Good mornin’, and happy taco day! Hope everyone got their homework assignments done and turned in on time! Here’s a full coffee set including creamer, and sugar bowl from south of the border for the day. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

Get a load of the brainpower of California’s next Governor. Compassion and brainpower all wrapped up in one little package. Go to the embedded video in the article.

Turning into springlike weather. 70’s for the next week, sunny, perfect Carnival Weather. Going to have to mow the lawn soon.

Good morning czarina! Lots of melting snow and slush here. Pretty soon the backyard will be muddy.

Important time out here. Who writes a capital Q in cursive like a 2? Is that what we were taught? If so, maybe my teachers changed it. I do not remember writing it like a 2 or a drunk lower case l, which is what our writing book shows.

I was taught the 2, but prefer using a more recognizable “Q”. Never had any issues with teachers about it.

What’s in the book looks like a lower case l went out and did vodka shots with old Russian grandmothers who look like Baba Yaga and have chin hair.

Upper case, I meant.

Good afternoon Menagerie,
An “old school” English teacher once failed everyone in the class who used anything but the cursive “2” Q.
Tough as nails, but made the students pay attention to details.

I was taught the cursive “2”. Since I used it so rarely, I often got confused when I did use it.

I had good teachers like that as well.

I think it depends on the teacher.

Thanks everyone! Like czarina, I don’t remember the 2. What he has in his book kinda looks like a 2, but not. Contorted. Anyhow, I told him he could do either one of those first 2 showing on the video still.
My husband doesn’t remember the 2 either.

I’m a lefty so all of this is purely academic and foreign to me!

I don’t remember ever using the 2. Learned cursive in 3rd grade, about 1958.

Mornin’ All. It is probably up in the 40’s again today. A lot of the snow has melted and if the sun comes out I expect more to be gone. Of course they are forecasting more snow. Se la vie ( don’t know if that is spelled right.)
Hope you all have a nice day. More winning ahead.

Mornin’ mom! It’s up to 50° here and sunny. Lots of sloppy snow and slush. It’s c’est la vie, by the way (it is the life).

LOL. I knew what it meant, but I didn’t know how to spell it. I guess that was a phonic spelling.

Hm. Maybe that should be a phonetic spelling.

Tomorrow is trash pickup day here, but I had a problem (I think I mentioned it the other day): My trash and recycling bins were frozen to the ground. They were at the corner of the house where there was a drip, creating a large amount of ice. I spent a bit of time today pouring boiling water around the wheels and finally released them from their icy prison. Fortunately it’s a nice day!

National Clam Chowder Day – prefer New England to Manhattan
National Chocolate Covered Nuts Day – love them!!!

Good afternoon czarina! I love chocolate covered nuts (and just about anything else except bugs). Clam chowder is okay, but I prefer spaghetti with clam sauce.
