go to; this hospital is near where I used to live, where my mother was treated and where I had outpatient surgery.

I’m watching an interview of Kimbal Musk, Elon’s younger brother. He also has a sister named Tosca. They are all amazingly successful. I wondered how they ended up as Canadian citizens, and it is because their mother was born in Canada. She became a highly successful model. The entire family is made up of high achievers! If you are interested, here is the interview of Kimbal Musk:
