That was rather a wow sort of clip! Good mornin’, Lucille. Coffee is ready, ma’am.

Good afternoon, Texan! That was a clever way to set up some homemade protection from the rain. Be over for coffee later, thanks!

Good mornin’, Miss Wee! Coffee’s ready. I slept in this morning. I think 2:09 am on Saturday is a tad early to get up, but so it was.

Good mornin’, and happy Sunday! Hard to believe that we’re just at the six week mark of the new Reconstruction of our government. I found this five-gallon stainless steel beauty that can be used in any setting! Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

Good afternoon, Tex,
That is indeed a stainless steel beauty. Sleek.

That’s a beauty, Texan! It deserves some really classy cups. How about some stainless steel and bamboo….
And after the coffee grounds have run their course, the following will come in handy….
How To Use Coffee Grounds In The Garden, According To Experts
Coffee grounds are full of organic matter. To reap the benefits, compost them first so your plants have access to all the nutrients.

Thanks. I hadn’t been thinking about this, but I bet it is a really good idea for the small flower beds outside my door. I used to, back in the 70’s, use a blender to shred what I wanted to compost and it worked great. When I moved in here there was a blender left in one of the cabinets, and I already have one, so I can dedicate one to composting.

Our Favorite Sunday Columnist focuses on the Friday Follies from the week that was. Here’s her pull quote – “How you view the consequences of the blowup seems like an inkblot test: If you see the U.S. abandoning a faithful ally, you probably are a Democrat. If you see Volodymyr Zelensky as an arrogant grifter who overplayed his hand, you probably aren’t”

” If this administration had a coat of arms, it would be encircled by a motto reading “FAFO.”
I’m dyin’, here….

Some background on the motto from parade.com….
“This slang term has also been used by people in the military for years. It’s a very popular word used in the r/Military subreddit, plus there is FAFO military merch all over. Again, this is a term that has been turned into a threatening call to action of sorts or a confident calling card to showcase a tough or “don’t mess with me” mindset.”

And these guys needed to be aware of the motto before they, well, FAFOed….
Norwegian Defense Minister Forced to Intervene After Fuel Supplier Threatens to Cut Off U.S. Military Vessels
By Jim Hᴏft Mar. 2, 2025 8:45 am
A Norwegian marine fuel supplier just learned a harsh lesson in geopolitics after its attempt to cut off the U.S. military backfired spectacularly.

The Tweeter/X machine is apprently where one goes to get a good read on how people across the Country are responding to events of the day. It’s almost instantaneous. Here’s some chatter on how POTUS was received from one segment of our population on his thrashing of Volod the Little on Friday. Let’s summarize by saying that DJT is establishing a great deal of “street cred” with his negotiating skills.

Finishers’ Medal Day -Every year, cities around the United States and the world hold half and full marathons, triathlons, and other endurance races. Most of the competitors are everyday working people who train before or after work, after caring for their families and keeping their other commitments. Despite rain, snow, wind, and sometimes injury, they remain on a schedule. Its about completing the race.

Czarina,
Some of the best responses to this day’s list.
Tex, You made me smile. You don’t have to worry about being old stuff, when you’ve “the right stuff”.
Aus, Sometimes the “older stuff” performs better than the new stuff. Some times, not! As someone else here has commented, classic vintage clothing, with good care, is often better quality than the new. Classic cars have a beauty all their own.
I actually like the concept of at least checking your old routines to see if a new one will serve you better.
And I have bananas and a pie crust…
And as Miss Stella says, “Enjoy your Sunday, Everyone”

There is a lady at our church who wears vintage clothing. She inherited them from her mother and aunt. Most are from the 50’s and early 60’s, I believe. She is so beautifully dressed and always wears a hat and sometimes gloves. She is a beautiful black woman and so sweet and kind. Her outfits are always gorgeous.

Good day, Czarina! As long as the banana cream pie isn’t too sweet, I’m OK with it….
Re starting new routines…I’m way too comfortable sitting in my office at the computer and only thinking about change. But I do listen to Nina Simone’s beautiful rendition of “Everything Must Change”….

Sunny, very windy and cool. Started out at 42* now in the 60’s, but the wind really is unpleasant. Parades all day and into the night. Lots of happy people and families from now til Tuesday afternoon..

Started out 42*: windy & cold, now 60’s and very windy. Would have to wear a coat to sit outside.
Families and revealers are happy with parades all day and into the night, Downtown and out in the suburbs. Last weekend before Lent. Of course, parades and partying start again for Irish and Italian clubs for St. Joseph’s and St. Patrick’s Days.

Good afternoon, Stella! We’re at 52 degrees and mostly sunny. From here on out it should be pretty nice with a few days of rain and rain+light snow. The rest either sunny or partially. I’m game for that.

Afternoon All. Drove myself to church this morning. I was able to get out of the carport and then the driveway. And, at church, my son’s brother-in-law said that if I ever have that problem again to be sure and call him. They live about 5 min away. I plan to.
I think it might have gotten down to 35* last night, but now it is close to 50*. The sun is so intense here that when it is clear out, it is very warm in the sun, I’m sure over 50* right now.
Well, hope you don’t have too much more winter where you are.
